Oh I hate it. I hate helping people. No, I like it actually but I don't want to be used, I don't want to be a doormat anymore, I've been my whole life and no one is thankful. I'm just torn inside. I want to know who I am and to take care of myself first. The whole idea of giving myself for others is really scary, because from my experience, NO ONE is grateful when you help them. Yes people are more into their image and ego- self, and if you help them they just keep wanting more. You need some wise counsel from wise older people. I can understand since I have the sun and mars in the 12th house. I still help people but I find that those who are verbalizing their need are usually the ones that know they can "cry loud" enough to get whatever they want and use people. Look for those who may need you that are themselves innocent, do not be the one to let them depend on you though.

Wow I'm 12th house and what you said about my relationship to my father is pretty close to my own experience. My father was there physically but spiritually and emotionally he's always been distant and absent from my life. Lack of self confidence and feeling loss was what I felt as a teen. I still feel but I'm in my 30's and starting to regain my sense of self.

Ok so, I have cancer sun AND cancer moon in my 12 house. As it is, cancer is already a very introverted, emotionally labile sign ruled by the moon. Combined with the secretive, psychic, generous characteristics of the 12th house - this can be very hard to manage. For me personally it’s hard to manage because as a Cancer I’m naturally very giving and motherly and the 12th house is a house of charity and caring. For what it’s worth- I’m a nurse. I give back to the community everyday by taking care of sick people. It feels rewarding but the downside of my 12th house, with my moon and sun in cancer leaves me very empathetic. Sometimes crippling empathy is what I deal with after taking care of others and absorbing their energy. I need days and time to myself where sometimes I don’t even get out of bed. im cancer sun 12 leo rising too. very very similar. the days in bed part. and everyone in my family judges me for it. cancer in the 12 can mean family can be a source that drains you. im going through a saturn opposition now... it began in capricorn about 2 years ago, is right across from my ascendant now and will continue through my 7th house which means opposite my ascendant for at least 2 years or so. im starting to think this has all compounded why i feel so muted right now. i try to remember that even though im a cancer 12h, before my saturn return in 2015-2017, i was actually quite more social and lively and traveling etc. right now my health has really been impacted and i think its saturn conjunction pluto on jan 12 more so than the 12th house stuff (though i have neptune in 6 which has been a problem for many years too). but im always like.. my health and energy levels werent ALWAYS as bad as they are now and i did more stuff in the world in the past. maybe it will let up once saturn moves into pisces which is trine to my solar sign. so this will have been about 8 years of hard saturn aspects lol if i count from 2015 til 2023, rough, but maybe there will be a break in a few years.

I think I have a strong connection with the invisible world. I often dream of death and dead people who I don't know. Empathic Lady I guess I can blame being used and neglected by others on my planets in the 12th house. I learned no matter how much I try to be myself, I still feel insecure, but I try really hard not to show it. I also feel like what I say is never really heard, and I have to try super hard to make myself heard by others, even though I'm not a quiet person, I think people just ignore what I say. I relate heavily to all the above in the 11th but I can also feel disconnected to some of the 11th house interpretations. However, when I listen to the 12th house video for all the above I realize where those parts of the 11th house interpretation seems to not be as strong. It signals my fears big time! I lost my father figure when I was 27. I couldn't accept that. Horrible tragedy and I couldn't figure out what to do with my life. I still figure out what should I do. I know what is my life purpose but I don't know how to get there. I moved to different country when I was 30 and 2 years later I moved to different continent. I am cancer very close to my family, but feel very separated from them because of the distance and unhappy because of that. I was always very introverted but really enjoyed being around the people and helping them. Unfortunately I feel like they used me most of the time. I have psychic abilities, premonition dreams, feel everything and everyone around me. It makes me exhausted and I need escape from their energy because it drains me a lot. Spending time alone in nature and listening to the music heals me inside. I need a lot of time to sleep to energize myself like 10- 12 hours is normal for me. I use a mixture of whole sign house and campanus house system which is older than placidus house system which other websites use. When a planet is in the same sign as a house cusps, even if the planet is before the house cusp it affects it as being in the houses: because everything in the same sign acts as being in one room. The signs give the energetic grid(like a spirders web) everything on that web will feel when sth moves
Wow... Everyone's story just so similar. Here's mine: I grew up without a presence of a father, I have been bullied at school and even by my flatmates later on. This is probably why I kept ending up at home (Cancer sun, asc!) I was never sure what I wanted. I ended up studying Linguistics and I enjoyed it (Mercury in the asc), even though I dropped my education twice and went back on. I've been extremely social and I was somehow aware that I was constantly seeking approval from people around me. My friends didn't drain me, I loved them. But whenever I worked (Always short term. Moon in the sixth house, no surprise) I died every evening. Now I'm 25 and eclipses are hitting hard. Interestingly, I have always been into astrology but calculations by far showed my Sun in the first house. And by far I denied that all those things that I'd been through didn't effect me that much. Geez. Most people say in the comments they realized everything at 30. I just hope that my early realization doesn't leave me with only the shitty truths for another five years.

