Grants Pass homeless camping law wasn't abusive, they allow homeless to camp in designated parks but they must move to a new park every week, this distinction means they are camping and the park is NOT their home. Homeless advocates think making them move every week was criminalizing homelessness, it is not, they would only get a ticket if they wouldn't move, some resisted moving to test the law, they failed. What did they really want??? What they wanted was to get free housing, utilities, heat, air condition, food, all their needs taken care of by taxpayers and they consider this a right.

There are a thousand ways a person can be homeless. If you as are homeless and broke, how do you pay your fine? The government has no way of fixing the problem, since it created the situation in the first place with their regulations to "improve life"! And tax the people to death to create jobs for themselves ! What we need is a present day Roosevelt,!

It's not a crime but you can do a better job not living in squalor and cleaning up after yourselves. There is no reason outside of laziness and drugs that these people can't clean up after themselves. Providing that happening they can live in a tent outside of the city in a designated area. If not, then it's jail time or mental health treatment.

We need work programs like Roosevelt had during the great depression. Did Roosevelt put them in prison? Did he put them in mental institutions? I THINK NOT! To much self righteousness and confusing thinking seems to be the order of the day! Giving up and doing drugs are nothing but symptoms when you Iose all hope for a decent future. This breaks both heart & soul😱...
When a society dehumanize any other group of people, for what ever reason, that society dies a little. A poor person doesn't want to be poor. They are victims, who have lost all hope & given up. They have been treated so badly society sees them as nothing more than trash.. it's wrong on so many levels. What's next??? Forced labor camps??? Why does this look & sound like something Hitler would say??🤨
