@Remgames I would like to tell you I love your theory and I'd like to say some of what my theorist senses (game/film theory joke sorry they were my gateway unto theorizing) are yelling at me. First I think back to what you said about the souls that talked to Stanford and while u think Bill had more control due to what he drank from the "eye doctor" from your last video I think Bill has less control now due to his form we see in the Theraprism a glitch like tear streaming down his body. I also believe that the Axoltol is the one who wrote the cipher in the silly straw section because A. So far that's the only cipher that hasn't been addressed on who wrote it (unless I just missed that) and each one rhymes which we know the Axolotl speaks in.
his fear of 3d glasses could be related to his parents. "well well well being" also shows that in art therapy, he only draws red and blue triangles. 3d glasses are typically red and blue.
I mean it could be, but that refers to one type of 3D glasses, and well 3D glasses could also represent what he wanted to do, but got his universe killed make a flat image appear tridimensional show his world the truth, the very concept of 3D glasses is a reminder of his original crime. Or just the anaglyphic 3D glasses reminding him of his parents works too.
Worth noting: 3D glasses work by filtering out red and blue colours. By doing so, the image goes from 2D to 3D Which is a pretty apt metaphor for what Bill did. He tried to make the 2D into 3D, and in doing so sacrificed his red and blue parents.
Remember bill when he's fragmented? He has cracks filled with static. The dead parents look like full static. The scientists observed his blood was strange and silver with multiple colors at the edges like liquid static. Just a theory, let me break your brain further :)
It could be something that’s naturally part of him (and maybe his species) being 2 dimensional and made of energy? So their form being static means permanent damage or something? May also be part of him being a dream demon of sorts? Or both? Idk, but it’s a fun thing to think about.😅
The color cipher being the Euclydean language just makes sense. Think about it, in a two-dimensional world, any being would only be able to see in one dimension. (essentially just a line) They wouldn't be able to read any kind of alphabet, but at the very least, they can differentiate colors. Alex Hirsch is a genius.
Even if they cant drawn shapes they can store information and words by using lines of colors. Thats actualy very clever. But it means that if you wanted to make sentences you would need to do so in a single line.
If you look at bill after Stan punched him to death he has glitch cracks on him. I think the reason that the souls are “leaking” more is because of his injuries- he used to have more control over them hence the souls only being able to communicate with Ford through his dream (and only once at that). Now that Bill is injured and the Theraprism is trying to bring up Bill’s past, he is losing control over the souls at a rapid rate! Of course this is just my theory lol~
Also something heartbreaking is that, with all that's happened, when you're pretty sure it's his mom that is talking in color cipher she's sharing silly facts about her son, after a trillion years of endless wandering and torture
My favorite detail is when he called him a "one eyed freak" gaining his immediate attention basically grabbing his deformity and smashing it on his head before he got sacked

4:37 According to Alex Hirsch, this specific line was a remnant of when Bill was supposed to be a minor antagonist. More specifically, the original idea was that Bill would invade Dipper's dreams to scream incredibly nonsensical conspiracy theories at him like "46, 27, 38! Look out for deer! Have you ever noticed the ingredients in soda? Oranges are gonna give you super powers! BYE!" and then Dipper would wake up, believing all that complete jargon as part of the Mystery of Gravity Falls.
@@AshNRoses4409 They knew that the show would end in some sort of apocalypse, but they didn't know how or who would cause it. Bill was originally going to be a one off, or at least minor antagonist. You can kind of see this a bit if you go back to that episode. He's strong and dangerous, but Gideon is clearly depicted as the bigger, more actively malicious threat. Hence why he has all the "power" in their deal, and calls Bill his "new minion" toward the start. Even the ending doesn't allude toward Bill returning in any kind of major way (aside from the idea that he'd be "watching" in the background). Instead he shows a six fingered hand building up towards "Not What He Seems," rather than Weirdmageddon. Even the Zodiac in the credits was likely just foreshadowing foreshadowing the S1 finale, and perhaps alluding to Bill's place in the larger mythos.
Honestly I can’t really see the show without bill being the villain so I wonder who would have replaced him in the finale as the main antagonist (Gideon maybe? Although it’s a bit of a stretch to have him start the apocalypse)
On one page of the book where bill gets drunk in a bar and wrecks everything, he takes the phone away from a server. He thinks he’s calling his mom, ACTIVELY SAYING something similar to „Hi Mommy, it’s me Billy!“ Bill is only called ‚Billy‘ by his Mother; aka Scalene is actively trying to reach out to us! Your theory checks out!
I wanna add this cause you seemed to be a bit lost on why the people of Euclidiya can speak to Bill through the static. For people who are ghost-hunting fanatics (I'm not but I watch them), there is a device known as a "Spirit Box". The purpose of this device is to allow the user to listen to the deceased who are nearby and respond to any questions they may have. How this works is by connecting to multiple radio stations and then flipping through them super fast. By hastily switching through the stations, the ghost can slowly take bits of the sentences said on air to formulate words to speak with. (Kinda like how Bumble Bee from Transformers does it.) The science behind it is that ghost hunters theorize that spirits have the ability to manipulate electromagnetic energies, like the ones shared on radiowaves. Thus they must be able to manipulate the sound bytes transferred through radio signals. Perhaps this is what is happening to Bill. The ghosts around him are able to speak to him by flipping through channels so they can make sentences of whatever garbled mess the static produces. This is why they sound so robotic, they're using shrill little zips and zaps to create speech synthesis. Kinda like some messed-up version of The Atari Entertainment system. Hope this helps in some way, somehow.
The color codes make me think that Bills species communicate like cuttlefish- flicking between Colors to make words. We know Bill is capable of it thanks to Dream Scapers
22:30 As soon as I heard this, it immediately reminded me of when Bill got defeated in Stan’s mind. He was glitching and losing control of his form and even looked down at his hands with concern. I feel as if these trapped/lost souls helped Stan to defeat him by making him glitch and spazz out. I absolutely loVe this video and this theory! UGH- We are so back!

