Very unrelated but I love the look of your studio. Photos, happy mothers day 2014(9?), and lots of books. If I live near you I'd love to have a lesson with you. For now, I'll be absorbing your videos

Absolutely loved this lesson! Going to try the Gu warm ups before I start with anything else in order to feel my vibration, airflow, and tongue placement!

Great explanation, though due to lack of feedback I found it difficult to understand correctly how the tongue is moving. I could feel it (but was it good?). maybe a picture would help me see/feel better what you mean. But for the rest I love this singing on a square millimeter.thanks!

Great idea to add a picture! In American English the inherent nature of the [g] will put the tongue in the correct position to make the sound for the warm-up. You can check in the mirror to observe the back of the tongue rising up to meet the soft palate. The tongue will drop slightly when it moves to create the [u] vowel. If you feel like you can create a [g] and [u] sound when speaking then it should be good while you are adding sound for this warm-up. Thanks for watching and for your suggestion! All the best!

Do you have a lesson on tongue trilling? I know it's a great tongue exercise for singing and there're thousands of video on how to do it, but all the videos explain only a limited aspect or technique of it, when many people still can't do so because the teachers themselves don't understand or even realize all the coordination, muscles and mechanisms needed for tongue trill to happen, thus not teaching it thoroughly, leading to most viewers feeling frustrated and not getting it.

Great idea! You are right. It is a great vocal warm-up and exercise and many people have difficulty rolling the tongue. I will definitely add that to my list of videos to make. Thank you so much!
