Who's the Goat 🐐 of Basketball 🏀??? Here are 8 great videos that make suggestions to who is the greatest. Of course everyone is going to have their opinion/favorite. So that you don't have to track them down.
All 8 of these videos are great and about 4 years old. *Lebron* has the most views and *Larry* is 2nd out of the list👇.
I personally enjoyed Larry's the most. Not only is he in the conversation of who's the goat 🐐. He won Gold 🥇 *(with his NBA Rivals like Magic and MJ)* at the Olympics, became a Head Coach (Indiana Pacers), then went upstairs to the Head Office.... running everything!! Larry's *GENUINE friendship* with Magic Johnson was awesome to see 👀, on and off the court. Oh yeah, Larry also had *Rookie of the Year* as well 😎

Some context about the left handed game. Larry took all of his shots in the paint left handed through the first three quarters. The game got close in the 4th so Larry had to stop messing around and play with his right hand but 10 of his 21 shots made in the game were left handed. Bird finished the game with a triple-double, 47 points, 14 rebounds, and 11 assists.

Bird averaged 24.3 points, 10 rebounds, and 6.3 assists per game for his career. He had a four year stretch where he averaged 50-40-90. He could do everything on the basketball court at the highest level. Won 3 league MVPs in a row. I have him as the 3rd all-time greatest player behind MJ and Kareem, with Magic 4th.

You get it. This is why so many of us sing the praises of these old school players.
They cared. They put forth maximum effort in every single game. Because they loved the game and wanted to have the fans love the game.
They made good money doing so. Not nearly as much as they are making per year as they do now. They never took it for granted that they were owed 40+ Million per year to only play 50-60 games out of 82. Most players played 65-82 games unless they were injured badly.
Availability was appreciated. Passion was appreciated.
Larry Bird is the prime example of someone who did it because he loved it.
You look at Larry, Magic, Kareem, Jordan, Dominique, Dr.J, Isiah, Admiral, Ewing, Barkley, Shaq, Duncan, Kobe, AI, Olajawon, Mutombo, Kemp, Payton, Worthy, Moses, Dumars, Richmond, Miller and so many of the 80-90's and 00's players.... something they all have in common is a love for the game.
The last decade seems to have been all about give me money, and I might play. Things have gotten out of control. I am all for labor and steong unions, but it feels like the inmates are running the asylum.
Because it is hard for me to believe that some of these players actually do love the game.

When Magic was diagnosed with HIV.. he called Larry.. and Larry said he couldn't hardly play the next day.. he was so upset because in that day and time.. it was a death sentence.. Larry didn't want that to happen to Magic. I have to say.. we are all happy that Magic is still with us.

Larry had his right cheek bone right under his eye was broken & he had a concussion also.

LeBron tapped out of a finals game against the Spurs when he started "cramping" after the A/C went out in the stadium. There's no way he'd keep playing if he had blood on his jersey, let alone if he broke his face diving for a ball like Larry. Or if he had the flu like MJ did.

You need to watch the video titled "greatest passer ever with re-edit" to see how great of a passer Bird was when he played. Bird vs all other forwards of his era ( PF and SF) led all Forwards in assists per game was #1 for 8 seasons and was #2 in assists per game for 3 seasons and was also 4th. Bird only played 12 seasons! Bird actually dominated his position for passing more than Magic!! How? Magic led the league in assists per game for 4 seasons and was 2nd in assists for 6 seasons and was also 4th and 7th. Bird also was a tenacious rebounder and was the founding member of the 50-40-90 shooting club = did it 2 years back to back (87 and 88) and was so close in 85 and 86 that if you total Bird's stats for those 4 seasons = Bird averaged 50-40-90 over 4 consecutive years!! No other "goat" candidate can say that. I have Bird as the best "all around" player I have ever seen. Remember Bird as a rookie went to a 29 win team and was the main reason Boston won 61 games = a 32 game turnaround = the biggest single season improvement in NBA history. Bird won ROY over Magic by a huge margin and was 4th in the MVP. In the next 8 seasons in the MVP Bird was 2,2,2,1,1,1,3, and 2nd again = that is domination!!!!

