    Made for a Crowning Moment
To celebrate the coronation of His Majesty King Charles III on 6 May 2023. We have struck a beautiful coin collection that features the first official crowned portrait of The King.
The Coronation Sovereign 2023 Collection includes Proof editions of the Quarter-Sovereign, Half-Sovereign, Sovereign, Double-Sovereign and Piedfort Sovereign, alongside a Proof and Brilliant Uncirculated Five-Sovereign Piece.
    A Coronation Commemoration
Dated 2023, this collection celebrates the coronation of His Majesty King Charles III, one of the most momentous occasions in modern British history.
    A Kingly Sovereign
Struck in honour of the newly crowned king, this release continues the rich heritage of The Sovereign and its synonymous relationship with the British monarchy.
    A Royal Celebration
This is the first time a Sovereign collection has featured the official crowned coinage portrait of His Majesty The King, created exclusively for The Royal Mint.

I’m the United States, monument metals has the 1 oz, 1/4 oz and 1/10 oz coronation gold cypher coins…priced at 2050 for the 1 oz…560 for the 1/4 oz…and 229 for the 1/10 oz…I got a few of the 1/10 oz and 1 of the 1/4 oz gold and a tube of each of the silver coins…the silver coins were only a few dollars more than regular britannias…around 5 dollars over spot

I will retain my buying of four Full Sovereigns for each year minted and at £377-ish that's not a bad price, but the rest I will give a miss, simply as I think the RM had kicked the backside out the QE2/KC/Coronation Versions. I'm getting buyers fatigue and a dwindling bank balance to boot, for something that may not attract much if any premium down the road. Roll on 2024 versions, perhaps they will release the Queen Camilla sets........Oh behave!!!

Don't think the CIII Brit is 'too much' overall, a Silver Eagle is £48 from Atkinsons!

I got the posh hat sovereign direct from RM in the blister pack, cost £20 more than Atkinsons are selling them loose, but it was what i wanted no big deal when your buying just the 1, the blister packs are quite cool in making a small coin look more, oh and its already in the post and coming tomorrow

They should make a coronation of the King in the 10 ounce size.

I went ahead and ordered the 1 oz and 1/10 oz coronation gold coins. Very reasonable premium on the 1oz for 7,500 mintage. The 1/10 oz was selling cheaper than most other 1/10 oz sovereign coins (at least in the USA).

I bought a silver bullion crowned britannia and the silver cypher coin. I wanted a 1/10th gold coin too, but the budget wouldnt stretch. will be nice to add these to my stack. I almost always use Atkinsons, occasionally i'll look at the Britannia coin company for (pre owned).

I got one sovereign from Atkinsons. I will probably get the two 1oz silver coins. I like the designs but I am put off by the high price.1oz of gold is out of my price range. I am tempted by a double sovereign but I can't get one today so if it stays in stock for a few weeks I might go back for one.

Q how many people do you think buy this sort of thing just to flip, them ASAP or buy them just to sell at a later date for more.

Picked up a bunch of Sovs. Blister pack a big no for me. Equates to about a £30 difference when buying loose bullion from dealers. Simply doesn’t warrant the additional cost for packaging in my opinion. Enjoy whatever you have all purchased 👍🏼

I was measuring it up today and wondering if it was worth it. No. It's odd that they've declared a mintage limit on this "bullion" edition, although I'm pleased at the same time. The security features are in themselves of numismatic interest. But, popping a crown on the obverse doesn't make it the cut. It sounds a little bit like marketing indulgence. Beautiful, but indulgent.

Slightly off topic, got a few pre owned silver 1oz britannia from Atkins £26/27 can’t find better elsewhere without paying delivery and vat. Do think that’s a sensible option for silver stacking? Cheers

I would buy 1/4 oz gold coin if they had some - the premium on the bullion 1oz is off putting when the value is not much more than a regular Britannia

So, it's about 3% more premium for a coin with 10,000 mintage. That's really good in my opinion

I won't be, I have had massive milk spotting issues with over70-75% of the coin, I'm also getting fed up with the limited design capability of the Royal Mint, with deign sets of different things celebrating this country compared to other countries with Animals places and scientific achievements or even architectural designs. The Sovereigns are a disgusting color as well. I'll be buying older better colored cons.

I buy most of my bullion coins from Atkinsons but they started selling them the day after the royal mint. I was too impatient and bought some of the silver coins from royal mint and they are about £3 cheaper at Atkinsons 😑 At least they put them capsules and I received them the next day which has never happened to me from the royal mint before 👍
