It is very good what you two brothers are talking about. If you love Him you will obey Him. And another healthy perspective of understanding also is that we can do nothing to earn this love. Especially for those who feel to work for His love once understanding that a changed life toward holiness should eventually be produced. This knowledge........this bring wholeness, develops children a sense of security, a desire to never grieve the Lord, it creates within the heart of a child a belonging to feel accepted. He has given life AND "immortality" .....that revelation has hardly been revealed, but it will becoming along with the powers of the age to come. Preach the cross and pray for an enabling to send forth such a tremendous revelation of that cross because there in is the power of God. I tell you if someone took a bullet right in front of me to say my life and dies right there .....I would live the rest of my life indebted. How much MORE should we live for Him !!! Amen!!! So true! This happened to me. I used to watch a lot of Dan Mohler, before I heard the full Gospel, so I could not understand nor could I fully accept it. But once I went through repentance, baptized, turn away from sin, learned more about the Gospel...then I could accept who I am in Christ. I love Dan, so I’m not talking bad about him, but rather saying I see what Torben is saying cause it happened to me.

Yes Well-Balanced in the Word of God, and living our lives out knowing the "King of Kings, Lord of Lords". The Love of God heals a broken and Contrite heart. When we humble our-selves unto the Mighty hand of God...he will lift up our hearts. And heal our sorrows and deliver us from vices. That we may draw closet to him...he is coming for a delivered church. Walking holy before God by his precious blood are sins are washed away. And we press on leaving our old ways behind. Been studying this for over 20 years and he's spot on and in line with Acts 2:38, the first Christian message after Christ's ascension. The time between Christ's ascension and this first message was not long enough for man's bias to corrupt Jesus' true message. Its very safe to go to the source every now and then.

I listen to the best grace teaching around, so when people make statements like this, I can't help but wonder if you're referring to someone I follow (which would mean you're misinformed), simply on the basis that they're self-professing grace teachers. If the men you are following aren't preaching that message -then you can feel safe and sound. Best to follow Jesus and not doctrines of men, but to beware of doctrines of devils.

You add more things to the Gospel that go beyond the Scriptures. And in many videos, when talking about the Gospel, you omit what Christ and the apostles defined as the Gospel message. I've watched the entire pioneer school sessions. A lot of sound doctrine there, but you haven't shown us in the Scriptures where Jesus or the apostles stated that the Gospel message is also repentance, water baptism, and baptism of the Holy Spirit. These are things that happen after the Gospel message is preached. These things are not the Gospel itself. The Gospel is what Jesus did. Please provide chapter and verse that shows us the concept or idea that the Gospel message is repentance, water baptism, and baptism of the Holy Spirit. It could be your limited English when you are trying to translate to English. I'm not sure why this is so difficult for people to grasp and have a clear understanding of what 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 says, Scripture itself. Are you doing this intentionally, brother? Think about your Lord Jesus and what He has done for you. Think about His greatest and glorious act of love in His death for our sins, burial, and resurrection. If someone did something to save you, wouldn't you want to tell the world exactly about it? Tell the world what Jesus did to save you. Identity is for those that have repented, believe in Jesus, died on the cross with him, carried the old man to hell and left him there. Filled with the Holy spirit, new creation, heir to the throne, many fruits, spirit filled sons renew their mind, resist the devil, and walk in their new identity. Its about relationship, Knowing our father causes desire for fleshly things to fall away. The corpse can try and resurrect but keep stomping on the grave he will quite moving. Open up a door through sin and there are consequences, Christ in you the hope of glory, the temple, we are in Christ and he is in us. resist the devil, cast out the unclean thoughts and become Christ like as we walk this thing out. All the fruits of the spirit accompany this walk, The holy spirit is a teacher and will raise us up and work on areas that need to be addressed. building the body to completion. I measure a man by how much Jesus I see in them. They need to have the full fruit package from the holy spirit and all this comes with faith and relationship. Its learning to walk in what we have been given, in the many fruits creation. Don't sell the cross short it didn't just wash us, it killed and crucified us and took us to hell which we deserved. Christ left us there and burst forth, ascended to the father and we rise with Christ.

I believe that Identity teaching has been one of the most destructive teaching to the body. Mostly it is used to convince people or affirm ones salvation while they are walking in sin. Scripture is clear, Repent and Believe the Gospel , then we are saved FROM our sin and Not IN our sin.

