I is my first diesel engine. When it is a bit colder do I immediately turn the key to start the engine just after glow plugs go off or can I wait a bit longer an if waiting after glow go off do plugs still get heat?
Why still keep the Mirror closing feature ON when there is SO COLD temperatures ? I deactivated that and here is only like -1 celsius most likely or 1/2 celsius degrees
Is it normal for the "check engine" - sign to stay on until you start the engine ? .. pls. help me with an answer because i just purchased a second-hand golf 2.0 TDI ( blue motion) & it stays ON for me to but i've seen some videos with golf 7 2.0 TDI where it dosen't do that.... Thanks in advance.
Yes. The check engine light has to be on when the ignition is, before starting the engine. When you have started the engine it should turn off very shortly.
Idk man maybe u r right it is brand new car, i had few over 10 y o diesel cars and all i knew was not to do this cause it is bad for engine. Maybe things have changed
@@mateolasak6549 Ok starting your car in brasil mid summer at 45 degrees is cold start too for you ok now i know humans lost their mind and every dumbass has something to say. Cold start in automobile history means when its so fucking cold that you can barely turn your car on, some have to put fire under their car to heat it up because the diesel is not fluid anymore, that is cold start son. 2 degrees is nothing, even -30 degrees is nothing for this car. He just wanted to show his lame 1.6 tdi with slow 105hp for no reason
Very bad engine, i have driving lessons in a Golf with the exact same engine. I can say when you want to overtake and you floor it it takes up to 2 seconds, turbo lagg is very noticable. When going faster than 110 km/h the engine almost stops. If u want to go from 110 to 135 km/h it takes a long time when you floor it. Fucking undersized car engines these days☹ Golf should make the 1.9TDI or 2.0TDI standard
Press down the thingy where you put it into drive down when you are in drive and the it goes from drive into sport (sry I don’t know the English words for all the car parts )
@@darius4932 well i have driving lessons, so obviously it's a manual car and not a automatic lol. I looked for a Drive Mode button but there is none, could it be in the touchscreen
I saw a guy enter his car, start it and turn on fog lights and heating. Waow this life is awesome !
hahahah
Looks clean af the central console bit
Just start up cold diesel engine and put the heat on to maximum:) lol i didnt knew anybody do this
What's the problem with that? The engine still gets up to operating temperature. Just takes longer.
I agree with you... What a terrible video
It is a modality on vw cars. You can warm up quickly the engine putting high temperature air.
The Golf 7 has an additional electrical heating, which also helps to get the engine warm more quickly.
there is an electric heater element in vw that the manual says only activates if you crank up the heating to the max

@@danielfl.9347 Thank you, i just wanted to see if that is a normal thing. Cheers !
Yes of course, if it doesnt light up it means you dont have a engine anymore
Hahaha kiggede på koldstart, intet viden om det var dansk, så læste jeg instrumentbrættet. :-D
Også her😅
Also cold Start ist jetzt nicht so deins aber hast du es schonmal mit ASMR Videos versucht?

Maybe it's because older Diesel engines takes a while to reach operating temperature.
Shame its not a R line
Nice car but not a cold start.
wtf
Lool thats no cold start. Go to russia
Or Canada
Cold start means when engine is cold not when is minus 20...

Put it in sport. That sharpens the response very much. The 1.6 TDI in Golf 7 is very laggy in comparison with the 1.6 TDI in the faceliftet Golf.
