I know this is very late but I would love to have a Isaiah or Aidan Bible reading. In my adult years my ADHD has made it almost impossible to sit and ready anymore. Having the comforting familiar voice reading the Bible would help me tremendously. If you released, especially in a way you can find books and chapters easily, I would pay an embarrassing amount of money. Thank yall so much for your helping me come back to the faith! I can't thank yall enough!

The main lesson I've gotten from this Weird Bible series is that it is unavoidable to sin. It is, however, our choice to recognise out shortcomings and ask for forgiveness and learn from our mistakes. Had David had the courage to admit to his adultery to his general, apologise, and compensate him, he would've been on a much better trajectory.

You know that when i started reading the bible as a teen David's story was the moment that my heart actually sank.
I had a vague understanding of him against Goliath, but the details of Saul wanting to kill him and he still grieved for that man, he truly was a good man. And then for him to grow older and basically kill his general to wash away his adultery was the moment i felt truly sad for what this meant for him and for men in general.
Specially harsh for me was that David himself gave the comdemnation to kill the rich man that stole the lamb, and then he is spared his own sentence but his child is the one to pay for it. It's 7 tortuous days of him not eating or bathing pleading on the ground for the child's life, but when his son finally dies he just stands up, eats and then cleans himself. When the servants ask him why would he do that after the kid died, he answers that while his son was alive maybe God might have mercy and spare him, but now that he's dead he can't do anything but live untill he reunites with him on the other life.
    It's just brutal.

I know literally no one asked me but your story about your break up got me thinking about how it contrasts with some other sad things i heard recently.
Acceptance and complacency can follow eachother. If something mentally painful happens it does not mean you have to sit thru and see it as a test of charachter while you grow complacent with the situation because you believe you require it. you can also accept the feeling is not a punishment and use it to change course instead of assuming its your cross to bear, no pun intended. Pain isnt there for you to suffer, its there to inspire change. Be well friends. I apologize for getting preachy

I feel like I can't get enough of these videos. Fortunately for me, I'm able to go back in the archive and watch them all in order rather than the wildly sporadic upload schedule that's been happening since 2022 lol.
I've learned a TON and it's actually inspired me to go further into the scripture and gain a better understanding of God's work even in my own life. Even when I was ignorant of it, God gave me all the signs and indications while I believed that I were in control. But I've also discovered that there are NO coincidences in this plane. Just for a quick example-
My two given names were those of apostles, though my parents only gave me family names: Thomas and Andrew. With my two sons, I gave them the names Saul and Silas. The younger, Silas, was born with a rare genetic condition so is disabled and pure. As I've recently learned, Biblically, Silas was an early leader of the Church and accompanied Paul on his missions. And Paul's pre-Christian name was actually Saul. So I, a man named after the Apostles who were known as the "Brother" and the "Doubter", had two sons that were named a duo of the first Christian missionaries completely unintentionally.
I don't believe that there's any allehory or happenstance there. I was among the most staunch doubters of God and Christ until much later in life- well after habing named my sons. I believe that God gave me those specific sons, with those specific names, to imbue a reminder within me that He was ALWAYS with me.
In this same way, I can guarantee that He has done the same in every other life. We are always welcome into God's home if we so choose. And while I spent most of my life denying and sepaking against God, I saw His presence and love within my life. I sincerely hope and pray that everyone else receive the same revelation to find His path.
Thank yoy guys so much for helping me along the path of strengthening my faith.
And thou taketh pity unto the gourd! 😆

My personal view on secular music is that music that is militantly anti-Christian actually strengthens my faith since I instinctively have to be super critical of everything I hear regardless of my opinion of whatever the statement was. Listening to music that actively hates Christianity makes me think harder about why I disagree with it and why I'm a Christian. It's part of the reason I bother to tolerate the dull as hell vocals of Deathspell Omega.

I agree. There are people who say it lets demons in and makes you easier to manipulate. I think if you're strong in your morals, you aren't easy to manipulate, so why would you be worried about temptation to act against God? Even so, even the strongest people throughout history have struggled with temptation and made it out stronger.

Disagree on LGBTQ question. Jesus spoke many times about sexual immorality. Given Jesus taught from the OT Law, we can reference what would be “sexual immorality.” That would be bestiality, rape, incest, adultery, and homosexuality. It is most certainly a sin. It is not our place to judge you, but it is our place to build a society where sin is unacceptable, not celebrated. A gay person can be saved. A person can be gay and love God, because we are ALL sinners. But just a person whose sin is drunkenness should seek to abstain from alcohol, so too should one who is gay seek to abstain from sodomy. It is unpopular to hear, but Jesus is clear on the nature of sin and that all sins equally condemn us. Thus we all equally need grace.
And homosexuality does affect others. All sin does. Look at the state of our schools, drag queen story hour and the like. Drag has always been sexual in nature. The videos are out there of preteens at this events doing sexual dances. There wouldn’t be a push to normalize this if there were not a push to normalize homosexuality before it.