What truth this is , I still had some blindness to this when it first came out. I was meant to go through the wrong messages of identity and grace. Repentance is absolutely required. I hate sin, I hate demons, I hate the flesh, I am so sorry I didn't get this when it was first came out but now I have a firm foundation by going down the rabbit holes. I remember a video last reformation where you were talking to a couple of girls who had lost their identity in Christ and became transgender. And you told them they found their identify in Christ. Thanks for the video and the effort to clarify. I still think you guys are off a bit though. You guys seem to pit grace vs. the gospel when the bible says it is the gospel of the grace of God. We repent, are baptized, live holy, etc, because of our idenity, not in order to place ourselves into Christ. It's a fine but important distinction. Watchman Nee's The Normal Christian Life is very helpful here. As he says, you bury someone (baptism) because they are already, definitely dead! You don't bury someone in order to kill them. It was God's work to put me into Christ 2000 years ago, it is not MY work to put myself there now. I repent, I get baptized (agree with you on how important that is), and live holy because I truly understand what God has done for me.
Yes, Law and Gospel must be practice at all time for a born-again Christian. I totally agree that we must stay out or QUIT repetitive sin that will lead us to more sins. We must repent and STOP from sinning through Jesus Christ then you will see miracles and prayer answered. Yes, repentance and identity teaching go hand in hand. Identity teaching however is for the new creation not a self righteous unrepentant sinner. Romans and the rest of the epistles are in and of themselves and identity teaching. They are the Magna Carta of the new creation. I understand what he is saying though. Some identity teachers teach identity without real repentance and just tell people to , "invite Jesus into your heart." ect...this is wrong..
Torben as always refreshing to hear someone confront / refute easy believism which is rife churchianity of late. whats then the big fuss about? well perhaps you are scratching the surface of something much more foundational namely the belief in: freedom of the will, which leans to sinless perfectionism, versus bondage of the will (calvenism /reformed theology), which leans to imputed righteousness. identity teaching (healing teaching) in itself has no capacity to be good or bad but it depends on which root it draws from. see Jesse Morell video on imputed righteousness. I had to think of this when you were describing the potential danger of identity teaching.

Lazarus, All of scripture explains all of other scripture to the sanctified ear by the Holy Ghost. Jesus rebuked the pharisees by saying that Moses truly wrote about HIM. Maybe you need to see Moses through the New Covenant. Maybe you ought to consider the faith of Abraham as manifest in his works. Maybe you should see the true spiritual Israel of God, His church, of which every old testament prophet spoke unawares. Maybe just ask to see everything through the eyes of Jesus - you might be surprised at what gets uncovered. What is "legalism"? Is it the thought that, "you must obey Torah IN ORDER TO BE SAVED" or is legalism the thought that, "because I am saved, I love and cherish my bridegroom by obeying the Torah of YHVH"?

