Ah, getting those PSB-generated goosebumps again. Also, if you if switch from Spotify to Qobuz, PSB get 10 times more royalties which brings them at least a bit closer to what they deserve. Plus you get better sound quality.

As much as I am looking forward to the CD, surely this video shows that a Bluray version is also needed?
Am I senile or did Willgoose tell us this would not be recorded on the night? My decrepitude or JWE’s little White Star lie no matter, we are all the better off for it. Hopefully will will see the spine tingling departure, again.
All recorded and it is released on TH-cam September 8th in its entirety - "As an aside, some of you may be wondering about the video and whether or not that'll be available - we've licensed that, too, and will be uploading it to TH-cam on release day to live there in perpetuity. Adding DVDs / Blu-ray discs to an already expensive-to-produce record didn't make much sense given limited take-up for those formats now, and USB keys / large download files were, similarly, too costly."
I don't remember but I'd be surprised if he did. They knew the whole thing would be on BBC iPlayer soon after
We knew it was being recorded but I'm pretty sure what I said was that we didn't know if we'd release it or not - plenty to work through on the licensing side before we even got to the question of whether or not it was good enough or whether there would be demand for it.
As for the video version - it's already a very expensive-to-produce release with 2 x LP and nice gatefold etc and adding a disc (which most people don't use) or a download / USB key would have added even more to the costs and made it prohibitive. We decided to pay the Beeb a fee to license it in perpetuity for YT so the whole thing will just live on here forever (or until Google's servers die).