My guys, David was on the roof not Bathsheba. David should have been at battle instead of in his home. At that time it was not just the army going to war but the kings as well.
She was a God fearer, non Jew following the Torah, and was doing the ritualistic cleansing after menstruation. There were both private and public baths set up specifically for women to do this cleansing. They were not on the roof, thats old information, that has been proven wrong by excavation.
Nathan tells David she is the blameless lamb. It was rape. Just because it wasnt a word in their vocabulary does not mean that was not what was meant. II Samuel 12 is pretty clear there. Please call it for what it is, it is important.
There was a power dynamic that made it where she could not say no without the result being death because her rejection of the king. This is still a real and present issue with leaders in the church, ie Bill Gothard, Brian Houston, and Ted Haggard to name three. This is an abuse of power along with the rape which is a control thing to begin with.
Uriah's wife is one of 5 women mentioned in Jesus's genealogy for a reason.
Not gunna lie I'm disappointed in this one and have not been looking forward to this one.

    • @__reneemaof2
      @__reneemaof2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@shaunigothictv1003 That's not what I'm saying at all. He made a major blunder of a sin that forever affected not only his lineage but the nation of Israel. He often times gets a pass because he was a man after God's own heart, but the fact he was human and sinned is minimized because of that fact. He was not the Savior Jesus but a human like everyone else. What I do not like is so often, not saying Isaiah and/or Aidan are doing it, people put him up on a pedestal and ignore the lessons that are there from his life. Rape being unacceptable for any reason, including that of the king to a subject not just between individuals of equal status.

King David definitely should not be considered a role model for young boys in 2023.
The guy was a sick twisted creep.
He was probably sick and twisted before he raped Bathsheba.
After all he just acted out his thoughts.
      I like Uriah though.
Uriah seemed like a really cool guy.
I'm sorry he got betrayed by King David -
who was obviously a deranged rapist long before he met Bathsheba.
He just acted out his prior thoughts about women when he eventually met Bathsheba.

That is a thought process from Disspensationalsts that God changes his mind from one moment to the next.
The scriptures from Moses, the prophets, and Jesus clearly describe YHWH as the same YHWH from the beginning of creation to the end of ages.
To say that Yehovah changed every time from Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, David, Ezekiel, Yeshua(Jesus), Paul, etc. sounds like the description of a schizophrenic maniac.
You can even read the gospels where Jesus advocated for God's "ways of living"(commandments).
The difference nowadays is that we as believers are no longer bound by the letter of sin from disobeying the commandments. Everything written in the Bible is a rehearsal for when He returns.
I'd rather be pleasantly surprised if God comes back in my lifetime or I meet Him and then informs me that all of my righteous works was for nothing.

@@SamlSchulze1104 You sound like you didn’t pay any attention to the New Testament if you think that all the laws of Moses were meant for Christian’s too. It was a pretty big point of discussion and the apostles came to the decision that no the laws like circumcision aren’t meant to be forced upon gentile converts.

I don't understand it. David was the one who was in the wrong here. He's done all of these unbelievably immoral actions towards Uriah and especially Bathsheba yet he gets nothing but a slap on the wrist at the end of it. His family suffered the consequences of HIS actions. I don't even call Bathsheba a part of his family for obvious reasons yet out of everyone, she suffered the most. Why has God allowed such a grave injustice to occur? David going through mental turmoil is not a just punishment. He needs to suffer God's divine wrath and be thrown into the lake of fire for all of the atrocities he's committed. God shouldn't have granted him any sort of grace let alone mercy yet here he was doing so. I don't care if Bathsheba's lineage was born through David violating her. This is and never was okay. I've seen people try to utilize mental gymnastics to pardon David's behavior through God's grace and mercy yet all that speaks to me is that they're more or less so trying to excuse David's actions and prohibit him from suffering a grave yet totally deserved divine punishment from God. The only real way to fix this is for Uriah and Bathsheba to reunite with each other in heaven and have a child together with David FAR away removed from that relationship. I sincerely hope David is suffering that said punishment from God because if he isn't, it shows to me that David and other monsters like him can violate others and get away with it without suffering a severe punishment that they deserve more than anyone else. At that point, how can I believe that God will deliver and make things right for those who were HORRIBLY wronged?

I don’t understand how anyone with sound mind can listen and read all these horrible lies said about the prophets of God and righteous men and still believe this is revelation from God or that the bible wasn’t corrupted. I just thank God for Islam and the final revelation which is the Quran that clears up all the misconceptions and distortions found in the bible/previous scriptures and protects the honour of these men.
Solomon worshiping demons, Saul being evil and corrupt, David committing adultery; this is all clearly slander and lies! These are righteous men, peace be upon them all. They are the best examples for us, they were chosen by God, they would never commit such evil acts, rather they worked righteousness and were role models for us.
Even God being portrayed as a man who was killed by his own creation is blatant lies and delusion and showcases a lack of knowledge of God and his attributes. The creation can never overpower the creator.
Look into Islam upon the understanding of those with knowledge, it will clarify everything.

