They didn’t skip the killer riff before the solo! Nice!
Yeah I was there it was awesome hearing that!
@@jonaseriksson8308 Badass!👍🏼👊🏼🤘🏼
They’ve been doing that this whole tour
@@jd0879 ok but they haven’t done it for the past tours
@@jonaseriksson8308 so? This would make sense on the Amsterdam video not 5 shows deep
In their 60's.......holy shit is all i can say......AMAZING!!!!!!
I was looking for the "guys in their 60's is mindblowing" and here it is
only Kirk is 60
only kirk is 60
james is in great shape!
This performance of Battery is fucking KILLER! I hope they release it on the official Metallica channel!
I really love how close he is to the fans, smiling, high-fiving, noding and truly being a part with the audience, thats pure Metallica dedication to their fans. Mr Hetfield what a great man he is! Few bands (if any?) show this much love and appreciation to their fans, you can really see it flowing through him! It's not fake or theatre!!
I mean he is the best metal front man off all time, expected.
How weird would this be, for most of us, to walk up to a crowd level stage and immediately go into Battery. Killing it!
Metallica on the album tours is really something else, They are playing Battery in their 60's and it sounds so fuckin good
This band Is my favorite! I saw them live when I was 15 on the Worldwired Tour at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee WI. They were AWESOME! LONG LIVE METALLICA!
One of the best views in the house ❤🏴
I love the security guy, just standing watching the show...Front Row Seats hahaha
Kirk at 60 finally becoming his virtuoso self again. What a resurgence
As always, amazing filming and thanks for sharing!
Great recording, right up by him!
sounds better than metallica's official recordings with autotune
They're still simply so very much appreciated and real and amazing stuff!!!;;. 🐝 been there for em forever since 1981!!!!! My late papa would have loved them!!! Heck yeah baby!!!!
I sure would like to have front row tickets like this. They are just too expensive to justify it for me. Thanks for the vid. What a great close up view. Awesome!
Much better sound here than out in the stands
Wait, so they added the killer rift now? MF GOD!
Awesome ! 🔥
thanks dude !!!!
Such a cool set up with the mics around the stage
They sound tight.
Hope they do this in Minneapolis
I remember this concert. I hung out with some friends and smoked some weed near Ullevi and heard that metallica started playing. We were pleasantly surprised
My Love for this old Stuff ❤
Fasten your seatbelt everybody.. hold on tight.. here comes the battery..
I think I saw you recording (with a cap) in another youtube video xD, thanks for the video!
to know the intro, that's cliffs bass!! really cool to feel a piece of his memory now almost 37 years after his death...05:10 one of the heaviest riffs in metal, it's just thrash at its best, that riff makes the song..James wrote all of battery himself, cliff got background vocals credits on the entire mop album, alot of ppl don't realize that, man it sure be nice to see cliff up there.
what was james playing at the end?
I'm not exactly sure what James is playing at the end. There are little hints of the Fixxxer riff in what he's playing but idk if that's what he was going for. I know they played Fuel after Battery at this show but he def wasn't playing Fuel. Question though.. what do you mean the intro is Cliff's bass? The song starts with just acoustic guitar. There's no bass in that section. Or are you just talking about when the heavy part comes in during the recorded intro?
If I'm not mistaken, Cliff didn't actually record any vocals for the MoP album. I've listened to the isolated vocal tracks. They're all James. He def did some backing vocals live though.
It's just the new live intro to Fuel before James shouts "Gimme fuel, gimme fire, gimme that which I desire". It's a M72 thing for that song.
BATTERY GOOOOO 🔥
🔥🔥
The video is cut right before "GIMME FUE GIMME FYE GIMMEWADAWADASA"
🤘
Bam!
Jaymes is beast AF!!!
metal is forged here!
