Hopefully you’re still answering questions here. I have a slightly different model, but with the same issue. I removed the back and there’s no apparent issues with with caps or anything, no bulges or burn marks anywhere. Mine has 2 fuses which I checked right away and sure enough one was burned out. It is the one right next to the power supply. I replaced it and as soon as I plugged back in it popped. I tried it a couple times and the fuse popped immediately, so I can’t get any further testing power. I do have a digital MM but I’m not well versed on how to use it. Love your videos!! I have a question. I e got an onn Roku smart tv. I started with no standby I’ve discovered that if the WiFi card is not connected the tv comes on. But as soon as you connect the WiFi card it shuts it down. Would this be a power supply issue not having the power to supply the WiFi card. Or more likely a short on the WiFi card itself? Any advice would greatly appreciated!! Thanks
Hey Tampatek, I have a found Nec v552 led flashes on then off. Red led flashes 3 times then..does the same. Do you think it’s a bad led? Power board is good and I baked mother board? Thanks
Your TV is flashing a trouble code. If you search your TV model online, you may find out what the code means....the table will be listed by number of flashes.
a couple of notes. confirmation of stby power should be ascertained by disconnecting the wiring harness that goes to the main board and checking if your 5v is now stable (load the line down if necessary), as your main board can easily be shorting your stby down. you can see your voltage switching, so there is a chance it isn't from the p/s, though i didn't see you esr the stby cap. :P

Without looking at the video I think it's a capacitor. Had the same problem with my 2010 Samsung LCD TV. Let's see if I'm right. Update: I was half right. Should of expected the transistors have a short.
Yea I just watched your video how to fix a LCD LED tv with no power pt 1. Do you have the 2nd one done yet? I liked the video very much and learned a few things from it but I have a 40PFL4901/F7B with a power board number of BA5D22G0201. I bought a repair kit like you did but I don't know how to check the items you or what to set the multimeter on. Please let me know as soon as you get it done ok? I have a Sony XBR 800 TV on the power board is putting out the correct voltage until I plug it into the main board then the voltage fluctuates and I have no picture or standby light. What are your thoughts I'm lost
My tv just shut off on me a couple of days ago. It's fairly old. Got it 2nd hand. There was already an issue with it when it comes to just turning it on. I had to hold the button occasionally to turn it on or when I hit the power button it took 30 secs or so for the tv to turn on. At one point the tv was in standby. When I tried turning it on the light turned off and then went back into standby. So when I turned it on...I never turned it off again because I was afraid it would never turn back on....lol I'm guessing my problem is most certainly a power board issue. Side note the tv always seem to run alittle warm too. I guess an older tv (not sure how old) might run alittle warmer than new tvs.
Can you please educate me how to solve the sound problem in LCD TV? It has good picture, there is sound, but the sound is distorting, rattling and its not clear. Is it a problem wtih the mother board? And pls also advise me if I can order universal motherbord for this and sort out the problem, Thanks

Hi TampaTec! Great video Sir and lucky you for being in sunny Florida! Meanwhilst in icy Scotland................hoping yourself or someone can help. I was watching my LG TV, when suddenly the screen went black and the red standby light was pulsing for a few seconds before dying. I tried dusting, hoovering, removing the back panel and doing the same. However when I turn it on, the LG logo appears for a split second and the standby light pulses again for a few seconds before dying. Any tips folks? I have read about baking the main board for a short term fix but am after something more permanent. I have priced up a new main board, and power supply board, but am unsure which one it could potentially be and wondered if anybody could advise?
Baking board is only temporary fix if your lucky. But all those parts are temperature sensitive up to 160f / 71c. What you mentioned, I would buy cap kit for that tv model. Try eBay, or shopjimmy.com or electropartonline.com for tv parts.