When he says "I know lots of things" to Gideon he flips through a bunch of images that are overlayed with static. Then a minute later when Gideon mentions Stanford Pines, Bill flips between pure static and images related to Stan. Another (admittedly weak) connection is that Bill's actual first appearance was always in that frame we see of him at the end of the intro sequence which you could consider a "TV glitch" which links to your theory.
gravity falls was my life. i watched it when i was a teen and i have been obsessed with the plot. later i discovered its usage of codes and i fell in love with it even more. i am currently letting my son to watch it as well, he absolutely loves the show as well. like father like son.
The first time I watched gravity falls was just last year. Thought it was a good show and moved on. But with the fandom back I rewatched it and it has taken over my life. I absolutely love this show.
When the poem mentions appearing on the left after going right and top to bottom, it might actually be related to *non*-euclidean geometry. In a space which isn't euclidean (for example, spherecal geometry) it is possible that no matter which direction you go, you'll always come back to your starting point. Also, geometries like spherical geometry can have a limited amount of space even though they don't have bounds, which might be related to "loved ones will be ever near".
Positively curved space doesn't have a limited amount of space, it just kind of has less space per space. It still can go on infinitely though. I get what you're saying, and universes like the one you're describing exist, specifically toroidal or spherical geometries, but it's not a property of positively curved space itself.
The valley of ashes is a great gatsby reference. I havent found anything directly confirming it, but I feel almost certain that the eye doctor that caused bills meltdown was called Dr. TJ Eckleburg, and that he represents ignorance and normality in some way that is greater than just euclidya. The society of the blind eye leading back to euclidya makes me think that he is still out there im some form or another, and is influencing the world of gravity falls.
I’ve been loving the Book of Bill/the website. It’s done so much for Bill’s character. Like he’s still threat, no one besides the axolotl is more powerful than him, but I love how much they took the piss out of him I love how he tries to jumpscare you when you call him a dorito The pines family while warning people of him dont take him as seriously anymore I LOVE how he loathes that Stanley beat him and has outbursts I love how he tells us that everyone lies to themselves enough that they’ll believe whatever but it implies Bill is lying to himself
Idk if this is stupid but it kinda makes sense to me that Euclydia was like an old TV show/universe. The thing of too far to the left and youll come out to the right. It sounds like a 2d tv show; if they step off frame they come out the other side. Also his parents and their voices being static feels like theyre 'not on air' anymore. After killing his tv show universe he moved to others like Gravity falls, owl house, etc.

