Have just fixed mine after months, first it went on when it felt like then nothing. After watching a few videos on youtube I opened it up and it checked the capacitors, the 2700f16 had a bulge in the top, I found one in a broken tv, unplugged the 4 plug ins in the power board, undid the 4 screws, heated the solder off and took it out, put the used one in, two blobs of solder and it works perfect. Thanks very much for your vid
Most issues I’ve dealt with this kind of things was only the Fuse needed new one soldered on after the recent one bursts or short out on the power supply connected to the power cord that little motherboard will always be good it’s the fuse that never lasts on most TVs
I deal a lot with restoring UK slot machines, and deal with both the traditional coil style as well as switch mode (As used on this TV) power supplies, and certainly on the switch mode variant's, it's almost always a bad capacitor issue, which generally involves changing out ALL the capacitor's (We generally don't waste time or risk just changing the odd one or two, especially given the age), which vast majority of the time, will sort a switch mode power supply out well enough. Happens my Tevion md 30180 40 inch has just failed with a very similar issue as to what you describe here (PSU is a 17pw16-2 power board, and seams very common), so obviously one of my options is a re-cap, however as you pointed out, if a refurb switch mode is cheap enough, may save a lot of time and bother, just getting a replacement unit.
Or if lucky enough when you switch it on it will go BAA!!! AND SHOOT OFF!! 😂 OR it will do what i call.... pretend to be a train and puff smoke! Hehehe
Assalamualaikum wbt brother. My TV can't turn on.. I don't know how to which part is problem .. I plug 🔌 can hear the sound of start tv,but no standby light & no display on screen
Nice video, I know it's an old video but hopefully you can answer my question, I have a RCA 43" 1080p and it turns on but after one o two minutes it reset by itself and after another 1 or 2 minutes it restarted again, and the red light blinks while it reset, what woulb it be? Thanks
Does sound like a power supply board issue, maybe capacitors, of the logic board, or it could be the manual control sensor? Hard to tell without eliminating issues, the tv needs to be opened and various voltages checked.
Check your fuse on the power supply if you can’t find an easy way to solder it in use a piece of Tin foil wrap it around it end to end or put it inside the little plastic holder.
I have a really old tv toshiba TP43H60 made in 1999 and i had the same problem. all i had to do was unplug the tv, then hold down the power button for 45 seconds, then plug it back in and turn the tv on and it worked! :D
i get a blue screen for 3 seconds no loss of audio and no text just blank any ideas please. thank you also ghost recon wont start after 10 hours of play. i have ryzen 5 1600 16 gb ram thanks i enjoy your common sense chanel
when i switched the tv on at the wall i see a red light flash once and thats it after that its just dead no lights or anything, already tried replacing the fuse in plug no luck
Everything was showing that the TV should work. So I decided to look at the board. With the with the wires went into it to see if I could see anything like any soccer melodies and as I was looking at all of the things I got over and I said, well, that plastic looks weird on that, thanks to the biggest one, we're all other when that are little shiny and this 1 here. Looks like it's been outside for a while. It's just the old anyway, that looks there's a little crack at the top of it. Split going down it. I don't know if you don't even know what it goes to 18th or if it goes right fitting further a bit. That's probably yet aint it? Is that hard to sotter that on but would I be better off to get a board because I can't sorry but I didn't want to c*** I tried to sell it. I tried to stop the wires on electronics and every time. I have 3 wires on and one-off for 4 hours on and 1 off. If I'm gonna get done they're awful. I didn't, maybe I might get back to get 3 of them all and then it by that time it's dissolved. I got stuck too hot. But this thing, if it has to fit it has problems on it. It's a 39 inch. Tell it's a 39 inch element T and it's A882U. Do you?82uW? How even find it
Can anyone give me a tv diagnosis? When I go to turn it on sometimes I get no response. Then after a few tries I'll get a popping sound after I hit power, then it's off again. Finally after doing that a few times it'll come on. What's wrong with my tv? Please help!
thanks a lot mate!
This helped me repair my TV...
40$ for the power-supply board vs 300$ for a new tv... yeah :D thanks a lot!!!
2:07, capacitor '2' is almost falling off the board, definitely suspect. :) Great video! Edit: Aah, I see you already unsoldered it.
@Malcolm Amir I can't recommend flixzone, at least not here, not the right place.

Thanks man! May god bless you! 😊
how to know the capacitor is blewn out ??
If you look at the top of the capacitor, the good ones will look flat, while the bad ones will be bulging up and slightly rounded on top.
Or if lucky enough when you switch it on it will go BAA!!! AND SHOOT OFF!! 😂 OR it will do what i call.... pretend to be a train and puff smoke! Hehehe

So good
Wish I could send Pic element 39in mdl e2sw3918 sticker on top weird all other no sticker cross on top hell maybe it's not a capacitor

This needs for troubleshooting, back of TV needs to be accessed with a multimeter, only if you are confident, otherwise consult a professional
Always talking how to remove screw not the repair problem. Consuming time.

Check your power supply capacitors. Most likely you have one or more which are defective and need replacement.
