      relaxed and draped lines can work if they are tapered and the wrists, ankles, waist or neck. oversized clothes do not work well. I love tie wast pants with pleat or gathers and a tie at the waist and a taper at the ankles. soft fabric and sweaters and make the look more casual.

      Waist emphasis, soft materials and dainty accessories. I wear t shirts and denim shorts all the time but always tuck in my top, all my shirts are soft fabrics and ALWAYS wear some jewelry or hair accessories.

    I love these videos and get so much inspiration through all the examples shown. I just wish there were more examples of theatrical romantics getting the look ‘right’ as opposed to what’s ‘wrong’ with the styling. I feel like TR’s have a harder time making everyday outfits look glamorous and conservative.

    Great analyses!:) I really like your explanation why sth looks good and why not on Milla. I am also a TR and i can really relate to all the things you said for Milla. The problem I noticed when i try to pick up clothes for different looks is that it is actually much harder for me to pull of a casual look that still looks nice on me than to pull of a glamorous look. Glamorous look feels natural to me but when i want to look good in sth casual i have problems. Probably beacuse casual look for a TR still have to have some glamorous details in order to look OK on a TR at least that is what I noticed. I have to put a lot of thought to casual outfits if I want them to look OK on me. It a struggle, especially, because everything has to be fitted and in winter this is a great chalenge if you don't want to be cold when you go outside.
    It would be great if you did some video like Tips on how to pull of a casual look if you are a TR. Or maybe some tips and trics for TR casual looks.
    I noticed that makeup and jewelry help big time but still sometimes you just don't have a lot of time for makeup or maybe you don't feel like puting on all that make up. So, I have been wondering- do TR's really need to sacrifice all that time to get ready in order to look put together?
    Thanks:) Great content, btw:)

      YES to this. I’m a TR and casual looks (like, the pure jeans+t-shirt) give me a very unkempt appearance. My more casual / comfortable looks still involve either things like blazers or trousers, or more glam pieces like a particular top / blouse...something that might look more structured even if the fabric makes it actually comfortable.
      When I go for jeans and t-shirt, I have to opt for either some statement necklace or a belt. Makeup and earrings don’t really help, they make me look like I’m in full makeup but still in my pj, if that makes sense. I need something that “touches” the clothes, to make it look like a finished ensemble. It’s a bit of a nuisance, because I tend to stand out as more glamorous than others in relaxed settings, but if I dressed as casually as everybody else I’d actually look like I just rolled out of bed.

    • @pimaryy
      @pimaryy 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@warblerlo4361 I totally understand! I also noticed that if I put on casual clothes that would look more or less OK on others, I look very undone or, like you said, like I just rolled out of bed. Or maybe like i got my clothes at some charity organization.
      What bothers me is that sometimes i simply don't want to stand out or be the "glamorous girl" but since it is important to me to feel beautiful in clothes I simply have to give up on being "the casual girl" and be satisfied with the fact that I stand out even when I don't want to (which is most of the time). So, to conclude, i think the bad side of being a TR, if you want to look casual, is that you either stand out a bit or you look undone. But for more fancy events being a TR is simply great:). Simetimes I joke that I missed my profession. I should have been an opera singer and dressing for work would be much easier;).

    Hi there, great work. I like most of your comment, and I'm also a threatrical body. You're right at so many things, we're more confident when don't show too much our shoulders but neckline, but we look elegant and mature and can be gorgeous or look like a grown-up kids by how we dress. The best is wearing something high waist or emphasize your waist line, don't cover neckline to make the body more balance. We can look very flamboyant too and we feel quite confident and fun, playful in it.

    The more I watch those videos, the more I get fed up about exactly defining my type, I feel called towards a mix of flamboyant gamine and Teatrical romantic.
    I feel like a gamine bodywose but I can pull off TR styles (my face is very yin) as long as they’re not too romantic, which I avoid anyways.
    But I was wearing unstructured oversized dolman sweaters and stretched out jeans most days.
    So I can improve easily.
    I‘ll add more waist emphasis with cropped pieces or belts.
    And add more colors and color blocking because I would wear plain pieces with minimal detail.

    • @thealignedlover
      @thealignedlover  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You definitely don't need to define your type strongly or exactly to extract the useful and flattering bits :) I like to think of all of these as guidelines rather than hard, universal rules.

    3:01 I think also for fair skin, theatrical Romantics actually also for dark skin theatrical Romantics … nude lips don’t look as good… did I say red or pink would look better or something in that family anyway but nude lips look… or makes theatrical Romantics look a bit off.. I don’t know what it is, but I saw it and Selena Gomez as well 😅
    It looks okay, but not as good as a red or pink lip

      Theatrical romantic and soft gamine are very similar...the main difference is theatrical romantic is narrower, smaller, more delicate, their bones are smaller. Soft gamines are wider, their bones are wider and heavier.

      The hair should be one uniform color for TR. No highlights, no lowlights, no balayage, no faded colors....the shade needs to be uniform, glossy and rich (or bright for those with fair hair)....If one wishes to lighten or darken their hair, the resulting color should look realistic...it should not look unnatural or it can be too distracting (ie. The general rule is to not color more than 2 shades lighter or darker...but this also applies to most of the Kibbe types with slight variations).
