Started with the need to purchase. Thought every knife I got was a forever knife. Discovered that I'm able to be content with the few awesome ones I have. Of course I want every knife I like, but I've learned to enjoy the ones I have. Still watch knife content though 👍😁👍
I hear you, brother. I am a knife addict, too, though my collection is tiny and inexpensive. It certainly is hard to resist buying more knives especially this time of year. The good news is that there are many worse addictions to have.
The bug certainly bites hard.n.strong. I need to develop an ointment. Thanks Ken. I really like the small leather pouch from your GAW or the OLight pouch you showed (go back and forth each week).
I have more than 300 knives in my collection. These days, I will only buy a knife that's completely unique or visually appealing. I'm partial to natural handle material (wood, antler, bone, etc.) but have plenty of knives with man-made materials as well. My favorite fixed blade knives are from Bark River. I wish they'd come up with a good folder. Anyway ... you have a great collection.
I’m adjusting my collecting parameters to reasonable budget pricing, this helps me to enjoy the hobby even though my budget says no. Currently the parameter is if it costs more than eating out then it’s too expensive. Sounds reasonable
Test your ability and try selling some of your knives that you don't carry anymore for say any more than 4 months and they don't have sentimental value to you

It’s addictive collecting them. I thought if I just picked one and used only that one for a month then maybe I could cool it…. It did help
I am doing a personal challenge. Carrying a different knife every day till I run out. Today was day 79.
Certified Knife Addict for sure. But I have control 🙄