The Left-Handed Game; Bird got like 22 OR 24 Left-Handed. But for the Entire Game He got 47-Points. They always leave out the Whole part Bill really said. The part They leave out is, Yes Larry Said He was going to Play this Last Road trip Game, "Left-Handed, And through at least 3/4 Quarters, EXCEPT for Long Jumper's". He also got a Triple Double that Night. WOW, You have so much to Learn about The Man, Larry Legend of What He really did in BB. He was the Very First to have a 40/50/90, Yep the Club was Stared because of Him & He did that a Few times. Also Who do You think was the Last to Ever get 3-MVP'S Three Years in a Row?
Answer is, Larry Bird. What is taking These "So Called Great Athletes" from The 90's, 2000's And All The Way Up To 2025 from being able to get 3-MVP'S Three Years In A Row? I mean it's going on 39-Years now. Really Larry did a lot of Things First. But from Bird's own mouth He said, "Records Are Made To Be Broken". The reason You don't know a lot about Bird, Is for one, He hated to be Interviewed. You can find some of His interviews on here. But You can tell He is Not Comfortable doing Them. For one thing Larry Doesn't Like Pounding His Own Chest & It will be Really Hard to Ever Hear Him put down Todays Players/The BB Game. Really NOT So Much for These Soft Playing Rules & The Soft Players that We have Today. He Won't because like You even noticed, Larry Loves BB.
And also You don't hear a lot about Bird is Because He Is White, And He was OUT SMARTING Everyone, Yep Even Jordan. Larry Really did like Playing against "The Great Athletic Players" back then. Because He Loved To Embarrass Them, It Was Motivation For Him. Larry Had & Still To This Day The Highest BB IQ.It's Just A Fact. And You Will See That High IQ On Display The More You Watch Him. Did A Good Job Here & I Hope You Keep Doing More Of Larry To Understand, Why He Was & Still To This Day The Best All Around Player To Ever Do It. Thank You for This One.

Jokic is Larry Bird as a 280 lb center. But Larry before injuries is able to hold his own defensively against 2-4 and sometimes even the 5. And has one of the deepest bags in history, he can go for 40 anytime he wants to no matter who's guarding him, and he is gonna tell you what he is gonna do before he does it. His passing ability to me is unmatched at the small forward position, his shooting ability gives him more variety of passes he can make compared to a guy like Lebron. Players have to get up close to Bird and throw off his rhythm and he just throws is behind his head for the pass regularly. Thats some God given shit, not just the strength control and coordination to make the pass but the 6'10 height to get it over the defender in the post. He also had a great ability to change his shot into a pass at the last second, he is undoubtedly top 10 and even tho there are some haters that dont think he could play in today's game, there are a lot of people that say he is top 3 ever and would dominate the modern NBA.

Magic & Larry have the highest win percentage for a career still. I’m a Showtime fan and Magic is my favorite player however Bird was the best player in the 80’s. Magic had Kareem another Goat contender. Machale was slightly better than Worthy but after that the Lakers had talent advantage. The 88 Finals the Celtics big 3 all had injuries from the Bad Boys series.
Bird founded the 50/40/90 club and repeat member.

Magic and the Lakers had a 2-1 record over Bird and the Celtics in the finals and Magic also beat Larry in the NCAA championship. So their head to head championship record is 3-1 Magic.
They were both asked who was the better player on the David Letterman show. Bird said he always judged it by success so his answer was Magic. Magic said that Larry could do more than he could so his answer was Larry. You can find that video on TH-cam which I highly recommend you react to, it's a great interview.

He averaged double digit rebounds along with the 20 points a game. There was a lot of trash talking and physical play. You have to embrace the physicality or you could not be on the floor. Bird was the better all around player, but Magic got more rings 5-3.

He is a trash talker, kinda..
U have no idea how much Bird talked ish bro... look into it.. he is the GOAT trash talker..
Bird in his prime was a around 27 ppg, 10 rebs per (when Big star centers ruled the nba). All at a 50/40/90 clip. Founding member of 50/40/90 also.. think he was around 24 ppg for his career
