I am addicted to this great Shahenshah Ghazal Mahdi Hassan Sahab’s Ghazal and have been listening to his this ghazal everyday from people who sung it, but only Mahdi Hassan comparable to himself.
Wow! Moza agaya..no one could be compared with Mehedi Hasan ji..but listening to Talat Aziz was really soul touching..his was closest to the original..
He is top most Ghazal Gayak of our country..he is not underrated..anyone when talks about ghazal in india ..Talat sahab name comes in top 5. Yes he is middle age order ghazal singer..like alka ji after lata ji and asha ji but that does not make them less of a singer 🥳

Atal Bihari Vajpai himself has come to receive him at Airport in India when Mehdi Saab had come for medical treatment here.love every good human being is the message at last.

I have started liking other versions. Lyrics is great. So good, Mehdi is not the only one to sing this. This version is also great. I am yet to see good versions of Nfk yet. Hope they will appear some day.

With due respect to talat aziz sir.... only Hariharan is at par with the original singer Mehndi Hassan Saab..... with the right pauses at the right time and place along with the emotions and '' mausiki'' which the heart and soul of the thing known as' 'gazal' '.
As you said hariharan is more classical in approach but the essence of gazals isnt all in your singing callibre it also should express proper dictions and emotions.... a long taan and sargam is not always required in gazal to be effective...talat has all this..
