There is a thrift store near me who separated into two stores; the regular store with thrift prices for people in need and a “boutique” thrift store next door with resellers’ items at much higher prices. That’s a great idea for a true charitable organization!
So, I went to a Deseret Industries in St. George, Utah and as I reached out and touched an item, a woman came up behind me and grabbed it out of my hand while yelling at her husband for putting it back on the shelf when she wanted it!!! Thrifting is getting dangerous these days!!! This is the same thrift store where people line up before it opens and then run to prearranged spots and load their cart with items for resale! What happened to donations for people who need financial help???
Funny how we all love certain decor and happily pass over other things. 🥰 I am a “reseller” (have a Booth in a Dallas Antique Mall), but I also enjoy finding gifts for others and sometimes myself. I hope I never annoy anyone while shopping. I really enjoy your finds. You have such an eye for things and what you can turn them into. 😍
What I do as a re-saler. As I shop I just go ahead and put the items in my shopping cart and after I’m done, I find a nice chair to check them on eBay so as not yo block the shopping of others. But I also shop for gifts for others and items foe my garden as well. I love your explanations of things.
13:40 glass cutting board looks like a silo to me. 14:40 is raffia. I am thrilled for you that you found two frogs. I haven't seen any in ages. I have three that have been passed down in my family. One has an odd shape and I've never seen another like it. One my grandfather gave me in an arrangement in a Stanley Coffee can in 1972 and I still have the frog and can. He loved growing vegetables and flowers. I treasure my frogs.
HELLO HELLO HELLO JULIE !!! I have missed you. Yes…slowing down is not easy when we are use to accomplishing much! But surgeries are behind me, hospital stays are behind me that I know about 😬 !!! 🙏🙏 Seeing is better…but waiting for the appt to get new glasses. Yes, Flower Frogs are expensive ! Probably because they have become popular. Nice finds and love the glass cutting board! Pray all is GOOD with my Texas family ! Love, hugs and prayers..🙏🙏❤️❤️🙏🙏
I used to be jealous of the Goodwills in your area because the prices were so good but l see they have caught up with my Goodwills. Some of those prices are ridiculous considering they pay nothing for their inventory. I do enjoy watching your videos and how you use your items.
Warren Kimble’s picture is a round barn. I love the flower frogs, but a lot of the buyers don’t like the clear glass one. The flower frogs with the spikes are popular to hold up old post cards, photographs and greeting cards. Have fun figuring out how you’ll used yours to display something. I’ve seen them used to display antique pens and antique marbles. ❤❤
I think that could be a red silo building on the glass cutting board... yes, it's raffia and great for many different kinds of crafts... awesome flower frogs find!! and yes, they are normally expensive and hard to find as a lot of ppl are collecting them now!
Julie, that's a barn in your picture. Round barns are common here in the Midwest. I love the hearts and like the idea of either making them into a garland or putting them in the green basket. Great haul ❤️
I love watching your videos to hear your voice and to feed my thrifting addiction. When I go thrifting now and I see something primitive, I find myself saying, "Oh, Julie would love that!"
I understand you Julie. Take it from this woman old enough to be your Mother...it's okay to slow down. People will come back. I come back because you're always so excited. I get that...I am that way, especially when I find something I've been looking for. Glad you found your flower frogs. I love the hearts. The colors you are wearing today, really look pretty on you. Hope your family is well. God Bless.
I use one green flower frog at Christmas for candy canes, and a clear one with heart lollipops for Valentine’s Day. The rest of the time I use one for my crochet hooks and another for markers on my desk. Fun trip. Thank you. 😊
Thanks for not being too much of a chatterbox and letting us just look around with you. Would definitely picked up the flying piggy bank. 😂!Thanks for the tips too.For your stuffed hearts ,try a wire coat hanger bent out to a circle, heart or diamond and arrange the hearts on it.