The doctor notes on silly straws could be referencing Bill’s “mutation” to see the third dimension, so Bill had to take three sips of the medicine to “blind” him of that dimension.
Devoured probably is what makes sense in the part where he’s like “I still see through the eyes of everyone I’ve ever devoured”. Plus there is a part of the website where there is a gilimpse of the stomach of a god that is basically a labyrinth. Bill is pretty god-like.
Also in TBOB didn't he tell Ford that the monster who destroyed his dimension would "eat [Ford] alive" ? I don't think he was being purely metaphorical
My theory is its something along the lines of "made a deal with". Bill can only access people's minds if they're asleep, but with the code IMSTILLONYOURMIND, we see a clip of whom appear to be Stanley (probably not Ford because of that metal plate) in the Stan O' War II, but of course, he's awake. Another point is, if he's "devoured" these people, then what is he seeing? His own stomach?
If you say “scary” in the website it has an audio book which is an obvious satire to goosebumps called “spookemups” and it’s just a play on Goosebumps where every chapter the character screams “IT WAS BILL” and the next chapter is entitled “it was not bill”
When you sell your soul to bill using the code naitsuaf, you can hear the voices of the dead euclideans. Like the other victims in Journal 3 you can use some of his “powers”? When you sell your soul to him maybe he has to give a little bit of his soul to you?
5:00 Sometimes, but I don't think always. If you put "sorry", it shows you a letter from McGucket talking about the first time he met Stanford. If it was Bill, then that wouldn't make sense. I think most of the time it's Bill who we're talking to in that website, but not all the time.
I think he hacked McGucket's computer, but since it still is McGucket's computer, it will still have McGuckets stuff (Bill got some robot to be there controlled by the visitor of the website, and he recorded it so we could see the stuff)

It doesn't make sense why putting "sorry" in the computer shows a picture of Ford and McGucket unless it was from Ford and not Bill. It makes it's from Ford since we see he still feels guilty over what his actions did to McGucket in Weirdmaggedon.
Just to help with the time baby thing, since time, baby he’s a time traveler once 1000 years is up he can travel to anytime, so theoretically, you can never kill him because he always is existing at some point in time and can time travel to the point where he dies over and over and over again, so the conversation between him and bill could be after the show ended
Headcanon: it could be after Bill got shattered and before Bill got sent to therapy. The pic without the crack is just how Bill pictured it. So, they were both in a void outside time and space.
i think that the reason bill cannot control the souls (anymore) is because of how he was defeated we can still see the damage from stanleys punch on him in the book
I don’t know if anyone mentioned this but the static part makes sense to me since in the video where you can see his parents as static, you can directly connect it to how bill has some fractures (IIRC) in the form of static at the end of his book when he is shown in the theraprism
The god is the axolotl and bill is making deals with him so thats the reason for the bill and axolotl and the jumpscare is most likeley bill begging for someone to help him.
Dang. This points to Bill devouring his family, and his whole dimension, for power. Hence the very heavy emphasize on calling Bill a "murderer" for what happened to Euclydia. Plus the word "mandibles" in TBOB regarding the event had horrific implications.
@@RemGames I think it was an accident. Bill was showing them the 3rd dimension through some means, someone apprehended him, he got intense, lost control, and ended up killing some euclideans either via losing control of whatever he was using or shooting his magic by accident. The other euclideans ran away, Bill got angry because he thought they were shunning him, and then he began using his powers in a blind rage, kinda like how someone throws things or bangs tables when angry and isn't aware of how things are getting destroyed or people are getting hit by accident. For the dimensiom-eating, it goes two ways: 1. He ate them in his rage and only realized he killed them afterwards, or 2. After he calmed down, he realized he messed up big time and devoured them all as a both a cleanup and as a form of ego-stroking that he is indeed stronger and better than them and he will consume them as lesser beings. Of course, people will still think he's a murderer. They were definitely lots of innocent lives taken in that massacre. Besides, no sane being eats the dead bodies of his race as cleanup and ego-stroking.
I wonder if he figured out how to bend or fold the universe. But then that ripped splits and cracks in everyone, leading to pretty horrific deaths where they bleed out. It was said afterwards there was blood everywhere
Listen I’ve been wondering, bill could only “see” into the third dimension Not exactly move in it not travel to it Just see it The whole “sharing the third dimension” with his home plane has to have happened after he LEARNED how to travel to or exert some control over the third dimension. I’m pretty sure that Euclidians had the basic powers of communicating via minds but a lot of the more malicious powers that bill has, he must’ve learnt from whoever/Whatever he learnt the third dimension reality from. Pretty sure he was betrayed or taken advantage of when he tried to “share” the third dimension Whatever he took that knowledge from, tricked him into causing that accident. Which is why he’s snapped so magnificently and does the exact kind of trickery to everyone else he possesses. Which is also why the destruction of his plane is the only genuine regret/trauma that comes up in his long history of heinous crimes… he hadn’t meant to cause the destruction he had no real control over it?
I think the colour codes are just Bill’s repressed memories floating to the surface, or stuff that is otherwise floating in his subconscious. Bill is constantly battling his guilt, trying to repress and deny it, but he can’t keep it down. He glitches, and these little echoes of his past, voices and memories from Euclydia, from his parents, it all pushes through in the form of colour codes and static.
Honestly I noticed all of this but I didn't put it together like you did- I thought since Bill isn't well mentally his subconscious could take over and write those sentences, or warn people. Occam's razor. But what you say makes SO much sense -youre REALLY pulling a matpat here, extremely underrated video, I'll be following your every move from now on! We're going mad on the GF subreddit discord server and I think they could use watching your videos. I have some more theorizing for you: his phobia of the venetian blinds is thought to be cause bt the fact that he literally tried to "tilt" euclydia up to let his people see the "stars" he was seeing, thus making his (?)planet directly face their sun and setting everything on fire, like one of the hidden stastic audio says (which is also referenced in the show when his eye shows flames as he talks about his home dimension) . THis is supported by him showing something similar when he talks about his dimension in weirdmageddon, and by the visual trick you have to use to get t.j heckleburg - you have to *tilt* the book to see the tip. And what do you do if you want to see past venetian blinds? You have to tilt them between vertical and horizontal, or viceversa. Hope this helped!
I'd love a breakdown chart of languages, who grasps what languages, and to what degree they are related. This would likely be a metric to grasp timelines, and geography in a better way.

