    I love mini phals! As much as I love all of your white pots (I tend to buy light, neutral colored pots), I kept noticing how the pots on your mini phals picked up on colors in the flowers and really accented it beautifully! I may need neutral pots when they aren’t blooming and colored pots when they are. 🙃

    I’ve recently got a double of the yellow striped and one of the burgundy striped and I also got 2 doubles of the light pink with a dark lip! So weird all the colors you showed at the beginning I just purchased a few days ago 😂 I love them they have so many buds plenty secondary branches and so many flowers all over the place 😍 I absolutely love the purple ones they’re stunning 😍😍😍💜 I got a purple pinkish and a dark purple but I haven’t come across a sweet royal purple like you mentioned, hopefully one day! You’ve got me addicted with growing my own collection 😩😂 I now have a total of 9 but 3 of them are doubles so basically 12 orchids in my living room 😂😭 4 of them are big ones I have a white with slight green in the lip and purple lines beside the green, also lilac amethyst, pink diamond, and black sapphire 😍

    They're all beautiful! The one at 5:18 looks like Phal Sogo Yellowtris or even Phal Sogo Gotris (seems like both can have high variability), the one at 24:11 could be Phal Chiada Stacy or another hybrid with Phal Sunrise Red Peoker in its parentage.

    They're all so gorgeous!!! I almost bought a second mini phal today but decided I would way until I've been through a full year with my first one to see how well they do in my place. So far it's looking good but I haven't been through summer and fall yet and I'm kinda scared to cut off the flower spikes

      Honestly from what I've seen online you'll only help it by cutting off the flower spikes. You just won't have flowers for a while. I'm going to cut the flower spikes off mine in June (if they aren't gone by then) and see what happens. :)

    You’ve got me convinced about the extra fertilisation slow release provides 💐 looking at your prolific inflorescences, I suspect mine could do with more ‘food’. Currently I’ve been using only liquid fertiliser and everyone (the orchids) looks healthy, plenty of leaves and they do flower. Me thinks - as you say - they’re hungry feeders and there’s more potential! ⚡️

    1:55 (mini) Phal. (Dtps.) Sogo Allen (¿Orange?)
    Currently in bloom, flowers 1.5in/4cm wide.
    .
    5:55 (mini) Phal. (Dtps.) 'Little Black Pearl'
    (Parentage: 'Ever Spring Prince'/ 'Black Butterfly' - I think ¿😮? or, different name..? Uncertain...)
    But, I've seen it sold as 'Little Black Pearl'.
    .
    .. AND, I have one in bloom -right now.
    (Flowers are 5cm/2in. wide)
    L👀ks just like that...👍🏼

    First off, these are all beautiful ❤️. I have a question, and forgive me if this is off topic. I just got a beautiful orchid that has purple and white mixed together in the blossoms. Can I expect it to continue to blossom this way in the future or will it revert to either white or purple blossoms exclusively in the future?

    Those mini phals are beautiful!
    Danny, would you have any info about Tolumnia Herbert Rohrl? I bought a small plant mounted on bark in 2020 from a reputable company. It’s still alive but it seems like it isn’t growing. Is this really a slow growing orchid?
    I also bought a mini phal also mounted on bark from the same nursery in 2021. It also seems static. It produced a new leaf that split. Other than that, nothing’s happening. Help!

    Hey!! I have the one at 11:25 too! I made a research and got the ID Phal. OX Prince ("1480"?).
    Edit: sorry for the mistake but they are very similar tho :)

    • @Diane_Ozdamar
      @Diane_Ozdamar 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The one you're mentioning is a bigger flowered Phal, not a miniature, look at how rounded the petals are in comparison and at the shape of the lip with longer, visible tendrils :)
      This is more likely a hybrid that shares some parentage with Phal Chia E Yenlin (it is even possibly one of the multiple clones of Phalaenopsis Chia E Yenlin), possibly a non-registered one that is only sold under commercial names or codes. You can look up TWM-TF10-8 on Google, you should be able to find images of a mini Phal hybrid that looks very similar in terms of shape and coloration.

      @goncalofernandes9721 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Diane_Ozdamar Thank you!!
      Mine is bigger indeed haha
      The pattern is very similar tho. The only difference is that hers has a more darker purple i think.
      Edit: Also, do you know if that "1480" is right? I only saw it in a few places. TYSM! You know so much about orchids!!

    • @Diane_Ozdamar
      @Diane_Ozdamar 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@goncalofernandes9721 '1480' is the name of the clone, there are multiple clones of Phal Ox Prince that are available on the market, the differences between some of them may be pretty subtle so it's hard to know for sure whether it's this exact clone or not without a tag :)
      There are also other Phals that look like Phalaenopsis Ox Prince (many of them are extremely variable on top of that), so it could be a different hybrid with similar colors and patterns.
      For noID Phalaenopsis complex hybrids that can't be identified for sure, you can write "cf" on the tag before adding the name of the registered hybrid that looks similar (for instance "Phalaenopsis cf. Ox Prince"), that way if you ever want to repurchase it, you know which one to look for :)
      And you're welcome, happy to help :)
