In this clip, Aries Spears starts the interview off by plugging his latest project in the media called the "Spears and Steinberg Podcast." Then, he slams hip-hop's latest generation of rappers in a rant about the Island Boys, Young Thug, Trippie Redd, 6ix9ine, and more by calling them "Gremlin A*s N*ggas" and "Cockroaches." To that DJ Vlad leaves spears totally flabbergasted when he calls Kodak Black the "New James Brown." In response, the comedy veteran jokes that DJ Vlad should be shot in the head. This sparks a heated debate about today's generation of rappers and where they stand in comparison to great rappers in the previous eras. Vlad when you have guest on your platform that come from the old school and know history you need to stop with the patronizing. James Brown was such a major person in the history of music I couldn't even begin to explain all of his accolades in In paragraph he was called the Godfather of Soul for a reason. To compare any music artist least of all Kodak Black is not only an insult to James Brown but an insult to the Black Community. James Brown was such an important figure during the Civil Right era just talking about that alone would take days to cover! Do your homework and I say this not with anger but with encouragement. Kodak Black really!! James Brown revolutionize soul music to and extent that all of hip hop was created from his drum beats and tempo that alone would make him great if that was all he was known for but it wasn't!! Kodak Black again really!! Lets not even talk about his dancing and emphasis on the One beat in music which no artist was doing and made his rhythm so powerful. This man was so powerful that the mayor picked him to do a concert to calm the people during the riots why because that was the respect this man had!! Once again Kodak Black really!! Kodak black wouldn't even have been an opening act for James Brown why because this man needed no opening act just him alone would have been enough to fill a stadium!! Once again Kodak Black really!!!

Was he a 1st ballot rock and roll hall of famer? Has he wrote songs that empowered his people? Has he personally employed 100's of his own people? Has he risked his life to perform in international war zones for his people serving there? And does he have the power to stop riots in the wake of MLK's death? Until you can answer "yes" to all of these questions there is absolutely no comparison!