I noticed Euclydia is heavily associated with math. Bill cypher can turn 3 Dimensional and is even is detailed for a triangle. Euclydia may be a 2 dimensional world of math and shapes. Bill was born as more advanced shapes being more advanced math. He tried to show his dimension the 3rd dimension destroying it but by accident. Euclydia being very delicate in math was unable to handle the complexity of the 3rd dimension collapsing it. This is just my interpretation. In design of bill the fact he has a brick pattern on him also symbolizes he is made of other shapes like rectangles to make his triangle shape, in math shapes can be used to make other shapes. Bill in design and even by math and geometric standards was complex in nature.
Season 3's probably not legally possible cuz... Disney. But if you type in season 1 into the website you do get something interesting: "Season -1: Antigravity Falls" Perhaps a prequel about bill? Or heck even a spinoff?

You're wrong. There is up in 2D, jump, like Mario, or Castlevania; jump to far, and your out of bounds clipping will get you back into the 2D floor. What's not on 2D is depth. As a 2D world in a paper sheet or a T.V. Screen shouldn't ever reach out to the boundries from which we view the 2D plane. Bill was the only Euclydean with an eye, let alone, an eye aiming out into whatever is outside the plane.
I think because what his people thought "up" meant and Bill saying "up" were two different axis'. Bill wouldn't have any other way to communicate about the extra dimension.

one thing overlooked with time baby's death is that he is quite literally a TIME baby, so even if it takes 1000 years he can always wait that time, and head back into the past, although I also agree it probably wasn't him who wrote those messages

Yes. It's definitely the big crack after he got shattered. Think of him panicking as he was dying as someone panicking that he got hit and is now losing too much blood.
... You know, it just occurred to me that Bill's body is indeed very strange for a two-dimensional being. After all, he has that "strange eye" -- an eye that would be completely useless in a two dimensional world, as it's entirely surrounded by his own body. An eye that faces in a direction that doesn't exist -- the third dimension. Bill's power to see the third dimension is literally given to us in the way he's drawn!
(In fact it's a little strange that the doctors of Euclydia even realized that it *was* an eye, since the "eyes" they'd be used to would be some one-dimensional shape on their bodies' edges and it wouldn't be visible from the outside... I guess they have some equivalent of ultrasound + very good imaginations? I'm kind of impressed :p)
euclidia could be 2d like mario so there is an up and down and a left and right but there is no side to side that could be why it talks about going too far up and popping out of the ground edit: also what if when bill was in stan's mind and his eye tried to escape what if that was a soul trying to escape bill
He IS still evil tho. He lies to himself about how the destruction of his homeworld wasn't his fault and how he "liberated" it to the point that he seems to genuinely believe it. He refuses to admit his mistakes. In the book of bill, it was shown pretty clearly how manipulative and emotionally abusive he was towards Ford. Not to mention how selfish he is in general and everything else we see him do in the show and the book of bill. I don't think this new info about his backstory is meant to "woobify" him or justify his actions in any way. Just provide more context on how and why he is the way he is.
Like, at the end, it's made pretty clear that Bill is a horrible, broken, lonely, pathetic man that is desperate for attention. I don't think you're meant to sympathize with him much, if at all.
He's still an ass. Although it was an accident, Bill, instead of taking responsibility and maybe turning himself in or fixing the way he interacts with others, decides to befriend other awful people and destroy other dimensions. Yes, he feels guilt, but instead of learning from it, he runs from it and does all sorts of bad things. He's even difficult to talk to in therapy and it's only dawning upon him that he was wrong and HE COULD NOT HANDLE IT because this is the first time in a while he has been seriously confronted about his attitude and actions.
Another things, if you write disney it gives an answer so who ever is controlling the pc knows about our world and that would be another proof that bill is aware of our world
Static could also be screams because under the assumtion the color puzzles are the euclydian language its essentially the euclydian version of bashing your hands on a keyboard. Kind of a stretch but keyboard bashes are usually used to refer to laughing, anger intense emotion and desperation. Just like bills victims
15:05 Also to note something on the fear of 3D glasses - I don't think Bill had a fear of 3D. Technically he became 3D when he gained a physical form. Now, this COULD be a joke about the fact that he has one eye, and thus 3D glasses don't work for him. But another aspect that could either be another layer or just unintentional - the original form of 3D glasses had one red lens and one blue lens, which match up with what we know about the appearances of Euclid and Scalene. One red, one blue. It's possible that 3D glasses remind him of them.
I also like to think he's afraid of TV static because of the fact that his blood (as seen on his government file), and therefore most likely the blood of all Euclideans, *looks like static.* Also also. "Do you even fathom how much pain I'm-" just makes me so sad. Poor guy :(

