He is claiming that he is insane, he will not be receiving any form of sentencing because he is being acquitted on the grounds of insanity, yes he absolutely should have received a death penalty, but he is going to be put in a mental health facility then released to kill again
This man’s actions prior to the heinous act were bizarre. He made a conscious decision and plan not to take his meds and then deleted a woman’s life! So are we at danger of others committing a crime, then claim insanity to have their conviction overturned?😟 Talk about menaces to society - both cases qualify. Remember Ted Bundy and his false persona. Horrible.

The LIPD has notoriously been troubled. Run by posibly corrupt men who at first seemed to have disdain of any woman in general, but sex workers, especially. Treating their missing cases with so much disregard that once it was brought to the general public, people were horrified. At least I know I was. If it had not been for Shannon Gilbert, and more so, her Mother, Mari, and her dogged insistence that these women deserve justice, I don’t think we would ever have gotten this far.

Prior to the 1980s, if a wife went missing all the husband had to do was say "she ran off with another man" & there was no investigation. Women didnt count.

in the second case i think that if the guilty person was not taking their prescription medication that couldve possibly prevented them going into this "insane" state that the person shouldnt get a "not guilty by reason of insanity" verdict. you consciously chose while being in your right mind( by being on your prescription medication ) chose to stop taking it knowing that a professional psychologist strongly recommended that you take it on a daily basis unless otherwise stated by that same psychologist. he knew he wasnt supposed to stop taking his medication but he did anyway. he made the decision to risk possibly undergoing a range of negative side effects including a possible psychotic episode.
If you are reading this there’s a reason……No matter how good or bad you have it,wake up each day thankful for your life.Someone somewhere else is desperately fighting for theirs ❤️🇧🇸

