    Went past it many times seeing people working on it when I used to live near Lichfield, it will be lovely to see it finished one day.

      Lived in Lichfield from 1977 until 2013. Enjoyed Fradley junction and Barton Marina walks, but unaware of your fantastic enterprise until recently. Much to applaud. Bon chance

    Fascinating! One question: When a newish road has a wide strip alongside with the fence set back and cleared of trees and other stuff as at 5:15 its often because they intend to dual the road in the future. Was that the case here? And if so, how did you persuade them to let you turn it into a canal instead? 🙂

      The route of the canal is protected, so that grass verge is there ready for us to build the canal.

    Brilliant fly over but OMFG!!! what a lot of distruction to bring back an canal that never made money. This will be a great return and the social impact will make this worth the cost to the people of Linchfield. Best of luck, well presented ecological arguement.

    What’s the estimated toile on completion of the link? Great work so far++++

      Do you mean time for completion? Unfortunately with limited ‘regular’ income, it’s impossible to answer that. You can find out more about it on our FAQ page: www.lhcrt.org.uk/faq.html

    Great video. The flyover style with the captions makes it easy to picture, especially for people who aren’t familiar with the locality. Could I ask who did the graphics or what you used to do the scrolling seamless look ?

      The only addition to the video I'd like to have seen was a colored line indicating the route, where it's not obvious (heck, even if it is). ;-)

    Can I ask, am I right in saying that the aquduct over the M6 toll is called the David Sushey Viaduct? (Sorry about my spelling)

    • @LHCRT
      @LHCRT  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry I missed your comment until now! Yes, it is the David Suchet aqueduct.

    Who wants HS2?

      8:26 Interesting seeing mention of HS2. They could fund the entire restoration with their small change. In fact they could fund every canal restoration project in the country just on the value of HS2 costing miscalculations.
