I've been watching your vlogs for several weeks. Really like the calm vibe and quality editing. There are seriously not enough vloggers based in San Diego, so I'm hoping this becomes a lucrative full-time opportunity for you! Given that you seem to be into lifestyle vlogs, have you considered filming longer segments/stories centered on things in San Diego? Off the top of my head, Balboa Park, San Diego Zoo, Gaslamp, Legoland, SeaWorld, La Jolla. Heck even things to do in Santa Barbara to Los Angeles purely because of the larger audiences that can get you to virality. Another thing to think about is technically, there is a *faster* way to inorganically grow your audience, and that would be through a paid influencer marketing opportunity. I'm sure you can find an adjacent YT influencer witk 500K to 1M subscribers that could help you get to the next level simply through their own subscriber base. Final note: from a YT algorithm perspective, I've been getting YT recommendations for 10K to 20K subscribers right before they push to 100K, and the 100K to 200K before they push to 500K+, so hopefully you're part of that crowd soon enough!
Hey Tyler! Thank you so much for your willingness to provide some amazing ideas for content as well as ways to grow. I really do appreciate it and am taking notes! I have considered filming other types of videos based around things to see and do in SD. I've mentioned it in a couple vlogs back to see if there would be some interest and there was, however, I haven't gotten myself to really commit to anything yet. I've also thought about collabing with other creators as I really do think that's a great way to get my channel out there with people who might be interested in my content. I just haven't found any creators to reach out to (though I really haven't looked hard either). But I'm pinning your comment so I can look back at it for reference when I need to. Thank you again!
bro you said mid 30's. you look like you're in your late 20's! asian dont raisin. must be all the lumpia and halo halo lol. also this is random. would you ever do a "how I edit/color my videos" video?
When I was living a less corporate/structured life, I also had lots of thoughts right before going to sleep. Worries about my future and stuff like that. I feel like it's natural but also soo annoying because less sleep probably doesn't help the anxiety. Hang in there ❤. It was good to hear an update, I was also wondering how it was all going!
This was a great vlog Mikee! I started following you with your Japan trip and I really enjoy the style in which you shoot, speak, and edit. It’s nice and personal. I also love seeing things around San Diego, especially at the beach. It is constant inspiration for my husband and I to make the move there from where we currently are. ❤
Hey, thank you sm for the feedback! I love hearing what you guys think (good and bad) as it helps the channel overall. San Diego is a great place to live for sure, with its ups and downs as every city has, but it's truly got something special.
0:59 Hi,👋🏽 Mike OMG I was wondering to myself if you ever was gonna change your home décor although I thought, maybe not because you was in a summer like environment. And now hearing you say that you are gonna change it! I AM looking forward to the change!👍🏾😉🤟🏾
I know its probably not of interest to you but I think posting videos that help people with your knowledge base is a great pillar to grow your channel. I seem to follow peoples vlogs if theyre sharing helpful info in the rotation. like you sharing about cameras and home ownership is cool so like listicles might help the youtube algorithm push u to people? i think certain categories of youtube also pay more im suprised with ur videos that go viral that ur not making more money. ihope you keep going ur vibe is chill
Hey, definitely of interested and I appreciate any and all feedback so thank you! That's something I struggle with but do want to incorporate more of (figuring out how to add value to some of my content).
Definitely a great cafe to check out when you're here. The orange blossom latte is delicious (not too floral) and all the pastries I've tried as so good!
I've only had the orange blossom latte the three times I've been there because it's so good. Pastry-wise, I've gotten something different every time, and all so so good. Def reccomend!

Omg how did you have your camera on the paddle board? I would be so nervous that it’ll fall in the water 🫣
It was my Insta360 Ace Pro (my paddle board has an action camera mount). Don't give me any ideas! lmao

Excited to see the new camera, but I'm worried it'll make me want to buy it, too! 😂
