I didn't see it all how you set up your tent sale what did you attach it to can we get a shot or your step back a little bit more so he can see what it's attached to?!
It's October so all of my shade cloths have been stored but I can add that I used 6 foot garden rods from Walmart. Post the rods in the ground at the ends and center then used the clips that are provided to hold the netting in place.
So many people are reporting crop/plant damage from the sun this summer. I think we will have to start using shade cloths on so many plants, if we want to save them. When this video was made, it wasn't as bad as it is now. I had to move my container plants into the shade or dappled shade.
Lynn you are absolutely correct. As a long-time gardener I can defiantly say that the summers are getting hotter. Shade cloths, mulch, drip hoses and a catchment system have helped save my plants and my water bill. Thanks for watching.
Just found your channel, how did the shade cloth work for you? I just purchased a 50% cloth. I’m new to Arizona and gardening. I have no previous experience so any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
This is my third summer using the shade cloth. It can be a pain to put up and take down but it works really well even in the rain. Last summer I used small clips to hold it in place. Since we usually get hot weather in periods of 2 to 5 days I roll or fold it back in the evening. I normally use it from noon until around 6 when the sun is the hottest. Thanks for subscribing to my channel.
2019, im late i know. We live in Az also, the sun is brutal. I say its all the chemtrails being sprayed in atmosphere causing sun to appear hotter because of the chemicals and metals that are within it. ( learning alot from my environmental science major 21yr old about what they are doing to all od us) best wishes to you all
I am so glad you asked. I should have posted links. The shade cloth worked, in fact, I now have 2 BUT during the following summer, the heat was horrendous. I needed to do more. That driveway is reflecting tons of heat on your plants as well. You shoukd try to find a spot as far from the concrete as you can.
The house wall as well

This is very good idea for shades over plants at low cost, less hassles.
Bro thank you
How did you hang it? What did you use to hold it up?
@@MelAtlNP Little red clips. Ninety nine cents at Kroger supermarket.
Thank you. This video really helps me ❤ It's my first time to use the shade cloth so I had zero knowledge about it 😂
I am glad it was useful. Thanks for watching.

Hey there, what percent shade cloth is that? 20 percent or 50 ? Thanks :)
The shade cloth in this video is 40%. I also have one that is rated 50%-60%. Thanks for watching.
Heya! What’s the update on the shade cloth? Are your plants thriving?
Are you doing something new to beat the scorching sun?
