well its probably more fair to compare the gsx-s750 to the gsx-r600. It would also be interesting to remove the fairings off a gsx-r750 and put a straight bar on it and see how it is to ride haha
@@whodat4265 There is no better or worse between the two, they are just different. Short answer: take the gsxs if you ride primarily on the road and thake the gsxr if you ride primarily on the track.
I have just brought a 2012 GSR 750 waiting for it to come down from the North Island of New Zealand to where I live in Dunedin in the South Island. I am 58 years old and just sold my brilliant 07 FJR 1300 to get the GSR which is much more suitable when now most of my riding is around town.I thought I might give bikes away after riding for 41 years but that stupid idea lasted for one week.
Interesting - at 2:02 the licence plate is KYII UGK - - that is my Son's bike on test afore he bought it Feb, 2015. MCN was testing the Suzi at Brands Hatch, but it's now safely ensconced in Warwickshire!
I was there that day, and it was truly lovely, weather was nice, track was hot, tyres got ripped to shreds. Met the MCN riders and Keith Flint who was also there that day. They picked a good day to test bikes at Brands.
Being stuck in the US, I can't buy the GSR 750... Personally, I would love to have both... then I would need nothing else - ever. Already own a 2008 GSXR 750, so I am half - way there !
Nice video and thx for the audio apology. However, there is a cure for wind noise. Its called the redhead windscreen and they're vlog biker approved and come in many colors.
I have a gsr 750 ABS 2012 and i use it as an everyday commuter bike and i have to say its superb,Its more than quick enuf, handles and stops well and i give it some stick and its returning 45 mpg. and i havent found it to stand up under corner braking
Would be awesome if they would do this again with the newer versions of the bikes. I got myself a hold over gsr 750 for a steal, but was originally looking for the new version. I like it alot more than many other reviewers have, but getting it for the same price as a Yamaha r3 or ninja 300 helps.
I have always liked motorcycling, but the newer supersports have priced themselves out of my price range. I really do like these naked bikes, and they are way more affordable. Got mine about 2 weeks ago, but still got almost 1700 miles on it despite working the two weeks and be out of town for some of it for work. Just wish some mountains were close
@TheRonnieBecks I have been thinking lately that if I do upgrade from a 600 that it most likely wont be a 1000. I would be very interested in buying the GSXR750 if it came in the same colors as the GSXR600 which certainly looks better! Though im sure it wouldn't be too hard to replace some of the bodywork to match..
@calaiscruiser I agree with you there. I had a GSR600 and really liked the look of it but the GSR750 looks like it's missing a belly pan the cover the exhaust. I'd prefer the GSXR.
Can't expect much from it on the tracks since it was developed solely for everyday riding that's why it was aptly called a "NAKED STREET BIKE". Its engine was designed based on that of the GSX-R 750 but was tuned with emphasis on the low-end & mid-range torque for great acceleration that's needed on city streets. Which means, it has faster acceleration meant for a short dash or shorter distances. They're doing laps on the tracks, why don't they do a 100m or 200m drag race instead?
in the real world they are both as usefully capable for everyday road duties as each other.. it would come down to personal preference.. I personally would take the GSX-R750 because I much prefer the styling, equipment levels and sportier riding position. Not a fan of the more upright riding position..
I have been doing researches for more than 3 months and I have limited choices to the gsr750 but, i am still worried about my image as I am 34 years old and thinking to buy a street fighter bike.
Putting an apology for the bad sound quality is just unprofessional and an excuse for poor direction/ filming etc. Why not just redo the shoddily recorded sections after listening back to them on site? Badly recorded sound has been a fault of MCN videos for a long time - it's a pity, becuse they are sometimes quite informative.
the only thing that matters to me when it comes to comfort for me is the seat, if its not perfect my ass gets sore as hell in less than an hour, i think its because i have below average blood pressure.
@calaiscruiser Yeah I'd definitely go for the 750. The mags like BIKE and that all say it's a better choice for the real world and it still has 140bhp!
Why do suzuki or any manufacturer have to detune naked bikes to make them fit a pre determined corporate ideal. Wake up and build a decent full power naked machine, or maybe I will.
So "doesn't mean anything on the road... blah blah blah.... only way to find out is to take it Brands Hatch for a spin round the track"??? Yeah, because racing up and down a track is the perfect way to tell how good the bikes are on the road.... Geez...
Although, there's one really good rider who can even do more on this bike... enter this in the TH-cam search box: th-cam.com/video/DkUQRZLx5j/w-d-xo.htmlo look for the video titled: Le test ultime de la Suzuki GSR 750 par Mekatrix (Translated: The ultimate test of the Suzuki GSR 750 by Mekatrix). and see how a great rider like Matt Mekatrix enjoys riding this naked street bike unlike those amateur riders testing out the bike with their oppinionated views of how riding it should work out for them.
Can you guys do a new version of this with the newer gsx-s750 and gsx-r750. It would be interesting to see

don't think they ever gotten a boom operator its mostly the same guy holding the camera that does the sound. He just need to buy a proper mic.

