Rust Bucket Teardown Ep 3

- Ok, another teardown, this time way less fun with way more rust! The Rustbucket is in the shop to get all the remaining good parts removed. The primary goal is to get the roof off which will be used to fix the racecar but first, I need to remove the glass. I attempted it myself and it went hilariously wrong. Sometimes it's better to just hire the professionals!

And ayyyye! Jeremy! He’s a good guy! He’s helping me find a place! 🙏🙏
Eyyy! Nice yeah I can use some help ha
Great content brother. You're a true inspiration. Im all the way from South Africa. Tedious or not, keep them coming.
Will do! Glad people enjoy them
8:20 I was hoping for a 'Pineapple Express' moment
Haha omg that would be painful lol
these videos give me motivation to get in the garage. also, what are the chances you can do a video going thru everything you bring on race day? curious what and how many spares/tools you bring
Oh yeah, I can absolutely do that!
MORE CIVIC SEDANS
As soon as the windshield wiper wouldn’t come off I was like “GEAR PULLER!”
Haha yeah that could have worked. The grinder was quick and easy too though.
@@EricKutilRacing only reason it sprung to mind was they were welded together on my E92M and I obv didn’t want to destroy them - PB blaster, heat and a gear puller finally got them off unharmed. It sucked ass.
Love to watch you working in the garage! 1 question - how did you do a front glass heating?
Check out windshield defrost kit on bimmerworld.com. They sell the whole kit to install it
Had no idea you could install defrost strips to the front windscreen, don't get much cold in Australia but will definitely take a look at this! Also, all this progress your making keeping me motivated to work on my civics.
Thanks man! Glad to help ha. Defrost grids are very common, especially on pro racecars as well. Although gt level cars are way more advanced and can't even see them
Fun fact- in modern unibody cars, front and rear glass is considered structural. That's the reason I was not able to get my I-CAR structural tech certification.
Oh wow. I never even thought of that
@@EricKutilRacingyou inspired me to buy a track car. I have an RX7 but it's my dream car and I can't bring myself to really drive it. Picked up a really nice 1 owner Del Sol and I'm going to be hitting gridlife events in Sundae Cup next season .