I also still think that he may be responsible for the other eight victims discovered on Long Island, NY, possibly the four victims found in NJ, and who knows how many others. For the victims’ families and loved ones, I really hope that they are able to link him to all of his victims’ murders so that they can receive the justice that they deserve.
Ana Garcia, the second part of this video makes my blood boil. This idoit was charged a few times and left. When will these Judges learn. They can still earn their millions, and still dish out the right punishment. One thing I can say with full confidence. If he was related to me. He wouldn't be living .
What day or yr did the police started tracing his burner phone? 33:44 When did they start following him here? Why she doesn't tell us the Date when the investigator started investigating him? Ugh...we need DATES and TIME!😣😣😫😫
The Police don’t tell us all of this information until AFTER the trial. The media ask the Police in the press conference but, they reply ‘this is an ongoing investigation and we can’t divulge that information until after the case has been prosecuted.’ Ana is extremely detailed with the important information.
I'm just listening to this podcast and I'm furious as well!! Why would a judge overturn a verdict to not guilty due to mental illness?!?! This is insane! I live in Toronto Canada and we a young man decapatated on a greyhound bus by a total stranger. It was done in plain sight of many and guess what? This man was found not guilty due to mental illness and was locked up in a mental facility...only to be release a few years later because he's now a "Good Boy" and takes his medication daily!!! This man's mother even pleaded with the judge to keep her son locked up and that he's not to be trusted. I would not trust either that some day this man too, can be out walking the streets. No rights for the victims at all. So dam sad.
WONDER WHAT the guy in the light blue shirt HEARD when they Arrested Horrorman.....the guy was walking behind RH . wouldn't it be GREAT to hear WHAT HE HEARD??
Ana Garcia, when I see these problems or hear them on the News. My blood boils. Don't these idiots in high places understand, what they are doing to the victims familikes. I am 100% sure, if this happened to their kids or grand kids. The laws would be changed. I do not understand why men in the States are so cruel to women. If the relationship is not working. Then he goes his way, and she goes her way. or a divorce would be the right thing to do. Men all over the world got to realise, that the women they are going out with or married too. Are somebody's daughter, sister or grand daughter. No man should lift his hand on a woman. I hope and pray that one day the death penalty will come in, and when it comes in. It should happen in 2 months, after the perpetrators are caught. This bullshit of mental illness should be the thing of the past, not in the present time. I never heard my grandparents arguing or fighting. They loved one another till the day they left this world. Ana Garcia if you would like to be the next President of the United States. You have my vote.
I was around when America died. I was down the street and almost went to the street because someone said it was a car crash. He definitely wasnt mentally ill, he was intentional with what he did. The fact that they think he was mentally insane and not guilty is disgusting.
The police didn't do basic investigation because the girls were sex workers. It is absolutely unacceptable to disrespect these victims by not putting in the work to figure out who murdered them. They were people w family & friends that loved them.
This is so true. That's why these creepy serial killers can get away with murdering multiple victims. Not because they are so smart or good at killing - it's because of the police mentality.
Soo let me get this straight, you can decapitate someone as long as your deemed mentally ill? Im sorry but what happened to receiving consequences for your actions? I don't give a rats ass if you're mentally unstable or not, that should NOT give you a pass to do as you please. At some point you should still be held accountable for what you did. Whether that means prison time and then the rest of your life in a mental institution. You shouldn't be allowed to be considered not guilty by reason of insanity when you clearly are guilty. Change it to GUILTY BY REASON OF INSANITY then. Her life AND DEATH basically matter less than his...
Revenge is not justice! He goes to psych facility where he is observed at least a little better than in prison where he could kill someone else. USA prisons are nasty places, short staffed and anyone can kill someone else in them. The real problem is the system in this country where access to healthcare alone is poor, and psychiatric illness diagnosis and needed treatment is nearly nonexistent. You do not have to do anything but watch the news of school shootings and mass murders. Majority of the perpetrators are mentally ill. USA has the honor to be on top of the list of hideos crimes in the world. That should make the nation to understand that something must be done. It is not enough to have someone talk about them online in order to make money.
Ana G, you made made me laugh out loud when you said you see us all with much love, lol, because your retina is heart-shaped! How adorable is that? Love you too, girl! Keep up the good work.
It's sick that he got away with this. He cut off someone's head. Multiple people saw it and are traumatized for life. The family of the victim has to replay that in their minds forever. He had a history of abuse. I don't care about the insanity. If it was Insanity how did the system let him slip thru the cracks?
So, did he stop after four or five? They should be tracking his whereabouts for all of his life. How many other women have gone missing where he’s been?
I don't get these people that have the support of family and are able to leave their abuser once just to come back to them to then be killed......like seriously how little love for yourself did you have to come back to that piece of $@$@.....he was a loser!!!
My apologies but I cannot see the relevance in placing so much emphasis on Rex Heuermann's gun collection. When i look at the entirety of what happened to the victims. They were all strangled. This is incredibly concerning... The killer didn't rely on a weapon to take the lives of those young ladies. That should make everyone incredibly fearful. Count those guns over and over and over again... And talk about them over. and over and over... It doesn't matter. He killed them with bis bare hands.
You take someones head off and then be acquitted on grounds of insanity, it should be changed to unreasonable & unjustifiable and an insane miscarriage of justice I am a lawyer and a mental health practitioner, and i still cant justify this insanity
Oh my gosh. You are voicing our frustrations. It is what we all want to hear… a person with a platform speaking for us with intelligence and information. Thank you so much. Please do not pipe down ( Australian saying heh )
So what's up with the judge, is the judge in cahoots in letting the criminal off. Hard to find them when the judge says they're guilty and then they overturned the guilty verdict with insanity doesn't smell clean
I think he got a bit to comfy an let his guard down So glad the task force was brought in the previous investigators wer pretty corrupt from wat I’ve read
I understand the community and town being fed up with media presence and coverage of the man's house being searched but it seems the local PD is fine protecting privacy of that man & wanting to make money by writing tickets to the media showing his house being searched. The people have the right to know the man is possibly dangerous and having his home raided like every other serial killer. My small town got rocked by a huge controversy but even then cops weren't writing loitering tickets to every camera man / journalist reporting on scene.
@AnaGNews wondering if you'd be willing to look into a cold case. An 11 yo girl killed in a hit and run while riding her bike home. March 24,1995. In Vesper, WI. This case has alot of twists and turns, alot of mistrust, alot of belief in coverups. Thank you.

