Darkstalkers as a franchise has always shined with wild animation among some of the best for the system Capcom used for it in arcades. Plus such a wild roster of characters to boot!
I always loved how fancy and flashy the Darkstalkers series are. And really appreciate that they all have a specific victory quote for mirror fights in the 2nd episode
Some character treat there mirror match as some upstart of there race tried to beat them like Demitri thinking another vampire tried to usurp him and Jon calling the other werewolf a puppy that needs to go back to his pack same with Phobos treating the other one as a defective unit
I'll never forget the first time I saw this game at a pizza joint in California, I could be wrong but I'm fairly certain it was back before SNES was even a thing. I just remember thinking how Amazing the entire game looked and how much more animated the characters seemed to be compared to pretty much every other arcade game let alone fighting game. We were usually kinda broke so I never really got to play it as much as I would've liked, basically I would just stand there watching the attract screen while still getting a little pumped up even though I knew I wasn't gonna be playing and the content would just be repeating shortly. The supers and specials are Awesome, the famous monster related designs are all great and even the more original looking fighters are some of the best ever. 😄👍

It created the base used and expanded by games like GG. It also created chain/free normal combos, ex moves and otg attacks (a special attack with a particular input, not just hitting anyone like in Marvel).
*I wish you could make a video with all characters' powers being deflected by HsienKo's gong like Lilith's hat, Felicia's red ball, B.B Hood's "cool hunting" special to see which one can be successfully deflected and which ones not*
I would really like to see a new game of this done in 3D or like Skullgirls style. I'm not sure which would be harder to animate all these moves in tho

It's funny because they both look the same and cost meter when activated, not sure why. That's why I wanted to double check with you since there might have been some that was left out. It's 2023, and I am MAD beyond words at crapcom for STILL neglecting Vampire: The Night Warriors franchise in favor for the overrated Street Fighters series for literally over a decade now... The Vampire series has WAY more interesting characters than that of Street Fighters, imho. With literally each cryptid fighter having a UNIQUE fighting style, superpower, AND world-building lore compared to that of Sh*t Fighters. 🙄 Literally ANY Vampire fighter would WRECK anyone on the SF roster with their cryptid superpowers. Like... what's not to love about being able to play as a mythological creature from folklore with cool-a** powers? 😑 Vampire: The Night Warriors has always struck me as a more interesting fighting game series than what we currently have now.