James looking way fitter and better in that sleevo than when he had that insulin belly a few yrs back
He sobered up, that's why. Good for him
this was so heavy me and my friends started to act like maniacs
Whiplashh!!
yet there 50 years older than me and i cant even do battery that fast for 1 minute
3:26 pretty cool John Frusciante was there. (Bottom right blue battle jacket)
Queme quedo sin batery en el móvil!
That right hand 😮😮😮😮😮
Is it me, or is Lars missing kicks in places? The tempo here is faster than he usually plays now.
Lars plays the thrash beats with only single pedal so when he does doubles they're pretty quiet
@@ryanberghuis25 yup, and it also depends on the mic’ing by the drum tech, first few shows of the tour were much clearer on the drum sound
It was some kind of error with the mics, even when playing a solid beat. The mics didnt pick it up.
@@Epd3mik Well, in theory, when you listened and watched it live, you should have felt all the kicks in your chest)).
After all, I've been to metallica concerts twice. And the "deuces" that Lars plays with his foot and which are so often not heard on video from phones are heard and felt at concerts
Hes not missing kicks, his tech probably has a gate setup that is accidentally making it to where his kicks dont come through unless he slams the kick drum, because you notice its mainly on the faster parts. Its somewhat understandable since Lars slams the kick drums on normal/slower parts, but plays way lighter on the kick for faster beats, but the drum tech should of found a way to get around that problem.
Why was the crowd so quiet at the start? Was it that cold?
That girl doe’s awesome guitar solo
Hes a man
@@CrossintChampion16 a trans?
Oh ok, that explains a lot
Thank u!!!
@@weareparkerful no hes not trans he is a male human
Wow thanks for calling his solo awesome!
That lady in front of the camera
and no covid vaccines
jacket Ycrayn .
How come Metallica doesn't play the intro anymore
I don't think they've ever played it live. It requires 4 guitars. Kinda hard to play it live with only 2 guitarists.
kirk looks younger now some color in his hair.
This a new band?
No its old
@@CrossintChampion16dude how can u not tell he’s kidding u replied to his other comments too
That female security guard is so annoying. Great video
so shirtless what!? @0:21
Wouldn't pay for metallica unless pantera was on the ticket
james without autotune sounds great, metallica should know that instead of putting horrible autotune in their official youtube videos...
Why does it sound like Lars is only sometimes hitting his Kick, throughout this song? 🤔🤨 Weird!! during the fast parts, the kick is gone !! 😳 maybe it's just the recording 🤔😐 if you got a sub on your computer you'll really notice it.
Same Problem was with lux in Hamburg!
But it was not like this with ride for example.
And last time i ve heard something like that was hockenheim- same problem with one of his Drums.
Maybie a mic problem
Yellow shirt
Damn Lars isn’t using that kick pedal for shit 😂 only when he feels like it. Song sounds so empty.
Why nobody move here in Sweden? It is BATTERY men, you have to play your life here! In Paris we killed all our BATTERIESSSSSSSSSSSS... WAKE UPPPPP pretty little people it's METALLICAAAAAAAA
I've played Paris. It was certainly one of the gigs of all time.
there was smaller moshpits everywhere, this guy recorded towards the snakepit which was suprisingly calm and u can only see front row pretty much. this was an insane experience
el medio escupitajo de james que le llego al viejo de rojooo jahjahaja se iso el weon jahjjahajhaajhaja
That lady needs to move
Everything in this video is perfect except for that female security guard.she ruined it
Old farts..😅
I wonder how long it takes to assemble a stage like this
I say about day
A hot minute... that's for damned sure!
They don't anymore use the high stage where they could go under the stage and change clothes and equipment.
Джэймс - эталон 60 ти летнего деда, через месяц 60, ешки матрешки вот время летит , совсем недавно они были 20ти летними скромными ребятами
one observation is that they must feel older at this point, because a lot of songs have their intros played back from the sound booth, and only then with 30-60s gone do they pick it up. Also, I believe their shows are no longer 2 and half hours long, but closer to 2 hours.