If Alex voiced Hooty, and the souls bill has tortured can interact with us on the website, Bill did something or is doing something to Alex!
Now that I think about it, it’s very logical that euclideans would use the colour cipher as they wouldn’t be able to use 2 dimensional symbols to communicate. Also, euclidia’s 2 dimensions could be ‘left and right’ and ‘up and down’ and it doesn’t have depth. That’s why they can “jump”.
The euclidean massacre was basically bill ripping shapes off a page hence “rest in piece” from the previous episode, he could comprehend 3d because of his 3d eyes given from his red and blue parents so trying to tell 2d entities to “look up” would result in ripping off their plane of existence. Thus killing them because their body and minds can’t comprehend it because they don’t have 3d eye genes like bill.
Idk if this sounds stupid but bills parents were definitely royalties what I’m thinking is one of them is the guardian of that dimension and it’s been over 1000 years since bill destroyed his dimension so like it said the molecules form back in 1000 years for a guardian so scalene or one of his parents is alive
I don't think Bill's parents are guardians or alive. And I just think they're royalty. After all, the dimension is named Euclydia and Bill's dad is named Euclid. He definitely has to be the king. Rather, I think Bill consumed their souls after the tragic accident or whatever it was that destroyed Euclydia and some piece of the consciousness of these Euclydians lives, with the consciousness of Bill's parents being the most prominent because they've been significant figures in his life. "Why did you do it" in the website could be Bill's dad's consciousness speaking to Bill in the thought of "What would dad think if he saw all the things I have done?"

yk the color text being euclydean makes a lot of sense (im only like half why in the vid so they might say this) the way that WE read text is 2d, one layer lower then 3d which is where WE are. if you think about it makes sense that the way that 2d beings read text would be one color lines... which is what 1d consists of again being ONE LYER DOWN. maybe im wrong on this and it was just a new form of text so it wouldnt get mixed up but yk (if i said something wrong or dumb in this please let me know)

@Remgames I would like to tell you I love your theory and I'd like to say some of what my theorist senses (game/film theory joke sorry they were my gateway unto theorizing) are yelling at me. First I think back to what you said about the souls that talked to Stanford and while u think Bill had more control due to what he drank from the "eye doctor" from your last video I think Bill has less control now due to his form we see in the Theraprism a glitch like tear streaming down his body. I also believe that the Axoltol is the one who wrote the cipher in the silly straw section because A. So far that's the only cipher that hasn't been addressed on who wrote it (unless I just missed that) and each one rhymes which we know the Axolotl speaks in.
his fear of 3d glasses could be related to his parents. "well well well being" also shows that in art therapy, he only draws red and blue triangles. 3d glasses are typically red and blue.
I mean it could be, but that refers to one type of 3D glasses, and well 3D glasses could also represent what he wanted to do, but got his universe killed make a flat image appear tridimensional show his world the truth, the very concept of 3D glasses is a reminder of his original crime. Or just the anaglyphic 3D glasses reminding him of his parents works too.

Which is a pretty apt metaphor for what Bill did. He tried to make the 2D into 3D, and in doing so sacrificed his red and blue parents.
Remember bill when he's fragmented? He has cracks filled with static. The dead parents look like full static. The scientists observed his blood was strange and silver with multiple colors at the edges like liquid static. Just a theory, let me break your brain further :)

The color cipher being the Euclydean language just makes sense. Think about it, in a two-dimensional world, any being would only be able to see in one dimension. (essentially just a line) They wouldn't be able to read any kind of alphabet, but at the very least, they can differentiate colors. Alex Hirsch is a genius.

