We need to give a lot of credit to the sound engineers & FoH, cause this sounds bloody excellent. So much detail and clarity in the mix, but you can still feel the weight and power of the orchestra.
Absolutely agree with you. What a perfect combination of sounds
PSB music has only gotten better over time. Congratulations!

I don't know what it is about this band but cranking this up brings tears to my eyes every time.
Its just very emotional.
Watched this live (on TV) and then borrowed the iPlayer soundtrack with Audacity, and have been listening to it regularly with all the other PSB stuff. So glad it's out officially now, and yes I did pre-order it months ago. Stunning.
Snap!
@@colmkavanagh460 and despite the YT compression, I'm sure there were a plethora of things I haven't heard before.
Wow! Thanks a lot for the opportunity to see this 😊
Now that is one of the best performances I've seen and heard in such a long time. I saw PSB live a few years ago and their ability to tell a story through their music is brilliant. Well done BBC
How does such a simple set of notes sound so fantastic!? Perfect!
BBC Sound Engineers at the top of their game.
Went to the immersive listening of this at the ICA today. Met them afterwards and they’re so humble. One of the most exciting bands out there for me.
Same here, it was immense, such a great way to experience the album and see the band!
So jelly
Wow
There are no words. Absolutely stunning. Well done, all.
Goodness, that ending, goosebumps...
So glad you reworked Lit Up, it’s my favourite song of yours and I didn’t think there’d be a better version than the live in Brixton one, hope it means it’ll reappear in your live shows!
Lucky enough to see these guys evolve since 2013, watching them live a few times up until 2021 bright magic tour. The music and live show has become something to behold with eera on vocals for a few tracks. The white suits, brass and all thay other good stuff. This concert is also awesome ❤
has a sound of Gabriels Bow in there at 38 mins approx.. love it.
I was lucky enough to get promming tickets for this and it's one of my all time favourite concerts. That ending gets me everytime.
This is outstanding. I can't wait to listen to it again!
❤🎉Thank you so much for this from a huge fan of both The BBC and PSB! 🇸🇪
The best......THE BEST thing I have EVER seen on TH-cam. Blew my mind.
I make sure to listen to this every single frigging day (minus the boring warbling at the beginning, sorry to say).
Googled to see if PBS were doing any concerts locally this year and blow me-tickets booked for October 2024. Can't bloody wait!!!!!! 😊
Concert starts at 9:43
Glorious. Just glorious. I don't know what it is about PSB's music, but so often it has the power to have me in bits. Chapeau.
I know PSB for nearly 10 years and I saw them in Cologne, Germany for the first time. They are very special ! If you want to hear 'new music', just take your time and listen.
I never understood, why they are not very popular in Germany. Maybe Germans don't like real good music ?! (lol)
But still I am hopeful to see you again ! Why don't you come over with the BBC Symphony Orchestra and play in the Elbphilharmonie ?!
Lots of love
Detlef from Frankfurt a.M. who never saw you there, just in Cologne, Mannheim, Wiesbaden...
Thank you for this wonderful gift to a remarkable institution. God only knows where we would be . . .
You know, I have been caught up of late in those "frustrations" you mentioned, but thank you for reminding me of what the BBC has been, still is in part, and could be again. Instead of turning off and away I shall continue to support in the hopes that, like all of us, we do better in the future than we have in the past.
Wow I now know that which I have missed, in my life, Thank you
Aye this is so good! Totally lives up to other songs like go etc ❤️ wow this is such an epic crazy awesome performance!
Ahhhh.......do we really require words to describe utter sublime perfection?
Magnificent concert ✨📻✨
Absolutely love this
Being temporarily in UK 🎉have watched & listened to the BBC broadcast proms every day and it gets better each listen. Glad I’ll b able to attend the rough trade on the 13th
Awesome
Very powerful. The BBC has it's faults, but this is a reminder of how important it is to those of us who live in Britain. It strives, and in most cases, achieves impartiaility and is still one of the best sources of factual news. Allied to this, it has produced groundbreaking and innovative programming that has kept us all entertained throughout our lifetimes. Long may it continue...
Loved PSB ever since I first heard them way back in 2012. Their genius continues.
Full. Of energy ✨️ love this group
Amazing.
Just stunning.
Can't wait!
Oh ny goodneaa.Thank you so muchly. Shear Genius.
Went to the Proms last week. An excellent experience. However, really wish I'd gone on the PSB night.
Making my 💙sing as always when I listen to you!
Without a doubt the best thing that you've done, and that's a pretty high bar already in my opinion.
My only complaint is that I wasn't able to be there at the time.
Here 🙌
Amazing 👏
What a fantastic song A Candle Which Will Not Be Put Out is
Got new headphones today, first tune I listened to was PSB. Amazing band/duo?/group? Whatever, they’re mint.
Fantastici, voi si che fate un ottimo servizio per le comunicazioni radiotelevisive!
Legend
🎉❤
🙏
What a sublime concert 👏👏👏
We must protect the BBC from political tampering ✊🏻✊🏼✊🏽✊🏾✊🏿
An incredible 'piece', orchestrated amazingly, and interpreted by the finest sight musicians in the world. I wonder if the BBC symph players gave any feedback to you guys, quite a unique piece even by their eclectic standards I would have thought?
I live for music - in my 50's now , but I did Saturday morning music school, wind band, swing band, youth orchestra, jazz, rock, metal, local orchestras, brass bands - and I appreciate the messages throughout this piece despite not being an avid 'spoken word' listener.
Of all the music platforms and stations that are available, I generally use 2 stations for my 'more variety' fix: BBC Radio 3, and BBC 6 Music. All the variety a human could ever need - unless you just desire a bit more Country!
I cant believe I missed this live....
P'tain! Real music, they are something...
The concert starts at 8:00

Any ideas on why when I watch this on a tv the picture flashes on and off for the whole performance but works fine on my phone. (Both android apps)
How can you out with a bang and not make a sound
👀
I really enjoy watching PSB videos but they are also in my opinion very sad as they often show how brilliant English people were in the past i can't help but think we English people are now a dying breed .
Oy. That Bb Bb C to B B C cadence,. Nothing cheap or mean.
It's almost like seeing the pink Floyd of today
The music is good but the BBC isn't.
Uhhhh… PSB is Pet Shop Boys. No shade, but show some respect.
