I have all the Primateks in half pans; I just add a drop of water and let it sit for a minute and they're ready to go. The Bloodstone Genuine is a black with reddish undertones.
So relaxing to watch you swatch all these beautifull colors! Bloodstone is a great alternative for mars black or lunar black, a bit warmer and granulates the same.
I love love love Piemontite! I must admit that I ordered Burnt Bronzite and Fuchsite after watching the video where you mixed various Primatek colors with each other. I really want them all even though I certainly do not NEED them all. Can’t even say I know what I would use some of them for - Zoisite for example - but I feel the need to have them available whenever I want. I wonder if this is a common feeling when you are new to watercolor painting. You get exposed to a new color and then you WANT IT!
I think even if you have been painting for years the feeling remains the same! :)) I tend to do that also with other art supplies, sometimes it takes me a year to eventually discover how it works in a certain way or project. :)
This is awesome! Thank you for this, I've been considering trying this paints but was scared because they are expensive and I didnt wanted to buy a color that i may not like that much... I've never heard of this dots before, so i might try them this way! Thank you once more
Has anyone else experienced Garnet Genuine smelling like moth balls? Mine smells so strong I can’t stand to use it because it makes me sick (strong smells trigger migraines unfortunately). It’s so strange.
I haven’t noticed much smell from that dot, but it could be because it’s dry paint. Having said that in my Daniel Smith tin palette I have one or more maybe colours that smell so bad even years after squeezing it out every time I open the palette the smell is still strong. I need to stick my nose in every half pan to figure out which one it actually is. :)) But yes thank you for sharing, I can’t stand strong smells either! 👍🏼 :)
Absolutely no disrespect intended, but Utah is pronounced like You-Tah. Overall these are lovely colors, but it is a shame that there isn't a better way to sample them given how poorly a lot of the primatek paints rewet.

Rhodonite and Piemontite are often used favorites in my palette

Those are some pretty paints. I look forward to watching part two.
I love Rhodonite! I think I might have to get the Garnet.

Great samples, thanks so much for swatching for us! I love your notebook, can you tell us what kind it is?
Thanks, it’s linked in the description with all the info. :)
Just to mention you can buy them cheaper from the Ken Bromley online site.

Fellow sensitive person...you are most welcome! It might just be a bad batch? I am hoping more people will chime in. 🤔😉