Because My Brother is in ICU for almost a month now and he is suffering from different kinds of maladies in his body. From diabetes, Prostate problem, Tb with bacteria that's hard to kill with antibiotic, Pneumonia, Thyroid Problem and Cancer in the Pancreas and Esophagus. Me and My sister is working right now in Canada and what we are earning right now is not enough to pay for his hospital bills. I do not believe in water baptism. I believe that when we repent we are washed/baptised by the spirit. But I am also non-Faith-Alone and non-Trinitarian so I am excluded as a heretic many times over. As far as I can tell all that is required is that you depart from evil, and that is done through faith. That is all. They had the Holy Spirit before water baptism (Acts 10;44-47) and those who have the Holy Spirit are saved. So you can be saved before water baptism. So water baptism is not required. I have prayed about this and then opened the Bible and the passage I looked at first was a passage where someone asked what they must do to be saved. Christ's answer was a list of commandments. But I can see why people believe in water baptism. There are passages which seem to teach it, like at the end of Matthew. But I can see alternative interpretations of them.
Hi. When the letters to the churches where written do you think the authors recognized that their audience was made up of people who were and were not in Christ. I have not heard people ever preach this way but if you read the Bible understanding that this could be the case it puts a different perspective on things. As we preach in Canada........ or wherever, I think we would be wrong to assume that everyone who heard us was walking with the Lord.
Can you clarify, are you saying that it is not appropriate to teach the love of God until someone has repented? I don't see the love of God changing for someone regardless of they repent or not. His loves always remains. However, I do see us only being able to receive His love when we have repented and are living a life in the Spirit (the Spirit is love, among other attributes). With that said, I do still see the value of sharing with unbelievers and wayward Christians that they are loved, but to experience this love fully one must repent. Sorry to knit pick, but TH-cam videos are like glorified text messages. They get misread or misunderstood when you aren't able to hash out the details in conversation.
Oh I have been wrestling with this myself and am still not done with it. Here are my thoughts so far from seeking the scriptures. 1) The love of God WAS shown through Christ Jesus and the cross. 2) The love of God as a Father is to His children (that requires salvation) 3) The love of Jesus of us as brethren and now family (after salvation) 4) God is not infatuated with sinners... ever. His wrath is upon them and will be carried out to the fullest on Judgment Day. (God's love is giving fallen man a choice - compared to the fallen angels who have no choice or redemption) 5) God never approves of sin, ever. God does show forbearance upon those living sinners in hopes they will chose salvation. (God loves in that he gives people a chance during their lifetime to receive the gospel) 6) God shows forbearance on his children who are sinning in hopes they will come into repentance. God will disown children who have a lifestyle of sinning without repentance. (The love is for the family - but if you take His son Jesus and everything he stood for and died for and rub that around with a sinful lifestyle - well... good luck rolling them dice in eternity.) 7) God has made everyway within our free will to keep us out of a lifestyle sin. (Torben summarizes this well - Receive the Full Gospel, Expel the Demonic, and Biblical renew the mind) So to the unbeliever - God's love is that He sent Jesus for them to make the choice to the gospel which includes repentance. To the wayward Christian - God's love is that they would repent and come back to the fullness of the family. For both the unbeliever and the believer if there is no repentance, then the gospel is not received, and when you get to the Judgment seat you will fall upon the mercy of God and who knows how that will go. Take the promised, narrow path.
The gospel Jesus was teaching was repentance and baptism which means to turn from your way of living (the god of your mind instead of the true God that created you) and turn to God and to his righteousness (Deut. 6:25), not your standard of right and wrong. Therefore we must know what to turn from and to turn to! Turn from sin and death and turn to the law of righteousness (Ten Commandments) Romans 6 read Exodus 20:1-20 or Deut. 5:1 And fear God and sin not. 20:20 1st commandment, thou shall not have any other gods before me. We have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Therefore we must all Repent of following after false gods. Repent (tell God you have sinned and broke Gods law, the Ten Commandments) and get baptized, and all your PAST sin will be washed away, you die or are dead in Christ, and raised a new man in Christ. And ask Jesus to fill you with his gift of his Holy Spirit and Baptism with fire. What happens after baptism when you fall short? Awe! The Bible tells little children (new believers) in 1 John (5) chapters. When we sin after baptism we confess our sin to our high priest Jesus, and we are washed in the blood, cleansed from sin, now we can enter the Holies of holies into the presence of our loving Heavenly Father once again. God's mercy is renewed each morning and then we can practice loving God by obeying his first (5) commandments and loving our neighbor last (5) commandments, and fulfilling the whole law = Love ❤️ Read Gods righteous law of love and repent where you have broken them. Jesus said (if) you love Me keep my commandments. John 14:15 1 John 2:3 (If) you say you love me and keep not my commandments, you are a liar and the truth is not in you. Ecclesiastes 12:13 (The conclusion when all is said and done, fear God and keep my commandments) if you fear God you will keep his commandments and if you keep his commandments you know you fear God! (2) things are important fear God (our creator) and keep his commandments. The church Jesus is returning for in Revelation 12:14 (those who keep the commandments and the testimony of Jesus) Revelation 22:14 gives us an instruction blessed are they that keep the commandments, that thy may have the right to the tree of life and enter into the gate into the city (new Jerusalem, the kingdom of God).

When you read through the book of Acts, you cannot miss, from beginning to end, the repetition of the principle of baptism in water first enunciated by Peter at Pentecost, with the baptism with the Holy Spirit. False teachers willfully omit these references, so yes, there are "church doctrines" omitting the foundation of water immersion with personal salvation. They even deny the baptism with the Holy Spirit, declaring it to be automatic with salvation. Paul, in Acts chapter 20 speaks of those "among the saved" who bring in "deviant" doctrines - deviating from true doctrine. I myself have been witness to these very teachings and even began to accept them. Bearing false witness is a sin, even from Moses, even from Eden. Bearing false witness to God's principles transcends personal transgression, because it teaches men to sin against the words of God.

