    Very comforting to look at after the bad taste that the previous APU left in my mouth.
    Eficient work. Thanks for sharing. All the best.

    You have quite the stock of those IC's, are they the main thing that seems to fail in a ps5 power supply? excluding bugs/vape smoke etc

    • @ToltecMerc
      @ToltecMerc  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      They do fail quite often, sometimes to bugs, sometimes to lightning. I have a box full as well. They are listed as becoming obsolete/end of life.

    As many power supplies as I’ve seen you take apart one would think it would be easy by now. Haha nice easy fix. Good video

    Hi! Always enjoy your videos. You are very methodical with your troubleshooting and explanation, which helps myself and others learn. Would you mind providing a link on Mouser on the TEA2016AAT you’ve purchased and used? Would love to see you add the parts you use with possible links and equipment you use in future repair videos in the description. Great job! Thank you for your content. 👍🏻😃

    Hey what flux do you use? I'm just getting into repairing consoles and systems but I'm not sure on what flux to go with

    • @ToltecMerc
      @ToltecMerc  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I use cheap Kingbo RMA-218. It works for me. There are more expensive flux that some prefer. Amtech for example.

      You just have to get started. Buy some cheap electronics that you have an interest in and would enjoy working on. Do your best to repair it. You can record with your phone and use free editing software. Start small but START!

    Nice video always look forward to new videos . I have been trying to fix a slim 160cr supply in which the output voltage goes to 13v and then the over voltage protection kicks in I guess and turns the power supply off . I replaced the DDA001ag the 16121a the dnp120ah the dap041 all optos q41 still it's doing the same thing . What controls the output voltages ? Can't figure this one out pls help 😅

    • @ToltecMerc
      @ToltecMerc  ปีที่แล้ว

      Check the feedback circuit. Look for IC53(opto-isolator) and the reference IC that is connected. The reference IC will be either a TL431 or TL432. It's a small 3-pin smd component that will be connected to the cathode of the feedback opto-isolator.
