A. Gummy smile correction
Gummy Smile patients have always presented orthodontics with a huge dilemma. Excessive gum display during smile in adult patients was difficult to correct without orthognathic surgery in the past. With the application of micro-implants, a large amount of intrusion and retraction of upper front teeth is possible for the correction of an adult Gummy Smile. This treatment is more affordable as well.
B. Management of borderline cases without extraction
Extraction cases can be treated without extraction if posterior teeth (back teeth) can be moved distally (Back) with the micro-implants to gain pace.