Do you believe that the people chosen by God must be sinless?
Isn't Muhammid said to be sinful/or at least have sinned as well? (This is a genuine question, not rhetorical)
And no Christian believes that Jesus was overpowered by creation, we believe that He came in greatness, humility, and meekness to die for us, not that he had too, or was overpowered. In fact what made it so much more meaningful was that at any moment God (Father, Son and Holy Spirit) could have broken free
Matthew 26:53 says, "Do you think I cannot call on my Father, and he will at once put at my disposal more than twelve legions of angels?" .
One thing I believe Islam and Christianity agree is that Jesus is the only perfect one. The only perfect role model for us here on earth.

@@slowitty8918 As for God being overpowered by his creation, I need you to reflect and ponder deeply on this matter. Think about God’s perfect attributes. God is the All-knowing meaning He knows everything, He can never be outsmarted by his creation. God is All powerful, the Almighty, He can never be defeated or humiliated by anyone. God is the Ever-Living, He can never die, rather He is the Giver of life. It doesn’t befit the majesty of God to be killed or overpowered. Why would He need to be crucified? To understand suffering? Why would He need to understand when He is the All-knowing? He doesn’t need to be informed of anything. As he says in the final revelation the Quran:
With Him are the keys of the unseen-no one knows them except Him. And He knows what is in the land and sea. Not even a leaf falls without His knowledge, nor a grain in the darkness of the earth or anything-green or dry-but is ˹written˺ in a perfect Record.
      Al-Anʿām, Ayah 59
      And in another verse:
Should not He Who has created know? And He is the Most Kind and Courteous (to His slaves) All-Aware (of everything).
      Al-Mulk, Ayah 14

@@slowitty8918 As for Jesus (peace be upon him) no doubt he’s a great role model. However, he’s not the son of God as God doesn’t need children. Rather he’s a prophet and messenger of God. As for the whole crucifixion event, Jesus was actually saved by God, he wasn’t killed. Rather Allah raised him to Himself and will allow him to descend back to earth near the end of times to kill the Antichrist and become a just ruler on the earth.
Jesus could never be the son of God as it doesn’t befit the majesty of God. He doesn’t need anyone, he is the One, the Supreme, the Ever-Dominating. For what reason would He need children? He’s the Self Sufficient the Praiseworthy, while the creation is always in need of Him.
Jesus is merely a human being not divine. Him having no father doesn’t mean he’s God’s son, in fact our father Adam has no parents, Eve has no mother, what would you make of that? They are mere creations of God, he created however He wills as he is capable of all things. As Allah says in the Quran:
Indeed, the example of Jesus in the sight of Allah is like that of Adam. He created him from dust, then said to him, “Be!” And he was!
      Āli-ʿImrān, Ayah 59

@@slowitty8918 And also in another verse:
The Messiah, son of Mary, was no more than a messenger. ˹Many˺ messengers had ˹come and˺ gone before him. His mother was a woman of truth. They both ate food. See how We make the signs clear to them, yet see how they are deluded ˹from the truth˺!
      Al-Māʾidah, Ayah 75
God is showcasing a clear sign, the fact that Jesus had to eat shows that he’s not divine and he had to be sustained. Allah doesn’t need to be sustained, rather He’s the Provider. So how can you worship someone that needs to eat, can be harmed, and doesn’t know everything?! God is free from all those false claims. One of the reasons the Quran was revealed was to correct mankind with the false beliefs about God having children and the divinity claims about Jesus.
All prophets came with the same exact message which is pure monotheism. That none has the right to be worshipped except Allah, and all other gods are mere creations and fabrications and can neither bring harm or benefit. Only Allah is capable of truly bringing harm or benefit to his creation. Jesus can’t help you rather he himself is in need of God, he can’t even provide for himself rather it is Allah that provides.

@@slowitty8918 Finally, Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) is the final messenger of God and the best role model as he was sent as a mercy to the worlds. He was sent to all of mankind unlike the previous prophets who were only sent to their nation/people. He is also given the best and final revelation the Quran which supersedes all the previous scriptures revealed by Allah. We do not compare the prophets with each other as they are brothers and the best of mankind, and they were all given the same message of pure monotheism. However we must follow what was revealed to the final messenger as God has commanded us to as He says in the Quran:
Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “O humanity! I am Allah’s Messenger to you all. To Him ˹alone˺ belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth. There is no god ˹worthy of worship˺ except Him. He gives life and causes death.” So believe in Allah and His Messenger, the unlettered Prophet, who believes in Allah and His revelations. And follow him, so you may be ˹rightly˺ guided.
      Al-Aʿrāf, Ayah 158
Sincerely look into Islam with a open heart and ask the Creator of everything to guide you to the straight path. I wouldn’t want to go to hell, rather I sincerely want paradise and bliss for you. Also read the Quran