If you look at bill after Stan punched him to death he has glitch cracks on him. I think the reason that the souls are “leaking” more is because of his injuries- he used to have more control over them hence the souls only being able to communicate with Ford through his dream (and only once at that). Now that Bill is injured and the Theraprism is trying to bring up Bill’s past, he is losing control over the souls at a rapid rate!
Of course this is just my theory lol~
Also something heartbreaking is that, with all that's happened, when you're pretty sure it's his mom that is talking in color cipher she's sharing silly facts about her son, after a trillion years of endless wandering and torture

More specifically, the original idea was that Bill would invade Dipper's dreams to scream incredibly nonsensical conspiracy theories at him like "46, 27, 38! Look out for deer! Have you ever noticed the ingredients in soda? Oranges are gonna give you super powers! BYE!" and then Dipper would wake up, believing all that complete jargon as part of the Mystery of Gravity Falls.
Damn. The concept universe where Bill isn't the main bad guy feels wild. Did they have another ending in mind then?
@@AshNRoses4409 They knew that the show would end in some sort of apocalypse, but they didn't know how or who would cause it. Bill was originally going to be a one off, or at least minor antagonist.
You can kind of see this a bit if you go back to that episode. He's strong and dangerous, but Gideon is clearly depicted as the bigger, more actively malicious threat. Hence why he has all the "power" in their deal, and calls Bill his "new minion" toward the start. Even the ending doesn't allude toward Bill returning in any kind of major way (aside from the idea that he'd be "watching" in the background). Instead he shows a six fingered hand building up towards "Not What He Seems," rather than Weirdmageddon.
Even the Zodiac in the credits was likely just foreshadowing foreshadowing the S1 finale, and perhaps alluding to Bill's place in the larger mythos.
It wouldn’t surprise me if he did actually do that in the show itself to troll Dipper, but he never believed them so we never heard about any of them.
Honestly I can’t really see the show without bill being the villain so I wonder who would have replaced him in the finale as the main antagonist (Gideon maybe? Although it’s a bit of a stretch to have him start the apocalypse)
On one page of the book where bill gets drunk in a bar and wrecks everything, he takes the phone away from a server. He thinks he’s calling his mom, ACTIVELY SAYING something similar to „Hi Mommy, it’s me Billy!“ Bill is only called ‚Billy‘ by his Mother; aka Scalene is actively trying to reach out to us!

I wanna add this cause you seemed to be a bit lost on why the people of Euclidiya can speak to Bill through the static.
For people who are ghost-hunting fanatics (I'm not but I watch them), there is a device known as a "Spirit Box". The purpose of this device is to allow the user to listen to the deceased who are nearby and respond to any questions they may have.
How this works is by connecting to multiple radio stations and then flipping through them super fast. By hastily switching through the stations, the ghost can slowly take bits of the sentences said on air to formulate words to speak with.
(Kinda like how Bumble Bee from Transformers does it.)
The science behind it is that ghost hunters theorize that spirits have the ability to manipulate electromagnetic energies, like the ones shared on radiowaves. Thus they must be able to manipulate the sound bytes transferred through radio signals.
Perhaps this is what is happening to Bill. The ghosts around him are able to speak to him by flipping through channels so they can make sentences of whatever garbled mess the static produces. This is why they sound so robotic, they're using shrill little zips and zaps to create speech synthesis. Kinda like some messed-up version of The Atari Entertainment system.

The color codes make me think that Bills species communicate like cuttlefish- flicking between Colors to make words. We know Bill is capable of it thanks to Dream Scapers

When he says "I know lots of things" to Gideon he flips through a bunch of images that are overlayed with static. Then a minute later when Gideon mentions Stanford Pines, Bill flips between pure static and images related to Stan.
Another (admittedly weak) connection is that Bill's actual first appearance was always in that frame we see of him at the end of the intro sequence which you could consider a "TV glitch" which links to your theory.
gravity falls was my life. i watched it when i was a teen and i have been obsessed with the plot. later i discovered its usage of codes and i fell in love with it even more. i am currently letting my son to watch it as well, he absolutely loves the show as well. like father like son.

When the poem mentions appearing on the left after going right and top to bottom, it might actually be related to *non*-euclidean geometry. In a space which isn't euclidean (for example, spherecal geometry) it is possible that no matter which direction you go, you'll always come back to your starting point. Also, geometries like spherical geometry can have a limited amount of space even though they don't have bounds, which might be related to "loved ones will be ever near".
Positively curved space doesn't have a limited amount of space, it just kind of has less space per space. It still can go on infinitely though. I get what you're saying, and universes like the one you're describing exist, specifically toroidal or spherical geometries, but it's not a property of positively curved space itself.