Jesus assumed that those that believed would be baptized as He said he that believes and is baptized shall be saved, and He also commanded them to be baptized at the end of Matthew 28. So I hear Jesus say one thing and you say another that somehow Jesus did not really mean it that you need to be baptized. Also the Bible says "baptism doth also now save us" that does not mean baptism by itself (dunking under water) saves you but the grace of the Lord saves you through the blood of Christ through faith in the Lord Jesus and repentance from dead works to obey Christ, calling on the name of the Lord. (Read acts to see what calling on the name of the Lord means hint: obeying the Lord ie. repenting and being baptized) notice they said to the jailer he should believe in the Lord Jesus Christ to be saved, that is because he didn't yet believe in the Lord Jesus. The end result was the same that he and his household were baptized. However that does not mean that they were not forgiven for their sin as soon as they believed in the Lord Jesus and repented in their heart, but there is more to being saved than just being saved from Hell. Being saved also includes being saved from your sins (That is why Jesus came) being freed from sins bond over you. When you are baptized you are putting your faith in Christ to save you (wash away your sins!) and bury the old life. Many cannot live the new life no matter how hard they try because they have not got the whole gospel, they have been taught wrong that they can continue in sin and still be saved which the Bible says opposite in numerous places. (not that they will never sin but they are FREE not to sin not having sin rule over them anymore). They have not repented when they were baptized so it was nothing more than a physical bath. And also because of that they struggle to be baptized with the Holy Spirit as well. Romans 6 is not speaking symbolically that everyone was somehow baptized without actually having been baptized. They were all literally baptized in water on their own faith after having repented from their sins, he assumes all of them do because this is part of the gospel. acts 22:16 And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord. I used to believe this way as well that it was a figurative baptism that automatically happened when people believed. But if they really believed and understood what Jesus was commanding them to do they would have called on the name of the Lord by being baptized, washing away their sins

But no where in Scriptures does Jesus and His apostles tell us that these things are a part of the Gospel. 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 makes it clear what the message of the Gospel is. Repentance is just a word without revelation given by Holy Spirit on what it means and what happens TO the person who turns from their own way (sin born) . The Word is a living being- Jesus. When people receive the truth&grace that comes through Jesus the law is complete as a tutor to bring them to that place of truth & grace. Please see the difference between a repentant 'heart' and a repentant word spoken. It seems that your personal experience is the basis for this 'teaching' about 'identity'. What does a person do to choose to be a sinner?! Everyone is BORN into sin through no choice of their own, BUT they can be set free through the KNOWLEDGE that Jesus IS the Son of God and was sinless and showed us the way and after he was crucified for our sins. We were also crucified when we admit and KNOW that we can be BORN again through Jesus's sacrifice and therefore free from our sin nature. Being free from sin is a fact not a function of my actions. Otherwise no one, I repeat no one will make it through life without 'sinning' again afterthey come to faith. my holiness is based on Jesus not my PERFECTION. Of course when a christian sins they SUFFER the consequences, which may include separation from others in their relationships, but NEVER from Father .imo -blessings.

Throughout the video i didn't hear many scriptures, actually only 2. The rest was just "i think", or "i believe", or even "the bible says this" without referring to scripture. But let me just put salvation in a nutshell: We are all sinners. Romans 3:23. Sin brings death (death in the bible can refer to hell, and then there is the second death the eternal lake of fire) Romans 6:23, 1 Corinthians 6:9-10. But some think they are good person! But Jesus said in Mark chapter 2:17, that he didn't come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. And Paul said in 1 Timothy 1:15, that Jesus died for sinners, of whom Paul was chief. So first step is to realize and admit, we have sinned against God! Then, we have to believe that Jesus Christ shed his blood on the cross, for us, and that he took our punishment for sin, to purchase us to God. Isaiah 53:5 says "But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed." We have to believe in that for Ephesians 2:8-9 says, "8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast." There is no work we can do, to save ourselves. When we believe Jesus died for our sins, we have to call upon his name, because Romans 10:9-10 and 13 says "9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." and "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Repentance is to come to Jesus in a broken state, realizing you've sinned, like the prison keeper in Acts 16:27-31, and calling on Jesus Christ. Jesus said in Matthew 11:28 "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." How do you come to Jesus? In prayer of repentance. Not a special prayer, but repentance towards God. The whole faith and repentance tied together, we see in Acts 20:21 which says "Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ." What then when we're saved? Shall we then continue in sin? 2 Corinthians 5:17 says "17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." Our attitude towards sin will change! When i personally got saved, i was shocked when i swore with my mouth, and i plead the Lord for forgiveness each time. Slowly in time, i got control of my tongue. Romans chapter 7, Paul talks about him having struggle with sin. So there will be struggle with sin, but our attitude towards it will change. We have to start living what Jesus wants us to live. Romans 6:1-2 says "What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?" We are not to be "sinlessly perfect" or "keep the law to stay saved", because we are sealed by the Holy Spirit when he comes into us. Ephesians 1:13. But then what about baptism? In the dispensation, between John the baptist, and Jesus death burial and resurrection, we read in Matthew 16:16, that "He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned." But there is two baptisms: John's, and Jesus. John baptized with water, but Jesus baptizes with the Holy Spirit. We read that in Matthew 3:11"I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:" Romans 6:4, it says "Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life." So baptism is a symbolic action, of repentance however, it doesn't cleanse you but it explains it perfectly in 1 Peter 3:21 "The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:" Therefore we can say baptism is a confirmation, of our salvation. Jesus can baptize you with the Holy Ghost, that's why we read about the apostles praying, for people to receive the Holy Ghost. Acts 8:15-17 So just a bit doctrinal teachings there, also the good news, of being saved. Hope this helps some of you. Hi! 2nd to last paragraph of your presentation. In Acts 19, there are THREE baptisms. Paul re-states John's baptism is to repentance, for Israel. Then he baptises the 12 men in Jesus' name (as " the ONE who should come,") then the Holy Spirit baptises them himself with evidence of tongues. Right? Three.