Hi Julie, great trip! I liked the bookends, the patchwork swan, the green picture frame at 4:50 and the red blanket. I look forward to seeing how you style the hearts. Pet Piper and Mimi for me and have a good week!
I pronounce that straw grassy stuff 'rah-fee-uh'. 😃 Julie, waiting and getting to see your videos is kinda like payday! Worth the wait!!Post a video when you can because you want to. It will better for everyone. Please show yourself some grace!! Blessings! 🤗
Great finds on the flower frogs! I have been lucky and have found several glass and metal flower frogs, I use one of them on my desk to hold pens and a metal one for a picture of my only child 😀 he is 30 now , but it's a picture when he was about 3 years old.
I would of snatched all of those braided mats in a heart beat. I use them all over my house. Kitchen, livingroom, bedroom top of refrigerator, fireplace mantal etc. When a doilies aren't the fit they are. Thank you for the videos I look forward watching them. Thank you for taking time to do them. I completely understand slowing down n doing what is important n not wanting to be rush or miss out on family time. So enjoy we can wait. 🧡
I need to buy flowerpots to start planting inside house. I love the stuffed duck so adorable. My husband loves the Rooster cookie jar. I also love the frame with the pink delicate rose. My husband saw it and said, "You have that frame and flower." is similar. I have it in my main bathroom upstairs. The hearts you bought are adorable. Great finds. I always give you video a like. Sweet dream Julie 🥰🌺🌺
Julie, love your haul. Great find and price on the flower frogs, It’s awesome to see you get excited about finding a treasure you’ve been waiting for 😊. Love your channel and your heart, truly genuine and it shows I could watch you everyday. Do your channel and what works for you we’ll be right here. 💜💜💜
I think that is a silo on the cutting board. I really loved the frogs. The hearts are really cute. They are not an over the top gaudy if you know what I mean. They can be used many ways. I personally do not like wood heart cut outs but that’s just me! Lol! Great haul. Enjoyed the video
Julie, I expect you to make the things important to you like your family, friends, community and God first. I will ALWAYS watch your videos no matter how you put them out. I’ve watched long enough to know how truly genuine your heart is.
That cross stitch scroll frame would’ve been put in my basket. The flower frogs are neat. I have several Southern Living flower vases with frog lids that I have found thrifting.
Great finds! I happened to go thrifting today and found a beautiful vintage chenille coverlet for my bed that reminded me of my grandmother's home when I was a little girl. Also a large doily like coverlet for a bed too! Score! Holding out to find nice fabric for a quilted shower curtain like you have.
The warren Kimble print looks like a round barn. There is a few old round barns in our area and they look like that with the windows and door. The bottle is Vintage Re Umberto/Peer Amid Bottles Clear Glass Olive Oil Bottle--Circa 1920s
I love warren Kimble too !!! I love the pin holder and lil bottle !! I’ve never heard then being called flower frogs ?? I love them too !! Thanh’s for sharing!!
Oops, hit wrong button. What I wanted to say is that I really like the metal flower frogs. I have never seen any in the wild. Last year's I bought two of the metal flower frogs d both of the ladies sold them with vintage postcards. I was thrilled to get them. Look forward to your next video.
Great post😃! Kimball’s pic is a round barn…they have a history in this country! (A friend of mine, Lowell Soike, wrote a book about Iowa round barns). Pictures of them are special, because few round barns have been maintained…
Hi Julie..first love your cap, shirt and I think cardigan. I love what you got, especially the basket, the hearts you will use in a garland, the cutting board, and yes to flower frogs. I think I accidentally threw away a while bag of them I bought at an estate sale. I do have one glass one like that left. I kept thinking I want those little marble like birds. My husband would feed the birds in the winter if we had to starve so we collect birds and those were so pretty. Your GW is nice and not bad prices. I loved the Portugal white pot. Our GW will have comforters and curtains etc in the pkg and be priced more than Macys...ridiculous. Thanks..enjoyed this.♡♡♡♡
I have flower frogs that belong to my grandmother and I have them displayed in one of her little small silver dishes that has a handle. It's probably a candy dish. So glad you found them and I look forward to an extra video!! And I am glad you want to keep it real. That's what I enjoy about the people I watch on TH-cam. Garden answer, white cottage company, you and many others. You guys are just so real and down-to-earth. And I enjoy watching. So much better than anything on television. Thanks for all the inspiration.
