Playing dh pistol pistol / sword torch at WvW was fun. Trailblazer and carrior mix with baltazar runes. It's not op but fun to play cos lots of burning
Necro's swords! because finally we get movement skills on a weapon for necromancer.
I feel you, i tried to make scepter work in wvw, and its ok, zerg comp is great now if you run scepter/shield and staff on vindi support. when i tried roaming i kinda was between boosting healing power for more barrier or bumping up expertise for the tether to be more effective and controlling so the condi stays longer allowing you to weapon swap and get rid of that slow burn gameplay.

@spudzie9117 Crusader is definitely a more tanky build and is fun to roam with, and to offset the tankiness i ran assassin trinkets.
Some extra synergies are needed, but so far it's looking good as a new weapon, Ele pistol and Engi shortbow need more love. I just hope devs can get some feedback (and actually listen to it) from the community testing the weapons. awesome vid.
I am most excited for the swords on necro, but the little I tried them so far was lackluster. Have you tried them yet?

You slightly touched on it at the end but how do you feel it affects Renegade builds? I sort of feel like Scepter is overkill on heal Herald but I gotta wonder if its enough to make Heal Renegade more of a compelling choice in PvE.
Great question. I think it’s a huge buff to heal renegade. You’re able to get high might stacks now, and barrier is always nice. Paired with shield buffs, I think heal renegade now has similar boon coverage to herald. Even if it’s a bit harder to output.
I'm really excited for Mace/Mace in Ranger and Scepter in Revenant
I am pretty happy scepter 3 has a pull. Very useful for defiance bars and very fun when dealing with adds.

Finally! I love the scepter. It brings the last piece of the puzzle to Revenant for me. I love the Specter gameplay with the tether, now I can have the best of both worlds on my favorite prof.

@@fullmetalathlete I tested this with scepter a week ago and got still from time 600k+ healing. Even though I give lot of barrier.
I can give build if you like, also works with mace
And I liked the Scepter in the DPS build with an axe in the other hand. It's great for a Vindicator. P.s I only play WvW
In general all new weapons for each class needs tuning, I hope they listen to all the GOOD suggestions and implant them

I absolutely love playing all classes. It all just clicks in a really fun way. Except Rev unfortunately. None of the main hand weapon skins feel that great. With the introduction of the scepter I was excited to see if that changed at all, and it has! I am excited to level my Rev from the start with this awesome weapon.
Daaang was scrolling through TH-cam and saw that big spirit sword time to come back looks to fun to not make it work!
I was really hyped for Mesmer rifle, but when they didn't give it a firing squad skill I was upset.
After playing with them I'm most hyped for mace on ranger. Gonna be great for Druid in PvE and for open world survival

I just want the option to make the auto attack ranged instead of melee. It felt wrong to me that 2 and 3 are 900 and 1 isn't
How do you feel about the new hammer changes?
I haven’t played with it yet, but after shortbow piercing buffs, it’s probably not going to see use over it in PvE. The skill reworks though, will be better and feel smoother to use in WvW.

Scepter 3 imo should be a long range damage/heal. If allies touch the beam they are healed each tick, if enemies touch the beam they are damaged each tick. The slow is not very useful in PvE, and in combination with cripple, is very unfun for enemies to play against in PvP.

I wanted Mesmer's rifle to rock, but it's a wet noodle %)). Now I'm actually hyped for Rev. Aaaaand - since Necro basically got Rev's dual swords but with range - I'm also considering dusting off my Necro, that's been gathering dust for ages. Oh, and I just wanted to add - Rev's hammer buff %))).
Necro needs a lot of QoL work. The pathing of the skills is awful, the damage is undertuned, the flipover timeout is way too short, and the health costs are a little excessive. It has a lot of potential to be really fun though.

I was actually kinda underwhelmed when I heart Revenant was getting scepter, but after seeing it in action I'm actually kinda excited for it.
Idk i tryed a lot of stuff with other Top Revs (Belzedar, Flor) in PvP. It is ok but it will definitely not be a top pick.
In my opinion they have to rework or atleast put better number on it to be useful in the dps way

rev is awesome, i just dont like black and red colors lol, but, it's my main because it's just too versatile
I hope the auto attack animation colour changes with legendaries in the future. Atm I heard it wasn't yet and maybe still being worked at.

We all know the one thing the Devs are great at in this game is nerfing anything and everything on Rev that is mostly good. I bet they made the scepter melee for the sole purpose of nerfing Vin because they haven't done so in the last couple of patches lol.