The valley of ashes is a great gatsby reference. I havent found anything directly confirming it, but I feel almost certain that the eye doctor that caused bills meltdown was called Dr. TJ Eckleburg, and that he represents ignorance and normality in some way that is greater than just euclidya. The society of the blind eye leading back to euclidya makes me think that he is still out there im some form or another, and is influencing the world of gravity falls.

It sounds like a 2d tv show; if they step off frame they come out the other side. Also his parents and their voices being static feels like theyre 'not on air' anymore. After killing his tv show universe he moved to others like Gravity falls, owl house, etc.

The doctor notes on silly straws could be referencing Bill’s “mutation” to see the third dimension, so Bill had to take three sips of the medicine to “blind” him of that dimension.

My theory is its something along the lines of "made a deal with". Bill can only access people's minds if they're asleep, but with the code IMSTILLONYOURMIND, we see a clip of whom appear to be Stanley (probably not Ford because of that metal plate) in the Stan O' War II, but of course, he's awake.
Another point is, if he's "devoured" these people, then what is he seeing? His own stomach?

I think he hacked McGucket's computer, but since it still is McGucket's computer, it will still have McGuckets stuff (Bill got some robot to be there controlled by the visitor of the website, and he recorded it so we could see the stuff)

Headcanon: it could be after Bill got shattered and before Bill got sent to therapy. The pic without the crack is just how Bill pictured it. So, they were both in a void outside time and space.

Dang. This points to Bill devouring his family, and his whole dimension, for power. Hence the very heavy emphasize on calling Bill a "murderer" for what happened to Euclydia. Plus the word "mandibles" in TBOB regarding the event had horrific implications.
The massacre is either a horrifying and devastating accident, or a maliciously vile planned mass homicide. What great options there Bill…

Bill was showing them the 3rd dimension through some means, someone apprehended him, he got intense, lost control, and ended up killing some euclideans either via losing control of whatever he was using or shooting his magic by accident. The other euclideans ran away, Bill got angry because he thought they were shunning him, and then he began using his powers in a blind rage, kinda like how someone throws things or bangs tables when angry and isn't aware of how things are getting destroyed or people are getting hit by accident. For the dimensiom-eating, it goes two ways: 1. He ate them in his rage and only realized he killed them afterwards, or 2. After he calmed down, he realized he messed up big time and devoured them all as a both a cleanup and as a form of ego-stroking that he is indeed stronger and better than them and he will consume them as lesser beings.
Of course, people will still think he's a murderer. They were definitely lots of innocent lives taken in that massacre. Besides, no sane being eats the dead bodies of his race as cleanup and ego-stroking.
I wonder if he figured out how to bend or fold the universe. But then that ripped splits and cracks in everyone, leading to pretty horrific deaths where they bleed out. It was said afterwards there was blood everywhere

I’m pretty sure that Euclidians had the basic powers of communicating via minds but a lot of the more malicious powers that bill has, he must’ve learnt from whoever/Whatever he learnt the third dimension reality from.
Pretty sure he was betrayed or taken advantage of when he tried to “share” the third dimension
Whatever he took that knowledge from, tricked him into causing that accident. Which is why he’s snapped so magnificently and does the exact kind of trickery to everyone else he possesses.
Which is also why the destruction of his plane is the only genuine regret/trauma that comes up in his long history of heinous crimes… he hadn’t meant to cause the destruction he had no real control over it?
I think the colour codes are just Bill’s repressed memories floating to the surface, or stuff that is otherwise floating in his subconscious.
Bill is constantly battling his guilt, trying to repress and deny it, but he can’t keep it down. He glitches, and these little echoes of his past, voices and memories from Euclydia, from his parents, it all pushes through in the form of colour codes and static.
Honestly I noticed all of this but I didn't put it together like you did- I thought since Bill isn't well mentally his subconscious could take over and write those sentences, or warn people. Occam's razor. But what you say makes SO much sense -youre REALLY pulling a matpat here, extremely underrated video, I'll be following your every move from now on! We're going mad on the GF subreddit discord server and I think they could use watching your videos.
I have some more theorizing for you: his phobia of the venetian blinds is thought to be cause bt the fact that he literally tried to "tilt" euclydia up to let his people see the "stars" he was seeing, thus making his (?)planet directly face their sun and setting everything on fire, like one of the hidden stastic audio says (which is also referenced in the show when his eye shows flames as he talks about his home dimension)
. THis is supported by him showing something similar when he talks about his dimension in weirdmageddon, and by the visual trick you have to use to get t.j heckleburg - you have to *tilt* the book to see the tip. And what do you do if you want to see past venetian blinds? You have to tilt them between vertical and horizontal, or viceversa. Hope this helped!