SUZUKI! please bring the gsr750 to the U.S.!

Taking a bike round a race track does not decide which bike is better!
Hi,, i am 34 years old,, do you think that the GSR750 would be nice as my first 2 wheels ride?
@TheRonnieBecks I have been thinking lately that if I do upgrade from a 600 that it most likely wont be a 1000. I would be very interested in buying the GSXR750 if it came in the same colors as the GSXR600 which certainly looks better! surely you could lean more on the gixxer because of its handle bar position
@dafecat What was your thoughts when you test rode it? Or did it stand up during breaking during a corner? :O
Is the GSR LAMS approved?
No
@calaiscruiser I agree with you there. I had a GSR600 and really liked the look of it but the GSR750 looks like it's missing a belly pan the cover the exhaust. I'd prefer the GSXR.
That's been redesigned since :p
Chad doing a great impersonation of Graeme Crosby in his early days, big Kawasaki against racing TZ Yamaha's!

I would like to see you out ride Michael Neeves
I'd take either the GSX-R600 AND the gorgeous GLADIUS.
The gsx is from 2005 or did i heared that wrong?

@TheRonnieBecks i think you can get one... seat cover as well, makes the bike look more agressive :)
I have been doing researches for more than 3 months and I have limited choices to the gsr750 but, i am still worried about my image as I am 34 years old and thinking to buy a street fighter bike.
I'm 46 and i ride one, just do it.
@boysvandehood
He said: the engine of the GSR is derived from the 2005 GSXR.
Putting an apology for the bad sound quality is just unprofessional and an excuse for poor direction/ filming etc.

Badly recorded sound has been a fault of MCN videos for a long time - it's a pity, becuse they are sometimes quite informative.
@FrankaDith um, theres isnt THAT much difference in them, bein derived from the same bike, look again.
the only thing that matters to me when it comes to comfort for me is the seat, if its not perfect my ass gets sore as hell in less than an hour, i think its because i have below average blood pressure.
Poor quality in the begining however towards the end the video really picked up. Btw the new gaze is really growing on me
I guess the GSR750 is more of a... "I'm not going to break your back" bike. They both look great though nevertheless.
Sports bikes are dying off. A short road to a wooden box riding a powerful sports bike.
Any bike is, or any extreme sport for that matter, however they are looking like puke compared to the latter part of the 90's and early 2000's
If you'd recorded this on the M25 it'd have had better sound quality.
@TheRonnieBecks Wow that is aggressive. I have found one in Australia so far.
Thumbs Up if you think Suzuki made all their fans proud with the new 600cc and 750cc
SUZUKI should make SV800S - that would be the PERFECT road bike!
@calaiscruiser Yeah I'd definitely go for the 750. The mags like BIKE and that all say it's a better choice for the real world and it still has 140bhp!
Omg I live right near to Brands hatch T.T
license plates on the track? thats weird...
and you didnt exactly break down the bikes.
@imantisocial Ya i did ,that handle bars are higher on the GSR puttin more weight on your bum , my hands go numb now when riding the GIXER .
Makes sense to me the GSXR is to much Bike for a 47 year old man like me the the GSR seem a good fit for me .
Why do suzuki or any manufacturer have to detune naked bikes to make them fit a pre determined corporate ideal. Wake up and build a decent full power naked machine, or maybe I will.
@petter8999 sv all the way- 2 cylinders man, u can't go wrong with the sv...

probably a comb-over ;)
@industrialkhaos Buy a new Tuona V4R or a Brutale 1078 - they're pretty much what your looking for.
back to the crappy sound quality again :(
1.000 times better the gsxr 750 rider than the gsr
@TheRonnieBecks i think you can get one... seat cover as well, makes the bike look more agressive :) watch?v=9O0X30cCcBY