That's not to say I am not friendly, I do love helping people - finding out whats wrong, breaking it down and fixing it for them (sun and rising both in virgo) - but I did have problems first with drugs as a teenager, and then with drinking in my early twenties...anything to feel different. I have the Sun at the cusp of 12 as the ruler of 12 and in addition Neptune as the ruler of 7 at the cusp of 4 in conjunction with the moon. This makes it easy for me to get along with almost everybody but it's also impossible for me to differ from my own feelings or those of the others and I'm like an (tele)empathic emotional sponge. In consequence, I'm a kind of pragmatic esoteric person, making no difference between me and the outside/remote world. It's all one for me and I consider everything outside my own personality/body as projections of my inside and vice versa.
Hi Lada, this is a very accurate description of Sun in the 12th House. Libra is my Sun sign and have scorpio rising in my 1st house. Moon in Taurus in the 7th house and venus, mercury and saturn also all in scorpio in the 1st house. I feel that the only positive aspect I have is my Moon in Taurus. I can agree with most of what is described. However, I've learned that it is worth giving only if I love myself and I am balanced, then I can give help or service. Many have sensed that there is an natural instinct to assist thru counseling others where I see a larger picture of their aspirations and tendencies. I know that I can't help anyone if I am drained or uncentered. I do meditate, and love living alone peacefully with my animals.
i find this to be very true, and like another commentator suggested- i am in a counseling profession and have always imagined myself assisting others. however it is a delicate balance for me and can make my job somewhat difficult as i find myself drained if i've seen too many people. i am at my best when i've been able to pursue my interests such as yoga and spiritual reading, and tend to be withdrawn from the world in my own personal time in order to recharge for the next day. all very true ty!

I feel it is very true for me, my self esteem was very low in my younger years. I even took Martial Arts for over 5 years and would cry during sparring so I quick doing sparring but I excelled in form and my flexibility and high kicks got me further. I just cannot stand violence! My father is wonderful to me, though he is a workaholic so he was not there much for me and my brothers. I am a daddy's girl though I have to say. lol. Now that I am over 30 I feel way more confident about myself, with the help of my wonderful Austrian boyfriend (I live in a foreign country now!). Oh I hate it. I hate helping people. No, I like it actually but I don't want to be used, I don't want to be a doormat anymore, I've been my whole life and no one is thankful. I'm just torn inside. I want to know who I am and to take care of myself first. The whole idea of giving myself for others is really scary, because from my experience, NO ONE is grateful when you help them. They keep coming for more and more and then screw it. :( I'm very confused and sad by this, because it's actually uplifting to help people but not very much, either way it's just too exhausting and actually damaging and contributing to feeling lonely and misunderstood and used. :(

Yes people are more into their image and ego- self, and if you help them they just keep wanting more. You need some wise counsel from wise older people. I can understand since I have the sun and mars in the 12th house. I still help people but I find that those who are verbalizing their need are usually the ones that know they can "cry loud" enough to get whatever they want and use people. Look for those who may need you that are themselves innocent, do not be the one to let them depend on you though.