I noticed Euclydia is heavily associated with math. Bill cypher can turn 3 Dimensional and is even is detailed for a triangle. Euclydia may be a 2 dimensional world of math and shapes. Bill was born as more advanced shapes being more advanced math. He tried to show his dimension the 3rd dimension destroying it but by accident. Euclydia being very delicate in math was unable to handle the complexity of the 3rd dimension collapsing it. This is just my interpretation. In design of bill the fact he has a brick pattern on him also symbolizes he is made of other shapes like rectangles to make his triangle shape, in math shapes can be used to make other shapes. Bill in design and even by math and geometric standards was complex in nature.
I hope with all my heart that this is teasing a season 3.

Yes. It's definitely the big crack after he got shattered. Think of him panicking as he was dying as someone panicking that he got hit and is now losing too much blood.
... You know, it just occurred to me that Bill's body is indeed very strange for a two-dimensional being. After all, he has that "strange eye" -- an eye that would be completely useless in a two dimensional world, as it's entirely surrounded by his own body. An eye that faces in a direction that doesn't exist -- the third dimension. Bill's power to see the third dimension is literally given to us in the way he's drawn!
(In fact it's a little strange that the doctors of Euclydia even realized that it *was* an eye, since the "eyes" they'd be used to would be some one-dimensional shape on their bodies' edges and it wouldn't be visible from the outside... I guess they have some equivalent of ultrasound + very good imaginations? I'm kind of impressed :p)

I feel like Bill destroying his dimension by accident and feeling guilt over it kind of ruins his character. He's supposed to be evil.
He IS still evil tho. He lies to himself about how the destruction of his homeworld wasn't his fault and how he "liberated" it to the point that he seems to genuinely believe it. He refuses to admit his mistakes. In the book of bill, it was shown pretty clearly how manipulative and emotionally abusive he was towards Ford. Not to mention how selfish he is in general and everything else we see him do in the show and the book of bill.
I don't think this new info about his backstory is meant to "woobify" him or justify his actions in any way. Just provide more context on how and why he is the way he is.
Not to mention this implies that Bill devoured his parents for power. Eating your family is still evil in my book.
Like, at the end, it's made pretty clear that Bill is a horrible, broken, lonely, pathetic man that is desperate for attention. I don't think you're meant to sympathize with him much, if at all.
He's still an ass. Although it was an accident, Bill, instead of taking responsibility and maybe turning himself in or fixing the way he interacts with others, decides to befriend other awful people and destroy other dimensions. Yes, he feels guilt, but instead of learning from it, he runs from it and does all sorts of bad things. He's even difficult to talk to in therapy and it's only dawning upon him that he was wrong and HE COULD NOT HANDLE IT because this is the first time in a while he has been seriously confronted about his attitude and actions.

15:05 Also to note something on the fear of 3D glasses - I don't think Bill had a fear of 3D. Technically he became 3D when he gained a physical form. Now, this COULD be a joke about the fact that he has one eye, and thus 3D glasses don't work for him.
But another aspect that could either be another layer or just unintentional - the original form of 3D glasses had one red lens and one blue lens, which match up with what we know about the appearances of Euclid and Scalene. One red, one blue. It's possible that 3D glasses remind him of them.

hold on, this is really confusing. if euclydia is like pac-man, it has the same geometric properties as a torus, which isn’t euclidean
Now that I think about it, it’s very logical that euclideans would use the colour cipher as they wouldn’t be able to use 2 dimensional symbols to communicate.
Also, euclidia’s 2 dimensions could be ‘left and right’ and ‘up and down’ and it doesn’t have depth. That’s why they can “jump”.
The euclidean massacre was basically bill ripping shapes off a page hence “rest in piece” from the previous episode, he could comprehend 3d because of his 3d eyes given from his red and blue parents so trying to tell 2d entities to “look up” would result in ripping off their plane of existence. Thus killing them because their body and minds can’t comprehend it because they don’t have 3d eye genes like bill.

I don't think Bill's parents are guardians or alive. And I just think they're royalty. After all, the dimension is named Euclydia and Bill's dad is named Euclid. He definitely has to be the king. Rather, I think Bill consumed their souls after the tragic accident or whatever it was that destroyed Euclydia and some piece of the consciousness of these Euclydians lives, with the consciousness of Bill's parents being the most prominent because they've been significant figures in his life. "Why did you do it" in the website could be Bill's dad's consciousness speaking to Bill in the thought of "What would dad think if he saw all the things I have done?"