in the second case i think that if the guilty person was not taking their prescription medication that couldve possibly prevented them going into this "insane" state that the person shouldnt get a "not guilty by reason of insanity" verdict. you consciously chose while being in your right mind( by being on your prescription medication ) chose to stop taking it knowing that a professional psychologist strongly recommended that you take it on a daily basis unless otherwise stated by that same psychologist. he knew he wasnt supposed to stop taking his medication but he did anyway. he made the decision to risk possibly undergoing a range of negative side effects including a possible psychotic episode.
That's messed up. This is why vigilatism exists.
Thank You Ana , Always Very Informative 👏❤👏. May All The Victims Rest In Peace 🙏
Thank you 🙏🏼
If you are reading this there’s a reason……No matter how good or bad you have it,wake up each day thankful for your life.Someone somewhere else is desperately fighting for theirs ❤️🇧🇸
I have to respectfully disagree. There is not always something in the past, upbringing, no support, etc. Some people are just evil!
Ana is my Idol
Ana! How dare you go on vacation lmao I have been waiting for your podcast on Rex. Hope you had beyond fun!! ... Im glad they caught him.... But oh em gee.... I do wonder if he is linked to any other cases across the states... This is insane..... And ugh America ❤❤❤❤❤
I know even on vacation I read court records - 😊
The heart-shaped retina anecdote made me realize how vital it is to end the podcast on a much-needed positive note.
Ana Garcia, the second part of this video makes my blood boil. This idoit was charged a few times and left. When will these Judges learn. They can still earn their millions, and still dish out the right punishment. One thing I can say with full confidence. If he was related to me. He wouldn't be living .
We are all so upset for America and her family
What day or yr did the police started tracing his burner phone? 33:44 When did they start following him here? Why she doesn't tell us the Date when the investigator started investigating him? Ugh...we need DATES and TIME!😣😣😫😫
The Police don’t tell us all of this information until AFTER the trial. The media ask the Police in the press conference but, they reply ‘this is an ongoing investigation and we can’t divulge that information until after the case has been prosecuted.’ Ana is extremely detailed with the important information.
Hello 👋 from North Carolina to you both 🙌☝️
I'm just listening to this podcast and I'm furious as well!!
So dam sad.
I know the story you are referring to!! Horrific!! I had no idea they let him out!!!😢
I'm surprised no one has mentioned how similar this is to the Green River Killer
WONDER WHAT the guy in the light blue shirt HEARD when they Arrested Horrorman.....the guy was walking behind RH . wouldn't it be GREAT to hear WHAT HE HEARD??
I love a good police investigation, DNA don’t lie.
I hope if Im ever incompetent at my job, other people make excuses for me too.
Schabusiness being found guilty not by insanity. Give and take? Idk 🤷🏻♀️ All so sad
True crime daily us back
I was around when America died.
Where he get machete? If had it all along would that be premeditated? I agree he should be still guilty.
I love Ana Garcia.❤
Love you, Ana!
I agree its a waste of a jury when a judge can over turn it.maybe thats y some ppl murder they think a judge will overturn it.
He should have been deported from the country after the first conviction. Don’t get this at all.
The Polics say thay His wife filed for divorce the day after he was charged as the gilgo beach killer, and They also suspect Him in over a dozen more.
Ana G, you made made me laugh out loud when you said you see us all with much love, lol, because your retina is heart-shaped! How adorable is that? Love you too, girl! Keep up the good work.
Actually, they didn’t “play a trick” on the suspect, they robbed him.
Very intelligent and insightful analysis. It is always good to delve into personality profiles, and what perceived perception has been.
It's sick that he got away with this. He cut off someone's head. Multiple people saw it and are traumatized for life. The family of the victim has to replay that in their minds forever. He had a history of abuse. I don't care about the insanity. If it was Insanity how did the system let him slip thru the cracks?
Love the way you do things Anna x❤
So, did he stop after four or five? They should be tracking his whereabouts for all of his life. How many other women have gone missing where he’s been?
He looks evil
Should these judges not go for expert valuation of their sanity on a perscribed time?
They're actually starting to use facial recognition at the NYC turnstiles
"I see you all with much love." Good way to pull it together.
You take someones head off and then be acquitted on grounds of insanity, it should be changed to unreasonable & unjustifiable and an insane miscarriage of justice I am a lawyer and a mental health practitioner, and i still cant justify this insanity
I would be SO traumatized if I saw someone decapitated 😢😢
Corrupt judges who should not be on the bench but should be investigated and removed.. They are void of true judgment.
He still doesnt get to go free. He will be institutionalized and wont get a reduction in his sentence like you might get in prison
He looks like Tucker Carlson's big brother.
I think he got a bit to comfy an let his guard down
So glad the task force was brought in the previous investigators wer pretty corrupt from wat I’ve read
Investigators
I understand the community and town being fed up with media presence and coverage of the man's house being searched but it seems the local PD is fine protecting privacy of that man & wanting to make money by writing tickets to the media showing his house being searched. The people have the right to know the man is possibly dangerous and having his home raided like every other serial killer. My small town got rocked by a huge controversy but even then cops weren't writing loitering tickets to every camera man / journalist reporting on scene.
It was also the home of his wife & children; do they deserve to have their privacy violated? Guilt by association?
He’s not even there so your point doesn’t make sense
Who's responsible for the police? high up?
Ana, I'm with you. I lived in Florida for over 40 years and still haven't been to Disney World 😂
@AnaGNews wondering if you'd be willing to look into a cold case. An 11 yo girl killed in a hit and run while riding her bike home. March 24,1995. In Vesper, WI. This case has alot of twists and turns, alot of mistrust, alot of belief in coverups. Thank you.
The killer jokes is CRAZY!!!!!! WOW!!!! Neighbors KNEW!!!! Man!!
He was not arrested in Massapequa Park. He lived there, but he was arrested outside of his office at 36th St. & 5th Avenue in Manhattan.
Yup. Sounds about right for Minnesota 🫠
I watched a movie on Netflix the other night with Rosanna arquette in about this case she played a girl called Shannon’s mum and her daughter had been murdered there also so very sad and disturbing the police didn’t really care because she was a working girl but still a persona
Don someone’s child and sister and a living breathing human being doing the best they can in life so very very sad x
What is the name of the movie?
It should be Guilty but insane. He still needs to be put away for life
Can't stand how Ana down plays the prostitute robbing Rex. "Oh she played a trick on him" ....no
Yeh that was BS. They straight up tried to rob him.
Fire🔥🔥🔥
