  • If you have guests coming over and you want to subtly impress them, or if you simply want to have a more chic style for your own bedroom, the triple sheeting method is just one way for you to experience a taste of the mansion life in the comfort of your home!
    Today, Jezz Strutt returns to narrate how we prepare the beds in our suites at the Harwelden Mansion with the Triple Sheeting method.
    Triple Sheeting is a growing trend in the hotel industry that offers a modern, elegant, and comfortable style for a bedroom. It provides a similar feel to that of a duvet with its additional warmth and cleanliness, but without the additional hassle.
    The Harwelden Mansion is a historic bed & breakfast and event venue located in Tulsa, Oklahoma, overlooking the Arkansas River. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, this English Tudor mansion is also Collegiate Gothic in architecture. Built in 1923 by oil baron, Earl P. Harwell.

      She is indeed! When she's not taking her time doing a demonstration, it's amazing how quickly she can get it done!

    This is pretty much identical to how my staff would make the beds at the hotel I worked at. Except the duvets were not feathered.

    by the time you're done making the bed it's time for turn-down service. 😂

    If I have a queen bed, should I size up a kind for the top sheet and duvet?

    • @HarweldenMansion
      @HarweldenMansion  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thank you for asking! We don't size up.

      I just did this with my queen bed, and unfortunately it doesn't work on a thicker memory foam mattress, plus I have a featherbed. I should have sized up to a king for certain

    I looked this up and found what seemed like a gazillion of these I love the look but do people sleep with all these and euro pillows?could you do a showing of how one gets into these pillow stuffed beds and sleeps?

      That would be an interesting angle to cover! We use multiple pillows partly for decoration, yes, but also because different guests always have various preferences for how firm or soft they like their pillows, so we offer multiple options. Of course, guests are welcome to sleep with as many as they desire under both head and knees (it's surprisingly not uncommon for people to sleep with 2-3 pillows), but we also have designated couches for them to place any pillows they don't want to use. Hope this helps!

      These beds are extremely comfortable and feel much more hygienic than a typical comforter or bedspread with a blanket. As for pillows it’s always good for each side to have two pillows for personal TV watching/reading and sleeping. I like one firm and one medium down pillow. As for decorative pillows, at home I skip the sham pillows and use 3 decorative. Many more than that and you just have to deal with a bunch of pillows to get into bed

      @@HarweldenMansionI don’t use throw pillows anymore. They end up on the floor or under the bed! Guess that’s why they call it throw pillows. Not practical and more to wash. Also they tend to be the first to get food stains on. But for esthetics. It’s pretty

    Where does the third sheet go??

    • @heatherklockcarlson
      @heatherklockcarlson 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think they’re referring to the bottom sheet plus the two top sheets being the three sheet method.

  • @susanneagee524
    @susanneagee524 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Why the top sheet?

    • @HarweldenMansion
      @HarweldenMansion  2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Good question! The top sheet serves two purposes: (1) It conceals the down comforter to provide a clean, white, and modern aesthetic; (2) it helps to keep the down comforter clean, which then also extends its lifespan.

    Method is not so perfect. Execution, yes.
