Great video Tracey. Thanks for sharing. The snow looks fantastic especially on the trees. It's like a winter wonderland. It's like being in Alaska/Canada.Glad you all made it back safely, it must have been hard walking. Views from the top were stunning. Thank you. Take care and stay safe. ATB to you, Billy and Andy.😊
Hi Tracey. Absolutely brilliant, what a dumping of snow Narnia had, amazing views, looked tough going in the deep snow, but an amazing reward. Unfortunately it sounds like it will all have gone by the end of the week. Enjoy your week, all the best 😀🥾⛰
Oh WOW! What a fantastic start to 2025. This on top of those mental cloud inversions to end 2024 are something else. That snow was unbelievable. The forest looked like something out of a fairytale. What a way to start the new year. The last dog I'd want to take up to the top of a fell would be a red setter. They're a lovely dog but absolutely mental ha ha! All the best Tracey, Andy and of course Billy, wonder what went through his head when he saw all that snow ha ha ha.
Hi Tracey, Does look like you've been transported to Narnia, sort of weather when you want to be everywhere simultaneously. Absolutely amazing in that sunshine, looks like you were the second person to walk that path judging by the footprints 👣. Looked down to type, looked up again and there's Andy, that's the fun of combining 2 walks. I noticed you saying map and stylus time, tell me the finches aren't going digital 🤣😂. Cheers Graham
Hi Tracey, Andy and Billybob, wow that was absolutely amazing, we were enthralled from start to finish. Narnia was indeed truly magical, it was beautifully filmed and edited as normal and we really felt part of the magic your were experiencing, thanks for sharing it with us. Cheers Glyn.
This is when snow looks appealing, fresh, unspoiled 😊not the wet mush that follow & the bloody ice that makes walking on pavement a nightmare 😳 😮😮 makes everything look so bright & clean looking from the summits Tracey! Only downside to fresh snow, is it's damn hard work on the legs plunging through the snow ❄ 😅 another very interesting vlog, regards to you, Andy & of course Billy Bob 🐶🐕❤🎉
@davidmarshall5596 thanks David, yeah it's been a challenge deciding which fells one can get to this week, all side roads been iced up , but it looks so stunning. It's not often we get snow for that long right down to valley level, the higher routes off the paths have been knee deep and it's been soft powdery snow all week. It's all gone now . Special, memories on whinlatter I won't forget.
@@Traceyattrill-Essexgirlinwild yeah, it's very unusual that the snow hangs around for more than a,couple of days s Tracey, a lot milder here in Bolton this am, around 8 degrees C, back to some sort of normality again, whatever that is 🤣
Hi Andrew and Tracy. Great to meet you guys on Saturday while I was in Coledale . Love watching your videos and was lovely to meet the amazing and beautiful Rockstar. Keep on doing your superb videos . Paul from Penrith …
That looked amazing. Hard work through the deep snow. Even Billy had to have a lie down. Good to see your helper in the background. More inspiration , but will wait for the days to lengthen and warm up a bit. Thank you
@HeatherPark-ij7yz thanks Heather, if your gonna do in warmer months you could do from visitor centre , but then parking is extortionate. It's one of my favourite walks , just love the forest.
Beautiful video Tracey, absolutely stunning! The snow on the fir trees really did make it look like Narnia! You must've had plenty of layers on because it's been so cold. It looked hard walking in the deep snow too. Thanks for doing it so we didn't have to! 😀
. . . ‘June ‘22’ you say; I recall an unmarked ‘winter wonderland’ without a sound … especially not any music to break the spell of the perfection of that last Saturday in January in 1979. I was a teenager living within an easy hitching distance of Braithwaite - winter was my preference ; minus the ‘crowds’, ‘Yes’ … even then.
Hiya Tracey what a marvelous vlog this is the amount of snow is unbelievable Last Sunday night in Workington we had a heavy snowfall. The fells are still covered a week on Even up at Lillyhall this morning there's still snow on the roads in the side. Wishing yourself & Andy + Billybob a very happy new year. Malcolm and Sheila from Workington.
@malcolmcharlton6954 hi Malcolm, I've had to drive to Cleator Moor a few times this past week for work and it's been amazing looking over at the fells around Ennerdale and Lamplugh. It's all gone now though 😕 back to grey rain and mist haha . I'm sure it will be back again though.
Happy snowy new year Tracey, Andy and Billy bob.. just halfway through watching this 2 for 1 winter wonderland epic walk on my large tv and it looks awesome.. Not long back from Lisbon Portugal and I knew there had been a good dumping of snow as our flight was diverted from Manchester airport to Stanstead as mcr was closed .. Knowing my luck ut will all be gone by the time I get out on a hike.. Just watched Andrew beavers wildcamp to up in the lakes . Can't belive I've missed all this snow 🙄😁
@hikermikem8 wow that's a bit of a diversion to Stanstead airport. It's amazing how a bit of snow causes so much chaos 😳. Well it lasted 6 days and now it's all gone. But I'm sure it won't be the last we see of it, Feb and March are good times to get a big dumping. Hope you manged to get out in it .
Thank you Tracey but I will get the x5/4 bus sbd get off at thornthwaite. Let some one else do the driving. I only live in Wigton. Looking forward to the next adventure

Beautiful that. Nothing beats walking on freshly snow covered fells especially on a clear day. A lovely interesting way to the tops as well.
Many thanks Graham 😊
Stunning conditions. Can't beat snow that deep and that kind of forest.
@TheWalkingKev Magical , wish it could last much ,longer 😄
Your enthusiasm for Whinlatter is so infectious. A lovely video.