This knowledge........this bring wholeness, develops children a sense of security, a desire to never grieve the Lord, it creates within the heart of a child a belonging to feel accepted. I ask you how many truly see His sacrifice, let alone believe He resurrected? He has given life AND "immortality" .....that revelation has hardly been revealed, but it will becoming along with the powers of the age to come.
Preach the cross and pray for an enabling to send forth such a tremendous revelation of that cross because there in is the power of God. I tell you if someone took a bullet right in front of me to say my life and dies right there .....I would live the rest of my life indebted. How much MORE should we live for Him !!! Preach that cross.............❤️ make disciples, but preach that cross for it is the power. I think this generation is so blinded because those who even believe don't get it. He was the precious lamb of God and gladly laid it down. What a sacrifice..... It is what He did because He loved us so much that should forever be the focus on this truth. If people really believed then many of these concerns would correct themselves. They don't, maybe mentally, but not deep within their hearts. Amen!!! So true! This happened to me. I used to watch a lot of Dan Mohler, before I heard the full Gospel, so I could not understand nor could I fully accept it. But once I went through repentance, baptized, turn away from sin, learned more about the Gospel...then I could accept who I am in Christ. I love Dan, so I’m not talking bad about him, but rather saying I see what Torben is saying cause it happened to me.

Yes Well-Balanced in the Word of God, and living our lives out knowing the "King of Kings, Lord of Lords". The Love of God heals a broken and Contrite heart. When we humble our-selves unto the Mighty hand of God...he will lift up our hearts. And heal our sorrows and deliver us from vices. That we may draw closet to him...he is coming for a delivered church. Walking holy before God by his precious blood are sins are washed away. And we press on leaving our old ways behind. Been studying this for over 20 years and he's spot on and in line with Acts 2:38, the first Christian message after Christ's ascension. The time between Christ's ascension and this first message was not long enough for man's bias to corrupt Jesus' true message. Its very safe to go to the source every now and then.

If the men you are following aren't preaching that message -then you can feel safe and sound. Best to follow Jesus and not doctrines of men, but to beware of doctrines of devils.

Brother Torben, you have a lot of good teachings because you show us where it is in the Scriptures and explain it, but one area you have caused confusion for the lost and believers is around the Gospel of Jesus Christ. You add more things to the Gospel that go beyond the Scriptures. And in many videos, when talking about the Gospel, you omit what Christ and the apostles defined as the Gospel message.
I've watched the entire pioneer school sessions. A lot of sound doctrine there, but you haven't shown us in the Scriptures where Jesus or the apostles stated that the Gospel message is also repentance, water baptism, and baptism of the Holy Spirit. These are things that happen after the Gospel message is preached. These things are not the Gospel itself. The Gospel is what Jesus did. Please provide chapter and verse that shows us the concept or idea that the Gospel message is repentance, water baptism, and baptism of the Holy Spirit.
It could be your limited English when you are trying to translate to English. I'm not sure why this is so difficult for people to grasp and have a clear understanding of what 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 says, Scripture itself.
Are you doing this intentionally, brother? Think about your Lord Jesus and what He has done for you. Think about His greatest and glorious act of love in His death for our sins, burial, and resurrection. If someone did something to save you, wouldn't you want to tell the world exactly about it? Tell the world what Jesus did to save you.
Repentance, faith, water baptism, and asking for the baptism of the Holy Spirit are our response to the Gospel, not the Gospel itself.

Identity is for those that have repented, believe in Jesus, died on the cross with him, carried the old man to hell and left him there. Filled with the Holy spirit, new creation, heir to the throne, many fruits, spirit filled sons renew their mind, resist the devil, and walk in their new identity. Its about relationship, Knowing our father causes desire for fleshly things to fall away. The corpse can try and resurrect but keep stomping on the grave he will quite moving. All the fruits of the spirit accompany this walk, The holy spirit is a teacher and will raise us up and work on areas that need to be addressed. building the body to completion. I measure a man by how much Jesus I see in them. They need to have the full fruit package from the holy spirit and all this comes with faith and relationship. Its learning to walk in what we have been given, in the many fruits creation. Don't sell the cross short it didn't just wash us, it killed and crucified us and took us to hell which we deserved. Christ left us there and burst forth, ascended to the father and we rise with Christ.

