  • There's a trend going on with the muay thai fighters I've been reacting too, most of them look slicker than some boxers I've seen so I truly wonder how these skills would translate if they actually made a transition to boxing. Lerdsila went 100 - 0, that's a number you don't see nowadays and probably never see again, he has all my respect

Most muay thai fighters are taught to have a rigid and strong stance so as not to get their balance and composure ruined by their opponents. This is how the muay thai scoring system works. Muay Thai judges dont care how many hits you land. They only care about how much you can "affect" your opponent's composure. This is why muay thai fighters prefer power shots over combinations. This is also the reason why Lerdsila and Samart are considered unusual fighters since they are very relaxed and sometimes they dont even bother to put up a guard.

I think their fluid stances attributed to their success in the ring because it made it easier for them to move freely and easily hence the matrix like ability

Nokweed davy went 261-0 before he lost for the first time.
BTW Saenchai and Lerdsila are from the same gym. But there’s someone from that gym who’s better than them both: Somrak Khamsing.
Btw here’s footage of Lerdsila getting KO’d th-cam.com/video/iw5hn1YTWu8/w-d-xo.html
Since you're a boxer, you'll probably like this guy. He's the one who KO'd Lerdsila in the video above: th-cam.com/video/P-TM3mDn-_8/w-d-xo.html

Somrak's game is a little different. He has more offensive tricks too, but his defensive game is definitely not better than Lerdsila's was. Than Saenchai's? Quite possibly, yes.
It's interesting to note that some very, very offensive legends like Buakaw also have some of this weaving shit down to an art. He's someone who very rarely uses it, but when forced to he too will up against the ropes just duck any strikes with head movement only.

What do you mean how are they slicker than some real boxers? Like it's not real. Actual Thai Muay Thai fighters can usually chill through fights against westerners. They don't have to try hard because they have hugely more fights under their belt. These guys start as small kids.
On top of that, even amongst all of that competition, Lerdsila is literally the most evasive one there's ever been. More so than Somrak or Saenchai. Saenchai's technical game may be even better overall across the board, maybe, but on the defensive technique specifically no one's ever matched Lerdsila.
