I've been on the Divina 2x, I really enjoyed it both times, and agree with your assessments. It is a beauty, the food for the most part was very good and the crew was helpful and hard working. We will be on the MSC Seashore in 20 days!
Wow, I saw a cruise that was affordable on this ship, but figured it was mediocre. And I had heard the food was kinda bland. Were you refering to the good food from the add-on resturants or the included restaurants? I'm also interested in their private island. Looks a bit young and could use the foliage to fill in but the water and lagoon look nice. After seeing this video, Im more interested than ever.
When we talk about food I think we need to manage our expectations. I have never had cruise food that I thought was as good as the best land restaurants. I tell my clients to expect "banquet" quality food not five-star restaurant food. They must cook for the masses so seasoning tends to be less than my preferences. That said, we did enjoy our dining on the Divina and look forward to another cruise. The service was excellent too. But the real surprise for us was the ship itself; beautiful. You are right in saying that Ocean Cay Reserve looks young. It is still being developed. Don't let that stop you. It is a very enjoyable port of call. Most of the cruises include an overnight stay on the island so you can enjoy the lightshow, bonfires and late nights on the beach. And yes, MSC has some of the best prices out there. Have fun.

I was trying to also get your thoughts on the value of the add-on restaurants as opposed to the included meals. Usually we just do one night of upgrade restaurants. Were the photos of your food you showed in the video from the specialty restaurants or the included meals? Thanks again for your video and reply.

Sailed Divina from Rio to Miami in 2014. She was fantastic ❤❤
We loved it. We are currently on the Carnival Pride which has much of the same feel. Classic art everywhere, etc. I make a video when we get back.

Virgin Cruises has fantastic food. Their restaurants are better than most land restaurants
