I made one two years ago and we’ve carefully put it away every year and we put it up yesterday! It still looks amazingly beautiful! Thank you for this project! 🎄🎄🎄🎄
I can’t believe what a difference the magnets make! I can’t wait to “fix” my daughters from 3-4 years ago! Just made one for my grandkids and it is all sitting so nice I can’t get over it! I also used 80 lb I think for the base and that is super helpful, I even doubled some of them and glued together but you have to make sure all the slots line up well, I had to use a Kraft knife and fix some of them while doubling up, but it is super sturdy this time around!
Magnets!!! Why didn’t I think of this!?! I’ve used the same one for the past 5 or more years for my oldest daughter and constantly had to deal with them falling out. I’m going to fix that today! Thank you!!
I'm wondering if the magnets are truly necessary. I mean, I know that I don't have to use them, but do the drawers just fall out without them? This is a beautiful advent calendar.
Hi Jennifer; great video. I know you say there are 3 box sizes, can you tell us what the three different sizes are? I’m trying to see what I can place in each box. Thank you,
You can see the details on the blog post. The smallest ones can fit Hershey Kisses or peanut butter cups in them. jennifermaker.com/christmas-tree-advent-calendar-25-days-projects/
I'm making one right now on my Circuit Joy. I had to hand cut out the large tree shelf, medium and large boxes but everything else was fine. If the large and medium were not two boxes I think it would have been able to do them all on the Cricut Joy.
@@JenniferMaker what about making two layers of each of the octagons and making tabs that you glue between each of the octagons on either side of the slits and then gluing those to the support pieces.
I got some kid chap stick, small keychains mini jar of Nutella fits great in bottom ones, money, some others suggested mini erasers, holiday tattoos. I bought a few things that did not fit in, books, ornaments and in those days are slips of papers that say “see mom for day 11 treat” (made for my grandkids) . Gift cards will fit in the larger ones as well.
@@snowcrustracer your welcome,p! there are definitely some cute inexpensive items that just don’t fit, so the slips and dollars really help in those top boxes!
Hey Team, not sure what I might be doing wrong, but I'm not getting credit for watching videos. I watched 3 times & didn't get credit on either video today.
I like how we can use any scraps big enough for this.

So cute this will take me a year to finish. Just to find all the little things to put in the boxes.❤❤❤😊😊😊
These different papers are really fun. Got mine last week.
I love this project. It is so cute.

These are beautiful and I've made 2. Often thought about adding magnets! :-)
The magnets really help!
I'm wondering if the magnets are truly necessary. I mean, I know that I don't have to use them, but do the drawers just fall out without them? This is a beautiful advent calendar.
Yes they do fall out easily without the magnets.

@@JenniferMakerOk, thank you.

🥰
Would it work with the cricut joy?
The files in this project are a bit too large to be cut on a Cricut Joy or Joy Xtra.
@@JenniferMakerI would love to do a small tree with the Cricut Joy

I really want to know where is your mat from, the one with the lotus flower
That is from Cricut.
Is there a way to secure the support pieces to the octagons?
Not like the magnet inserts. We have not come up with a way to perfect that.
@@JenniferMaker what about making two layers of each of the octagons and making tabs that you glue between each of the octagons on either side of the slits and then gluing those to the support pieces.
Can magnets be cut with Explore 2?
Yes 😊🌻
❤❤❤
❤️ ❤️ 💕
Why not move all the magnet sheets on 1 mat?
You can do that
Is there a way to make this if you don’t have a Cricut?
Yes, there is a pdf file that you can printing out and cut by hand. jennifermaker.com/christmas-tree-advent-calendar/
What little gifts are folks putting in the tree? Need some ideas other than candy.

Can the whole tree advent be made with the cricut explorer 2
Yes 😊🌻
@jennifermaker. When I try to download 659, 660is the file that shows. Problem on my end or yours?