My sun is in the 12th house. From ages 18-28 I felt very unsure of what to do with myself. Nothing I did seemed to make a difference no matter what I did. I didn't know what I wanted to do for a career, I quit going to school because of this. Right before my 28th birthday it was like the universe spoke to me, and I decided to go back to school. I'm currently in a health care program in school. My father was not very present in my life, but I didn't really have a problem with that growing up. I've always been very intuitive to people and how they are feeling/alterior motives regardless of any front they might put on. I've always had very vivid dreams sometimes telling the future, and I expereince a lot of deja vu. When I turned 30 my whole world seemed to transform. I felt it happening on the week the a full moon. All though I don't religiously follow the astrological patters, I could feel myself beind drawn to the moon's energy. That prompted me to look up where the moon was; the moon was in Virgo and it all made sense to me why I was feeling such a magnetic pull to the moon. My sun, moon and mercury sign. The night the of the full moon I felt like I had literally shed an old skin and the "new" me had emerged. So much negativity and baggage I had been holding on to came off with it, and I felt like my true self. It was amazing.

Wow I'm 12th house and what you said about my relationship to my father is pretty close to my own experience. My father was there physically but spiritually and emotionally he's always been distant and absent from my life. Lack of self confidence and feeling loss was what I felt as a teen. I still feel but I'm in my 30's and starting to regain my sense of self.
I have sun in the 12th house and it was pretty accurate.. my father was quite absent when it comes to educating me as he was at work most of the time, (but he still provided me with everything i wanted and was there when i needed him). Ok so, I have cancer sun AND cancer moon in my 12 house. As it is, cancer is already a very introverted, emotionally labile sign ruled by the moon. Combined with the secretive, psychic, generous characteristics of the 12th house - this can be very hard to manage. For me personally it’s hard to manage because as a Cancer I’m naturally very giving and motherly and the 12th house is a house of charity and caring. For what it’s worth- I’m a nurse. I give back to the community everyday by taking care of sick people. It feels rewarding but the downside of my 12th house, with my moon and sun in cancer leaves me very empathetic. Sometimes crippling empathy is what I deal with after taking care of others and absorbing their energy. I need days and time to myself where sometimes I don’t even get out of bed. And I hide it well because I’m a Leo rising... growing up I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life. I have a mercury in Gemini. im cancer sun 12 leo rising too. very very similar. the days in bed part. and everyone in my family judges me for it. cancer in the 12 can mean family can be a source that drains you. im going through a saturn opposition now... it began in capricorn about 2 years ago, is right across from my ascendant now and will continue through my 7th house which means opposite my ascendant for at least 2 years or so. im starting to think this has all compounded why i feel so muted right now. i try to remember that even though im a cancer 12h, before my saturn return in 2015-2017, i was actually quite more social and lively and traveling etc. right now my health has really been impacted and i think its saturn conjunction pluto on jan 12 more so than the 12th house stuff (though i have neptune in 6 which has been a problem for many years too). but im always like.. my health and energy levels werent ALWAYS as bad as they are now and i did more stuff in the world in the past. maybe it will let up once saturn moves into pisces which is trine to my solar sign. so this will have been about 8 years of hard saturn aspects lol if i count from 2015 til 2023, rough, but maybe there will be a break in a few years.

I think I have a strong connection with the invisible world. I often dream of death and dead people who I don't know. Empathic Lady I guess I can blame being used and neglected by others on my planets in the 12th house. I learned no matter how much I try to be myself, I still feel insecure, but I try really hard not to show it. I also feel like what I say is never really heard, and I have to try super hard to make myself heard by others, even though I'm not a quiet person, I think people just ignore what I say. I relate heavily to all the above in the 11th but I can also feel disconnected to some of the 11th house interpretations. However, when I listen to the 12th house video for all the above I realize where those parts of the 11th house interpretation seems to not be as strong. It signals my fears big time! I lost my father figure when I was 27. I couldn't accept that. Horrible tragedy and I couldn't figure out what to do with my life. I still figure out what should I do. I know what is my life purpose but I don't know how to get there. I moved to different country when I was 30 and 2 years later I moved to different continent. I am cancer very close to my family, but feel very separated from them because of the distance and unhappy because of that. I was always very introverted but really enjoyed being around the people and helping them. Unfortunately I feel like they used me most of the time. I have psychic abilities, premonition dreams, feel everything and everyone around me. It makes me exhausted and I need escape from their energy because it drains me a lot. Spending time alone in nature and listening to the music heals me inside. I need a lot of time to sleep to energize myself like 10- 12 hours is normal for me. I wish I could sleep less to have more time to do other staff but I know if I don't do this I won't be able to function normally another day. I know that this placement is very karmic relationship and sometimes I have no power or influence on anything. I feel like my life is one big learning lesson.

