Hey bro, I got same bike but 2015. I have to extend my headlight wire and horn wire just about 2 inches for each. I have a tank lift and wire tuck done by a shop which is only thing I didn't do myself besides t bars too cuz anything with wires I hate doing cuz I suck at it. Do these wires have more slack under the tank and are they just tied down? Im praying cuz I really need to relocate my speedo and horn for my new fairing and headlight needs to be extended with block but it pulls headlight wire tight. I already got fairing on and took my old speedo/horn relocation kit off for a different one and putting my horn back to stock between frame but wire is too short. Can I get more slack from these wires under gas tank?
Honestly not much more slack. Sounds like you might need 2-3 inches more of slack and at least from my experience you might only be able to get one inch of slacked pulled from Under the tank. Unfortunately.
@@RadDadLife Oh dang man. Well I'm glad you gave me the heads up. I'm gonna lift the tank up tonight and see what I got going on under there cuz I took my dk custom speedo kit off anyway to put my new speedo kit on my fork and it was connectedto my tank lift bolt so while I got it loose ill just get under tank. My new "road warrior" knockoff fairing is giving me way more curveballs than I was expecting which always seems to be the case with everything I do on my bike. There is always something annoying blocking the way forward. Might just dump it on the shop to figure out for me if I can't get the slack needed. Thanks again man and btw, I friggen love your Iron! @@CantTreadOnMe yeah that’s why I went with the joker machine mount since it mounts to the fork stanchions. Trust me nothing ever goes quickly when you are working on your own bike lol. Good luck brother! And thank you. I plan on doing a few more small things but overall the bike is set to my liking.
