I remember sitting in audience to this performance. How the first verse tore me up, I welled up and looked up to find a man I used to love staring at me from a distance. That is the last time we met and this was ''our'' song. Thank you Ustad for making a girl feel at the deepest core of her heart.

Yes in india, urdu is banned by hindu government.
but in Pakistan urdu is in every department of life
Urdu is not banned in India. And there is nothing like a hindu government, india is a biggest democratic country in the world and hence, even in the politics you'll see people from different religion together. And about Urdu, it's one of the official languages of the country. Widely spoken and celebrated. Infact there are many Urdu programs that happen in the country as well, like 'Jashn-e-Rekhta'. Kindly, don't say anything just by hearing some third person or the media. People are connect with heart. God bless all!

इस गजल को जो लोग नकारात्मक तरीके से जज कर रहे है वो इस बेस्ट गजलकार को पाकिस्तानी के नजर से जज कर रहे है।गजल के हिसाब से करते तो इतनी खुबसुरती की पेशकश को कभी नकारत्मक भाव से नही देखते।

Heard Rafaqat Ali Khan Sahab for the first time, and I must say that I am really impressed! This ghazal has been sung by Mehdi Hassan Sahab, Ranjish hi sahi, Dil hi dukhane ke liye aa! No doubt he was an unparalleled singer, but the way Rafaqat Ali Khan has sung with such warmth,feelings and expressions, undoubtedly touched our hearts! His way of connecting with people was heartening, a great performance indeed! His style of singing this ghazal, was very close to the original! This is one of my favorite ghazals, lyrics are so endearing, penned by Ahmad Faraz Sahab, touch your soul! A commendable performance by the singer and the musicians, who were just phenomenal, played beautifully! Thanks for sharing this wonderful piece of music! Best wishes!

I loved it. There is major difference between Mehdi Hassan ji s rendition. The Sam in the original was in ji of Ranjish hi. This ustad is putting Sam on hi. In the original the hi was a beautiful murki from Sa to Pa. that is missing
