I had hoped that with all of these black celebrities [because WE seem to be the main ones in denial] speaking about their mental health that people would be more open minded about the subject, but apparently I was wrong
I've gone through a divorce and when kids are involved it's hard to accepted the fact that things didn't work out... My wife left me in 2019 and we just now got the divorce finalized last month... But there's a part of me that still feels like I let my kids down

I have bipolar 1, the same type of bipolar Kanye has had. Been dealing with it since It first started setting in when I was 15-16. It’s different than other kinds of bipolar (biggest other one being bipolar 2) in that we spend most of our lives manic, there’s occasional dips into the depressive end but we’re normally manic. That’s why you see Ye with the grandiose sense of self, even more so than other celebrities “I am Walt Disney. I Steve Jobs. I am DaVinci”, and why you see him having episodes. I have the same thing going on most times, both the self-worth & the occasional wilding out. I also have never been on medication except for maybe 6 months out of this entire time, I’m 27 now so 11-12 years. It zombifies me. I just treat my bipolar disorder with therapy & things like meditation, and channel my manic aspects into work + school + creativity.
Say allat to say, I hate how Vlad did exactly what Aries brought up with the Dave quote, being dismissive with just “he’s crazy”, Kanye has bigger moments than I do obviously because I’m not a celebrity, but I can normally manage myself pretty well & rarely have meltdowns.