My Sony xbr-55X810C has same symptom. Lightning strike. Completely dead set. Power supply has 3.4 volts standby, 12.7 volts dc reg. but no 12 volts on TCON terminals. Several transistors are showing an unstable/varying voltage. Disconnecting the plug to the main board results in a loss of the 12 volt reg. and no back lighting appears. Any advise? Great video. My lg 42" 3d TV doesn't turn on, instead it cuts off the fuse in the 3 pin plug of the power Cable that connects it to the mains. When the fuse in the plug is replaced, it blows it up once the TV is put on. What could cause this? How could this be fixed? Thank you
Hello. I have a vizio D32X-D1 and the picture went out, but I had sound. I unplugged and replugged the power cord a few times, then lost sound too. When first powering on, the leds come on and go out quickly. I preformed the flashlight test and I’m not able to see a picture. Have any idea?
Hello Friend from Tampatec, I would like to know if a universal power supply --- from china "didn't put the link" ;-) --- is compatible with Philips 37PFL5603D-10 and with this power supply - "DPS-279A"? I was checking the parameters of both power boards, and seeing a lot of your videos, but i cant see how to connect backlights (12v). The problem with my Philips is that in standby mode it blinks 3 times, and doesn't turn on, and in Portugal i can't find any supplies. And because i like to repair stuff... i'm trying to revive it. I really like your videos. Very simple and very compreensive. ;-) Best regards,
I have a similar problem, my standby light is on but the tv doesn’t not power on. Everything works & slowly it started not turning on, eventually it didn’t turn on at all. Do you believe a power board will fix this issue?
Hi, can you tell me what can be? I have LG 47GA6400, i press power on and the small light start to light white and dimming off but nothing on the screen.
before going through all that trouble make sure its not locked in standby mode because that disables all of the buttons on it when its shut off and resets will not work on it.
Hi i got Sony XBR-75X850E tv just got 3 years ago, was working totally fine but all of a sudden today no picture no sound totally blank, only makes a clicking sound after every 5/6 seconds.can u tell me how to fix this problem ?
Hello .I have a problem with my 4k led tv 50” .I wish I can send you a picture , you see the problem.this problem started after I updated the firmware and it changed right at the installation and pictures and words doesn’t fit in the screen .when I switch to apps ,they are over others .like it’s not clear at all it’s like it switched itself to zooming and stuck there .I’ve tried to change the firmware to no avail. Please help .
I think that you've already solved the problem. Replace the shortened component and replace all the electrolytic caps. And you won't have to purchase the new power supply
I opened my tv, its LG led tv. Red stand by light flashes 3 times and then nothing happens. Also, backlight just flash once and then it turned off by it self. On power supply board, I checked standby voltage , it is 3.4v. On the output side of power supply( lable mention four 80v pins and three 13.2v pins) when i check voltage on those pins i got 60.2v and 9.3v. Do you think my power supply is bad? Or i am not getting exact voltage bez tv is not turned on. Thanks
I replace my power board and master boy and I still get a clicking sound what that's coming from is coming from the right corner or my TV on a 65 inch Samsung
No, I went to itt tech and graduated with associate's degree. I worked as tv tech for years and worked fixing video arcade machines for years then installed TV and surround sound afterwards. Now I do it as a hobby to help others on TH-cam.
Blondie SL I only paid about $150 for my Hakko 808. The new ones are pretty pricy though. Circuit Specialists has some around $150. After you get one you will be glad that you did. It is the one piece of equipment that I would replace immediately if mine quit on me and I couldn't fix it. It just saves me so much time!
With voltages you shouldn't be using continuity on your meter. Nor to use it for transistors. A diode check works so much better. You need to read up on your meterminstructions. I'd rather trouble soot the circuit than to spend that money on foolish modules..it would be a lot cheaper..
My LG has a steady red led, but will not turn on by pressing the button. I've attempted the rest set process several times with no success. Any one know of the right fix is.? I've checked the stand by voltage at the board and it exceeds the 13.2v .

Hello. I have a vizio D32X-D1 and the picture went out, but I had sound. I unplugged and replugged the power cord a few times, then lost sound too. When first powering on, the leds come on and go out quickly. I preformed the flashlight test and I’m not able to see a picture. Have any idea?
Hello Friend from Tampatec,
I would like to know if a universal power supply --- from china "didn't put the link" ;-) --- is compatible with Philips 37PFL5603D-10 and with this power supply - "DPS-279A"? I was checking the parameters of both power boards, and seeing a lot of your videos, but i cant see how to connect backlights (12v).
The problem with my Philips is that in standby mode it blinks 3 times, and doesn't turn on, and in Portugal i can't find any supplies. And because i like to repair stuff... i'm trying to revive it.
I really like your videos. Very simple and very compreensive. ;-)
Best regards,
Badass video!
I have the same model as far as 50pg20 / us.ausnlhr but What’s exactly in the Parentheses? What is that?
I need a LS2204037-00-GP Power Supply Logik I cant seem to get one. Can I replace all the parts , if so, could you help name them on that board Thanks
I have a similar problem, my standby light is on but the tv doesn’t not power on. Everything works & slowly it started not turning on, eventually it didn’t turn on at all. Do you believe a power board will fix this issue?
Wondering what happened to part 2
Thanks sir.
Hi, can you tell me what can be? I have LG 47GA6400, i press power on and the small light start to light white and dimming off but nothing on the screen.
before going through all that trouble make sure its not locked in standby mode because that disables all of the buttons on it when its shut off and resets will not work on it.
Guys am thinking to but a remote for this exact model do u guys think a remote will fix the issue

Is it worth it if the screens are cracked.
Don't trust those polarization marks even in good brand capacitors ! Sometimes they are wrongly labeled .
hi..may tv ist 50inch led ..no power no blink all capacitor end diode is ok..please solution
Didn't know what you were talking about. To Technical.
Nice!
I'm always surprised how many TVs I see when I go to the local recycler.
Did you take anything?
Can you tell me your location I’ll
take my tv to you and fix it for me. My tv has no power
Thanks
I didnt no u can check volts on diode mode
true but fluke 113 meter has auto mode
I have a problem with my lcd computer monitor no power led indicator.can i send you a email with picture it is one module with power supply on board.
What happened to part 2?
I replace my power board and master boy and I still get a clicking sound what that's coming from is coming from the right corner or my TV on a 65 inch Samsung
What if your getting standby voltage.
Do you have a electrical engineer degree.
No, I went to itt tech and graduated with associate's degree. I worked as tv tech for years and worked fixing video arcade machines for years then installed TV and surround sound afterwards. Now I do it as a hobby to help others on TH-cam.
I see that you still haven't invested in a decent desoldering gun. What's the problem??