I believe that Identity teaching has been one of the most destructive teaching to the body. Mostly it is used to convince people or affirm ones salvation while they are walking in sin. Scripture is clear, Repent and Believe the Gospel , then we are saved FROM our sin and Not IN our sin.

What truth this is , I still had some blindness to this when it first came out. I was meant to go through the wrong messages of identity and grace. Repentance is absolutely required.

Thanks for the video and the effort to clarify. I still think you guys are off a bit though. You guys seem to pit grace vs. the gospel when the bible says it is the gospel of the grace of God. We repent, are baptized, live holy, etc, because of our idenity, not in order to place ourselves into Christ. It's a fine but important distinction. Watchman Nee's The Normal Christian Life is very helpful here. As he says, you bury someone (baptism) because they are already, definitely dead! You don't bury someone in order to kill them. It was God's work to put me into Christ 2000 years ago, it is not MY work to put myself there now. I repent, I get baptized (agree with you on how important that is), and live holy because I truly understand what God has done for me.

Yes, repentance and identity teaching go hand in hand. Identity teaching however is for the new creation not a self righteous unrepentant sinner. Romans and the rest of the epistles are in and of themselves and identity teaching. They are the Magna Carta of the new creation. I understand what he is saying though. Some identity teachers teach identity without real repentance and just tell people to , "invite Jesus into your heart." ect...this is wrong..

I do not believe in water baptism. I believe that when we repent we are washed/baptised by the spirit. But I am also non-Faith-Alone and non-Trinitarian so I am excluded as a heretic many times over. As far as I can tell all that is required is that you depart from evil, and that is done through faith. That is all. They had the Holy Spirit before water baptism (Acts 10;44-47) and those who have the Holy Spirit are saved. So you can be saved before water baptism. So water baptism is not required. I have prayed about this and then opened the Bible and the passage I looked at first was a passage where someone asked what they must do to be saved. Christ's answer was a list of commandments. But I can see why people believe in water baptism. There are passages which seem to teach it, like at the end of Matthew. But I can see alternative interpretations of them.
Hi. When the letters to the churches where written do you think the authors recognized that their audience was made up of people who were and were not in Christ. I have not heard people ever preach this way but if you read the Bible understanding that this could be the case it puts a different perspective on things. As we preach in Canada........ or wherever, I think we would be wrong to assume that everyone who heard us was walking with the Lord.
So identity teaching is bad or good.

Can you clarify, are you saying that it is not appropriate to teach the love of God until someone has repented?
I don't see the love of God changing for someone regardless of they repent or not. His loves always remains. However, I do see us only being able to receive His love when we have repented and are living a life in the Spirit (the Spirit is love, among other attributes). With that said, I do still see the value of sharing with unbelievers and wayward Christians that they are loved, but to experience this love fully one must repent.

