The chord progressions are so insane as compared to modern day music. Not to call out anyone or anything but it's beautiful

I had to play this piece for an exam and made me feel good with Bach despite very hard work -)

      @@tishsimonnet5376 hi
Sorry for having been so long to answer …
It was after six years of amateur piano training, three parts of the same suite were selected for the exam (there was also gigue and sarabande if I’m right) it was a bit difficult but a good lesson for playful melody hidden in very repetitive features.

Thank you for sharing all these awesome musical recitations, Paul. I am a Thai living in Bangkok and I just discovered that such an accomplished classical pianist like you also lives in Thailand. Emily is very lucky to be growing up in the environment you've built for her. I wish more Thai children could be exposed more to classical music and learn to appreciate it.

I whole heatedly second those feelings. I visited Tailand once. If I were ever to find myself there again, you bet, I'd try to look you up. I'm so inspiried by your artistry and the path you've chosen and how you've chosen to share it with others. I love the French suites and that allemande particularly. Thanks for not playing it too fast, though I know you could, and all the delightful ornamentation you added to it.

@@michaeltierra6388 well said about Mr. Barton's path, and I wish I had been fortunate to have been to Tailand.

@@michaeltierra6388 Not too fast?? It's a lot faster than I would have it; besides, you need a contrast between this movement and the following Courante.
But let's see what he does with the remaining movements. I studied this suite in my early teen years.
I'm particularly interested in how he orders the movements in the latter portion of the suite. For me, the last two movements should be Bourree/Gigue, although I'm certain that some might disagree.

I feel like pitch is higher?……..🤔Like when paul touches mi(E) but feels like fa(F) …..? am i feeling wrong? or it’s original specificity of bach’s music? Like clarinet plays different pitch ??
