I've actually moved since then and started using billies. I've also downgraded my collection a lot and I'm trying to focus what I have as a set. These videos are really great and helpful. Its hard to sometimes fix a problem you can't even see, so this works wonders. I appreciate it!

The first guy made the forest fight from ROTF a display piece, f##king love it.
All he needs to do is add some trees and maybe something that looks like grass to the ground snd it’ll look perfect.

It looks like Shrimp has two MP-44s on the shelf.
Funny, I bought the ko from showz to avoid the paint chipping issues since the most were molded in right colors, and I got a second one for free somehow lol. Turned into my sussy starscream for a bit until I gifted it off to a friend.

Transformers are the most difficult figures to display! When they're clustered together, they look like a bunch of colorful gumball machine prizes. And detolfs are only intended for 1/6 scale figures!
When collectors spend lots of money on MP figures, and display them in huge clusters.... They make their high-end collectibles look like cheap toys!
You're right, and it's really difficult to see that especially as the collector. Your get wrapped up in your own bias that you miss the forest for the trees.
Sometimes, less is more. I want to be proud of the display I have not just each figure.

First of all, just want to say thanks to everyone who submits their stuff. Like most of the folks watching, I learn what to do and not to do. Bobby and crew, you all should know that these critiques are f#@in rad. Thanks for the time it takes to do them! I think one of the major lessons I've learned from watching these is that less is more. I can't remember who said it or when, but I'm definitely picking the ones I love the most and keeping it there. I'm not the "collection completionist" kind of guy, but I believe in having strong pieces that mean something to me. Hopefully I'll have mine on here some day, but that is a ways away....
Always a good watch. I know my shelf is trash, but until I have the final space ready I'm not replacing the furniture. Do it once and do it right then. May have to send them in just for giggles tho.
The only thing I'd include about Wendell's display is that Teletraan-1 piece. I'd either look at cutting some of the backside off or put it somewhere else so poor Wheeljack isn't toeing the edge of the shelf.

Hey brawn, I would recommend that you use some kind of adhesive or fixture so that the side panels of the displays dont lean off the walls of the shelves, and paint the spine of them to match either the diorama or the shelf, i wouldnt leave them white. And if you can, i would move the wireing in the detof to the back of the case. That would really improve the display inmy opinion. Maybe try putting the detof ontop of a riser to match the height of the shelves. The detof would look better with fewer, bigger, and maybe the most expensive pieces to make it seem like the contents are higher end than the rest of the display and thats why they're behind glass. Thats why it looks a bit out of place as is. A new corner billy shelf would fix that issue if you have the space. Great work on the dioramas, takes a lot of time and creativitiy! All the best!

I like shrimp's. I don't think you need to curate the space or thin out the toys to be a legit collector. Toy onslaught is awesome to me.
The collectors are either following your advice or you've been saving the best for last.
Since I have to first clean my garage and my storage room so I can then try to fit everything inside the garage and use the storage room as my display room, I've been a bit lazy with my "man cave" but it's getting to a point (to be honest it's gotten to that point years ago) were I have so many action figures laying inside boxes that I'm not enjoying my collection as I should.
There are actually action figures and TF action figures I love that haven't been looked at since they were bought and opened for the first time and I miss looking at them. Other then that, because I don't have all my figures displayed I'm buying more figures then I should and I'm not getting rid of some I'm not going to use in my displays so I'm actually losing money and worse I'm not enjoying my collection as I should and it's becoming (in fact it's again been that way for some time now) more an addiction then a hobby and a pleasure.

P.S. I've even been postponing my review channel because I'm planning for my review stand to be included within my "man cave" and I have a big international shop waiting to finance it and a all lot of viewers (the listeners from my old radio show about geek subculture) waiting to watch and follow it.

I agree. Billies do make em look better. But i prefer detolfs to keep em safe so that in the case if the toys fall over. And plus i can keep em locked up