Oh I have been wrestling with this myself and am still not done with it. Here are my thoughts so far from seeking the scriptures.
1) The love of God WAS shown through Christ Jesus and the cross.
2) The love of God as a Father is to His children (that requires salvation)
3) The love of Jesus of us as brethren and now family (after salvation)
4) God is not infatuated with sinners... ever. His wrath is upon them and will be carried out to the fullest on Judgment Day. (God's love is giving fallen man a choice - compared to the fallen angels who have no choice or redemption)
5) God never approves of sin, ever. God does show forbearance upon those living sinners in hopes they will chose salvation. (God loves in that he gives people a chance during their lifetime to receive the gospel)
6) God shows forbearance on his children who are sinning in hopes they will come into repentance. God will disown children who have a lifestyle of sinning without repentance. (The love is for the family - but if you take His son Jesus and everything he stood for and died for and rub that around with a sinful lifestyle - well... good luck rolling them dice in eternity.)
7) God has made everyway within our free will to keep us out of a lifestyle sin. (Torben summarizes this well - Receive the Full Gospel, Expel the Demonic, and Biblical renew the mind)
So to the unbeliever - God's love is that He sent Jesus for them to make the choice to the gospel which includes repentance.
To the wayward Christian - God's love is that they would repent and come back to the fullness of the family.
For both the unbeliever and the believer if there is no repentance, then the gospel is not received, and when you get to the Judgment seat you will fall upon the mercy of God and who knows how that will go. Take the promised, narrow path.
The gospel Jesus was teaching was repentance and baptism which means to turn from your way of living (the god of your mind instead of the true God that created you) and turn to God and to his righteousness (Deut. 6:25), not your standard of right and wrong. Therefore we must know what to turn from and to turn to!
Turn from sin and death and turn to the law of righteousness (Ten Commandments) Romans 6 read Exodus 20:1-20 or Deut. 5:1 And fear God and sin not. 20:20
1st commandment, thou shall not have any other gods before me. We have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Therefore we must all Repent of following after false gods. Repent (tell God you have sinned and broke Gods law, the Ten Commandments) and get baptized, and all your PAST sin will be washed away, you die or are dead in Christ, and raised a new man in Christ. And ask Jesus to fill you with his gift of his Holy Spirit and Baptism with fire.
What happens after baptism when you fall short? Awe! The Bible tells little children (new believers) in 1 John (5) chapters.
When we sin after baptism we confess our sin to our high priest Jesus, and we are washed in the blood, cleansed from sin, now we can enter the Holies of holies into the presence of our loving Heavenly Father once again.
God's mercy is renewed each morning and then we can practice loving God by obeying his first (5) commandments and loving our neighbor last (5) commandments, and fulfilling the whole law = Love ❤️ Read Gods righteous law of love and repent where you have broken them.
Jesus said (if) you love Me keep my commandments. John 14:15
1 John 2:3 (If) you say you love me and keep not my commandments, you are a liar and the truth is not in you.
Ecclesiastes 12:13 (The conclusion when all is said and done, fear God and keep my commandments) if you fear God you will keep his commandments and if you keep his commandments you know you fear God! (2) things are important fear God (our creator) and keep his commandments.
The church Jesus is returning for in Revelation 12:14 (those who keep the commandments and the testimony of Jesus)
Revelation 22:14 gives us an instruction blessed are they that keep the commandments, that thy may have the right to the tree of life and enter into the gate into the city (new Jerusalem, the kingdom of God).
Do you not think this public "warning" about God's servants is hurting the heart of God???? Lift each other up!!! Division and Territorial thinking is not from God!! When you read through the book of Acts, you cannot miss, from beginning to end, the repetition of the principle of baptism in water first enunciated by Peter at Pentecost, with the baptism with the Holy Spirit. False teachers willfully omit these references, so yes, there are "church doctrines" omitting the foundation of water immersion with personal salvation. They even deny the baptism with the Holy Spirit, declaring it to be automatic with salvation. Paul, in Acts chapter 20 speaks of those "among the saved" who bring in "deviant" doctrines - deviating from true doctrine. I myself have been witness to these very teachings and even began to accept them. Bearing false witness is a sin, even from Moses, even from Eden. Bearing false witness to God's principles transcends personal transgression, because it teaches men to sin against the words of God.

Jesus assumed that those that believed would be baptized as He said he that believes and is baptized shall be saved, and He also commanded them to be baptized at the end of Matthew 28. So I hear Jesus say one thing and you say another that somehow Jesus did not really mean it that you need to be baptized.
Also the Bible says "baptism doth also now save us" that does not mean baptism by itself (dunking under water) saves you but the grace of the Lord saves you through the blood of Christ through faith in the Lord Jesus and repentance from dead works to obey Christ, calling on the name of the Lord. (Read acts to see what calling on the name of the Lord means hint: obeying the Lord ie. repenting and being baptized) notice they said to the jailer he should believe in the Lord Jesus Christ to be saved, that is because he didn't yet believe in the Lord Jesus. The end result was the same that he and his household were baptized.
However that does not mean that they were not forgiven for their sin as soon as they believed in the Lord Jesus and repented in their heart, but there is more to being saved than just being saved from Hell. Being saved also includes being saved from your sins (That is why Jesus came) being freed from sins bond over you. When you are baptized you are putting your faith in Christ to save you (wash away your sins!) and bury the old life. Many cannot live the new life no matter how hard they try because they have not got the whole gospel, they have been taught wrong that they can continue in sin and still be saved which the Bible says opposite in numerous places. (not that they will never sin but they are FREE not to sin not having sin rule over them anymore). They have not repented when they were baptized so it was nothing more than a physical bath. And also because of that they struggle to be baptized with the Holy Spirit as well.
Romans 6 is not speaking symbolically that everyone was somehow baptized without actually having been baptized. They were all literally baptized in water on their own faith after having repented from their sins, he assumes all of them do because this is part of the gospel.
acts 22:16 And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.
I used to believe this way as well that it was a figurative baptism that automatically happened when people believed.
But if they really believed and understood what Jesus was commanding them to do they would have called on the name of the Lord by being baptized, washing away their sins

Yes, we do see the patterns of repentance, water baptism, and being baptized with the Holy Spirit through the NT. But no where in Scriptures does Jesus and His apostles tell us that these things are a part of the Gospel.
1 Corinthians 15:1-4 makes it clear what the message of the Gospel is.
Preach the Gospel, and then command people to repent, believe, be baptized with water and the Holy Spirit.

