    They use 74 “pattern”/sized mags.
    That’s why the Akm sized don’t fit, Zastava Galil sar weiger etc…
    It’s basically a beryl/74 with a 45 degree sight block an 14mm threads. 22mm trunnion/thin stem bolt/and lightened carrier with 74/beryl style bullet guide. Mine has almost 5k on it. Headspaces fine, everything looks good. Small wear in up until 200 rounds or so then stopped. Only issues has been broken firing pin tip. Luckily the beryls measure the same. So I used my beryls until a spare beryl came. Still waiting for pioneer to get a shipment from Poland for warranty

    More reviews finally, I'm gonna say it I bought a 5.56 pioneer arms forged series AK myself from Atlantic firearms I'm excited and skeptical at the same time on it, knowing it's my second AK, I will have I own wasr10 I've bought that new in 2019 off Atlantic firearms for $650 and I love that AKM, but wanted a different caliber, hopefully it's a good rifle. I'm swapping the crappy commercial furniture with my surplus Bulgarian 74 stock set, and arsenal AK 5.56 74 style brake I bought for it that I have armacon thread adapter for, and my standard semi auto Romy safety selector. I have some Bulgarian commercial 74 mags with pod arms followers I bought as well. I also bought some legit polish milsurp shooter grade 30 round Beryl 5.56 mags black with steel reinforced. I have a.c. unity mags as well in 5.56, I was told they didn't hog out the mag well enough there AKM 7.62x39 has same issue from what mishaco stated.

      Yeah I bought mine about a month ago and it seemed like there were hardly any reviews at the time; now there are getting to be more. Sounds like we have similar tastes, I’ve put a 74-style brake and Romanian AKM safety since this vid as well.

    I just got the underfolder 5.56 and am really liking it. I have several other nice 5.56 AK including Type 84 and Arsenal and though the Pioneer is evidently cheaper to mfg due to some cast parts, it looks and shoots great. For mags I use WBP, PUFGun, AC Unity aside from the Pioneer it came with. I need to find my circle 10 though I suspect it’ll be fine. Cool vid! 🤜🏻🤛🏻

    That gap on the rear stock is meant to be there. If the gap isn't there the laminated stock will split. It's actually a sign Pioneer know what they're doing... and you don't know what you're talking about. The things worthy of note about the stock are whether or not you can put a cleaning kit in it and that it doesn't have the reinforcing brass screw that you see on some laminated wood military AKM stocks.

    • @hobofactory
      @hobofactory  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Interesting, suppose I stand corrected. I never claimed to be an expert though… however I can offer you some knowledge as well that you seem to never have encountered: it’s possible to correct people without sounding like discharge-spewing dickhole. Try it sometime.

    I think the trigger finger ledge on the safety is great. You talked about the welds.... it's an AK (sound of crickets). The rivets are beautiful the finish seems top notch, Mine came with the polymer stock set and everything fits flawlessly. If you want an AK that does what AK's do. Then this is a good AK to do that thing that AK's do.... WORK

    • @hobofactory
      @hobofactory  ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I don’t personally have a gripe, it’s a commentary on their reputation. There are plenty of bad reviews of PSA AK’s so it would seem that they’re capable of producing a good rifle, but QC is inconsistent. When they’re good they’re good and when they’re not they’re not.

  • @konstantin070797
    @konstantin070797 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Well, in general, it looks clumsy compared to the original, but it seems to be a 3+ assembly. But the fitting of the parts is terrible, the pistol grip is terrible, a lot of extra rivets and welds, well, the cherry on the cake is the hole on the gas block at 45 degrees and in fact this is an obvious indicator that they did not quite understand why the original AK went from 45 degrees to 90, it's all about the amount of exhaust gases and their speed Especially since 5.45/5.56 speeds are even higher than in 7.62. Which in turn will increase the energy of the frame and it will beat harder against the rear liner, plus an extra load on all elements and possible deformations, well, more gases and accompanying dirt in the receiver... There is nothing to say about the use of metal, it is not known how well they have chosen the alloys for everything, although the extra welding hints that something is wrong here...
