    I think I met an angel once. A homeless man in a small college town that I hadn't seen before or since. He came up while I was reading by the ice cream shop, and he asked to pray with me. I was stunned but I didn't refuse. I was agnostic back then but I was willing. I spoke with him afterwards and he told me that everything he did each day was for Jesus and that he had no other desire than to serve. I think about him sometimes. I think he kind of helped me find God, or at least kickstarted my journey. Wherever that man is, I hope he's doing well. I told some friends and they think he may have been an angel

      NO WAY. i literally had the same thing happen to me my senior year of highschool. the college town near where i lived has lots of homeless people and he happened to be there while i was walking and asked if i’d pray for him. his name was richard. i go down there a decent amount, and i have never seen him since.

      The day my grandmother died, my older sister was working at a local restaurant. She told me an older lady came into the bathroom while my sister was cleaning it. All she said was "Are you doing alright?" And after my sister looked at her confused she said "just know everything will be ok." My sister left the bathroom confused and a little panicky and said she never saw the lady leave the bathroom and has never seen her since.

      That happened to me a few days before I gave up my pride ( I was pagan at the tome) and my life was a mess. I was at this dog park and started talking to this older guy about everything going on in Mt life. He asked if he could pray with Mr. I asked "will Jesus get mad if I donr end up really believing in him?" The man told me mo and to just try
      3 days later I picked up the Bible and haven't stopped reading it since. I was baptized around 4 months after that ❤

    Just a light critique: asking someone to finish connecting the thought you are setting up creates some very awkward situations. You are clearly very well studied and I am loving your channel, but trying to guess things like "what does Supernatural say angels are?" Triggers my fight or flight response 😂. Fun theory I had: A lot of animals like being pet on the head, including humans.
    Even animals under the sea appreciate being pet by a human despite humans being unable to breathe water.
    Now, what looks like people and can show up anywhere. An angel fits that description.

    Plot twist/ idea for a fictional setting, According to many physicists all of time exists at once because time is another dimension that we can only perceive moving forward but presumably you could move through time the same way you could move up and down, and in the setting angels turn out to be the "post time" 4th dimensional versions of humans, like all the humans that ever existed, hence the powers and the idea that every human has a "guardian angel"

    Well I know this video is from a while ago but im still not quite sure what the main differences are between fallen angels and demons. My original thinking was that demons are the spirits of dead nephilim, but im unsure if that is a biblically correct teaching or not. I try to look up info, but i keep hearing the two used indifferently/ interchangably. When talking of lucifer, he is a fallen angel, but then theres demons that posess people and then Jesus demands them out

    Just a few differences between Catholic and Lutheran from someone raised in Lutheran school until 8th grade and then Catholic high school. Lutherans don't do the whole saint thing. We don't believe in purgatory. We don't believe that the bread and wine actually become the body and blood. We don't do confession. We pray directly to God. We don't accept all of the books of the Catholic Bible into our own. There are many other differences but overall, at least in the church I was raised in, I feel we are closer related to many other Christian religions than we are to Catholicism. Just some observations from what I've been taught.

    Question for y’all. You mentioned that during the Tower of Babel that after the nations where divided there was an angel or “god” that when with that nation. Obviously a lot of the nations strayed away from God so that would imply the angel also strayed away if it’s letting people worship it. Do you think that mean the people where lead astray by the angel or that the people lead the angel astray or some combination of the two?

    • @stevenpina1983
      @stevenpina1983 ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s a Son of god that rules over certain parts of the earth,Elohim, 70/72 of them described after the Tower of Babel. They eventually do not rule the right way (directing towards true worship towards Yahweh) and start receiving themselves. Therefore we start having false worship spread rapidly. Being supernatural and being able to pull minor tricks on humans m sure helped them realize their dreams

  • @9box906
    @9box906 ปีที่แล้ว

    I haven't gotten through the whole video yet, so maybe you justify it later, but I can't see any rationale behind interpreting Hebrews 12:1 to be referring to spectator angels.
    It's directly referring to those that it mentioned before, and are referring to them as the "cloud of witnesses." The only question is if it's a metaphorical meaning of 'witness', in which case it would be talking about their testimonies being preceding examples for us to learn from, or if it's literal, which would mean that all the people mentioned in Hebrews 11 are watching us from Heaven.
    Nowhere in the passage do I find justification for this to be interpreted as angels, nor can I find any justification in the entire Bible for the Greek word 'martys' to be translated as such.

    • @AgamemnonTWC
      @AgamemnonTWC ปีที่แล้ว

      Agreed. Looking at the verse in context, especially following chapter 11 (and keeping in mind the concept of Biblical chapters is much much newer than the Bible), it seems abundantly clear to me that these witnesses are those who were martyred for God.

    I like these wacky Bible stories bc, the religion has been around for so long and translated through 3-4 different languages that few if any people speak anymore, that it's left to be a strange mix of history and fantasy with no real way of knowing if that all really happened or if it was drug fueled bible fanfic. We're finding things that attest to date and locations of major settlements, but who knows about the supernatural aspects.

    Question about the creation timeline though.. In certain translations it doesn’t just say “on the first day this, on the second day that, on the third day…” It also says “the sun rose and the sun sank, this was the third day. The sun rose the sun sank, this was the fourth day.” Some also say “there was evening and there was morning- the first day…” etc. That is very literal and not open to interpretation. Are we considering that to be a mistranslation? What’s the input on that? Kinda feels like we’re saying God didn’t just simplify it, he straight up lied to Moses, which is not something God is in the business of doing.

      @TheWeirdBible my birthday is August 25th, I await 2 birthday present from the Channel. P.s. God bless you guys for helping people find the Bible more interesting. Most people think it's just a rule book that preachers teach out of, I was one of those people once.

      @@TheWeirdBible I mean the episode was so fucjing awesome on its own, but there were so many topics I would love to hear Wendy's opinion on , and I'm sad due to this loss of potential cuz this episode was the one that NEEDED Wendy's input the most of all of them. I hope you'll be able to make a list of topics you should talk about in the some bonus section of the next weird bible

    If you boys aren't gonna read 4th Ezra, 2nd Baruch, Book of Jubilees, Book of Enoch, Book of Jasher, Testaments of the 12 Patriarchs, Gospel of Nicodemus, among MANY others then you honestly have no right to be speaking on these things. Comment back and I'll tell you all the other Books that are a must read. The Father has answered ALL questions that man could have, the problem is that most aren't willing to put in the work to find those answers