Why does he say desire the gifts if everyone must speak in tongues? Also if you can clearly show me from Bible where says one must speak in tongues thank you

Repentance is just a word without revelation given by Holy Spirit on what it means and what happens TO the person who turns from their own way (sin born) . The Word is a living being- Jesus. When people receive the truth&grace that comes through Jesus the law is complete as a tutor to bring them to that place of truth & grace. Please see the difference between a repentant 'heart' and a repentant word spoken. It seems that your personal experience is the basis for this 'teaching' about 'identity'. What does a person do to choose to be a sinner?! Everyone is BORN into sin through no choice of their own, BUT they can be set free through the KNOWLEDGE that Jesus IS the Son of God and was sinless and showed us the way and after he was crucified for our sins. We were also crucified when we admit and KNOW that we can be BORN again through Jesus's sacrifice and therefore free from our sin nature. Being free from sin is a fact not a function of my actions. Otherwise no one, I repeat no one will make it through life without 'sinning' again afterthey come to faith. my holiness is based on Jesus not my PERFECTION. Of course when a christian sins they SUFFER the consequences, which may include separation from others in their relationships, but NEVER from Father .imo -blessings.

Throughout the video i didn't hear many scriptures, actually only 2. The rest was just "i think", or "i believe", or even "the bible says this" without referring to scripture. But let me just put salvation in a nutshell:
We are all sinners. Romans 3:23. Sin brings death (death in the bible can refer to hell, and then there is the second death the eternal lake of fire) Romans 6:23, 1 Corinthians 6:9-10. But some think they are good person! But Jesus said in Mark chapter 2:17, that he didn't come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. And Paul said in 1 Timothy 1:15, that Jesus died for sinners, of whom Paul was chief. So first step is to realize and admit, we have sinned against God!
Then, we have to believe that Jesus Christ shed his blood on the cross, for us, and that he took our punishment for sin, to purchase us to God. Isaiah 53:5 says "But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed." We have to believe in that for Ephesians 2:8-9 says, "8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast." There is no work we can do, to save ourselves.
When we believe Jesus died for our sins, we have to call upon his name, because Romans 10:9-10 and 13 says "9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." and "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Repentance is to come to Jesus in a broken state, realizing you've sinned, like the prison keeper in Acts 16:27-31, and calling on Jesus Christ. Jesus said in Matthew 11:28 "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." How do you come to Jesus? In prayer of repentance. Not a special prayer, but repentance towards God. The whole faith and repentance tied together, we see in Acts 20:21 which says "Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ."
What then when we're saved? Shall we then continue in sin? 2 Corinthians 5:17 says "17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." Our attitude towards sin will change! When i personally got saved, i was shocked when i swore with my mouth, and i plead the Lord for forgiveness each time. Slowly in time, i got control of my tongue. Romans chapter 7, Paul talks about him having struggle with sin. So there will be struggle with sin, but our attitude towards it will change. We have to start living what Jesus wants us to live. Romans 6:1-2 says "What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?" We are not to be "sinlessly perfect" or "keep the law to stay saved", because we are sealed by the Holy Spirit when he comes into us. Ephesians 1:13.
But then what about baptism? In the dispensation, between John the baptist, and Jesus death burial and resurrection, we read in Matthew 16:16, that "He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned." But there is two baptisms: John's, and Jesus. John baptized with water, but Jesus baptizes with the Holy Spirit. We read that in Matthew 3:11"I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:" Romans 6:4, it says "Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life." So baptism is a symbolic action, of repentance however, it doesn't cleanse you but it explains it perfectly in 1 Peter 3:21 "The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:" Therefore we can say baptism is a confirmation, of our salvation. Jesus can baptize you with the Holy Ghost, that's why we read about the apostles praying, for people to receive the Holy Ghost. Acts 8:15-17
So just a bit doctrinal teachings there, also the good news, of being saved. Hope this helps some of you. The scriptures is from the king james bible, which is based on manuscripts from antiochia which was the first church, to be called christians, going back for thousands of years
Hi! 2nd to last paragraph of your presentation. In Acts 19, there are THREE baptisms. Paul re-states John's baptism is to repentance, for Israel. Then he baptises the 12 men in Jesus' name (as " the ONE who should come,") then the Holy Spirit baptises them himself with evidence of tongues. Right? Three.