Hi check the degrees if the 1st and 12th house cusps and see which 9ne the sun is closer to. But it is 8n the sign of the ascendant so it will act more like 1st house than 12th
I use a mixture of whole sign house and campanus house system which is older than placidus house system which other websites use. When a planet is in the same sign as a house cusps, even if the planet is before the house cusp it affects it as being in the houses: because everything in the same sign acts as being in one room. The signs give the energetic grid(like a spirders web) everything on that web will feel when sth moves

I grew up without a presence of a father, I have been bullied at school and even by my flatmates later on. This is probably why I kept ending up at home (Cancer sun, asc!)
I was never sure what I wanted. I ended up studying Linguistics and I enjoyed it (Mercury in the asc), even though I dropped my education twice and went back on.
I've been extremely social and I was somehow aware that I was constantly seeking approval from people around me. My friends didn't drain me, I loved them. But whenever I worked (Always short term. Moon in the sixth house, no surprise) I died every evening.
Now I'm 25 and eclipses are hitting hard. Interestingly, I have always been into astrology but calculations by far showed my Sun in the first house. And by far I denied that all those things that I'd been through didn't effect me that much.

Lada, I know a current famous singer in my country (born 22sept 1977 @ 7am) having Sun in 12th + Libra rising. Her music didnt have a specific direction & great achievement before 32 yrs old tho she got great voice and begun her predominant debut at age of 16. She admits that she feels like she turns to be someone completely different when on stage (spiritual energy), also talented n got prizes for acting n dancing. She marries a Dutch man and often travels to sing in many places away from home.
I have the sun in the 12th house and the moon in the 8th house, so I suppose I was right to say I am a very secretive person! That's not to say I am not friendly, I do love helping people - finding out whats wrong, breaking it down and fixing it for them (sun and rising both in virgo) - but I did have problems first with drugs as a teenager, and then with drinking in my early twenties...anything to feel different. I have the Sun at the cusp of 12 as the ruler of 12 and in addition Neptune as the ruler of 7 at the cusp of 4 in conjunction with the moon. For me it often feels like "I am the others", lacking a own distinct ego or preferences, templates - like a cloud, that passes everybody but doesn't have a certain shape or form which can be held... I feel and detect the emotions, thoughts and so on of others and act as a mirror of and for them. If there is something going on in the population around me, I name or communicate it before they get aware of it themselves. I emulate personalities automatically as I meet them in speech or other parameters so everybody who meets me feels "at home". Like an actor who plays every role which is necessary in the moment. This makes it easy for me to get along with almost everybody but it's also impossible for me to differ from my own feelings or those of the others and I'm like an (tele)empathic emotional sponge. In consequence, I'm a kind of pragmatic esoteric person, making no difference between me and the outside/remote world. It's all one for me and I consider everything outside my own personality/body as projections of my inside and vice versa.
Hi Lada, this is a very accurate description of Sun in the 12th House. Libra is my Sun sign and have scorpio rising in my 1st house. Moon in Taurus in the 7th house and venus, mercury and saturn also all in scorpio in the 1st house. I feel that the only positive aspect I have is my Moon in Taurus. I became a nurse so that was very Sun in 12th house but the older I get the more reclusive I have become. Thank you for your interpretation of this aspect. Spot on!

I can agree with most of what is described. However, I've learned that it is worth giving only if I love myself and I am balanced, then I can give help or service. Many have sensed that there is an natural instinct to assist thru counseling others where I see a larger picture of their aspirations and tendencies. I know that I can't help anyone if I am drained or uncentered. I do meditate, and love living alone peacefully with my animals.
i find this to be very true, and like another commentator suggested- i am in a counseling profession and have always imagined myself assisting others. however it is a delicate balance for me and can make my job somewhat difficult as i find myself drained if i've seen too many people. i am at my best when i've been able to pursue my interests such as yoga and spiritual reading, and tend to be withdrawn from the world in my own personal time in order to recharge for the next day. all very true ty!

I have vivid dreams, I am a poet ... have difficulty finding a very heart to heart connection (and I found it but the guy does not perceive that; I am invisible for him) - i need lots of solitude to recharge. Sometimes I just know how the things are or what is happening ... yet do not have proofs of being right or wrong. I may just wake up in the morning and "know". I feel it is very true for me, my self esteem was very low in my younger
years. I even took Martial Arts for over 5 years and would cry during