Love that you found those flower frogs. I have never seen them in the wild. Can't wait to see how you style the things you got today. Love watching you Julie. 🐥🐣🐥
Marlene peters - of course i loved what you bought. Really loved the warren kimble painting on glass. I love his work. See you on your styling video. Can't wait!
Wow! awesome Julie, 😎❤️ I love the first white pottery and the 2 paintings and the cutting board... waiting another video again... Watching from Missouri
The Warren Kimball cutting board: paint the back damage with green paint to cover the missing paint and frame it so you can display on the wall. I think it would look lovely with a wooden frame and painting from the back I don't think will be noticable 🌸
I use them for hot plates also. When I place cast iron on then I cover the glass with a doubled kitchen towel just in case it shatters but with years of use it has never happened.
Glad you made it home and didn't get in that ice storm. We have a lot of families in TX and watched some of the trucks creeping onto the highways. I really like the wood green thingy! ... I can think of a lot of uses for that. Very good haul today. That Goodwill had full shelves, glad you found the Frogs!
I just purchased some vintage valentines cards from ThrilloftheThift and I’m going to attach them to a small dowel (a cut down wooden skewer) and put them in my flower frog.
I love to pick up flower frogs when I find them. I picked up 2 glass ones for $3/ each. It’s funny because not everyone knows what they are. The metal ones are good too. They are great for displaying cards, pictures etc. Fun video! Love shopping along 😊
Julie, that is a round red bank barn. They call it a bank barn because it’s built into the bank of a hill. These types of barns were built by early German or Dutch settlers.
I found a green metal flower frog at GW! I love it. A channel I think you’d love is The Old So and So.. she’s the queen of primitive!! And decorates with hearts ♥️
I have found all of my glass flower frogs at the thrift stores. I would love to find the metal flower frogs. Can’t wait to see what you do with them. Take care Julie!
Just seen your copper pans in your kitchen I all so have a lot of ccopp pans and copper kelt and coffee pot I love rerry old Victorian kitchen and iv finally got the kitchen I have allways won'td and every think is from the charity shops Carol in England. Keep shopping 😊
Hi Julie. I got so excited when I saw you had a new video up. Your content is always so good. I really look forward to each video. The glass cutting board is so pretty. It look to me like a red horse stable barn because of the ornament piece on the top and the black fence. I could be wrong but it is really pretty and I know it's going to look country anywhere you style it. Also the primitive green box piece with the branch handle is so cute. I'm anxious to see how you style it too. It has so many possibilities. It annoys me when these resellers just stand in the middle of the isles and look up on Google about something they find. I find it rude. The isles aren't that wide to begin with and you can just see the look on shopper's faces when the person is in the way. Anyway, I'm like you , I just try and be patient until they,'re through. The cost at Goodwill has really gone up in the area I live in the ( DFW) area of Texas. Thank you for always showing you shopping, your purchases and your styling. I enjoy tagging along! A Nana in Texas. 🇨🇱
There is a thrift store near me who separated into two stores; the regular store with thrift prices for people in need and a “boutique” thrift store next door with resellers’ items at much higher prices. That’s a great idea for a true charitable organization!
Julie, I believe it is a silo on the cutting board. Love it! Always enjoy shopping with you. It's okay to slow down. We'll be here!
Thank you 😊!
Looks like a round barn. I have seen them sometimes in Indiana and also in New England.
Round Barn
Yes, it is a round barn. They can be found in every state.
I would of snatched it back, and reported her to the supervisors.
If reselling is their livelihood, do they not count as people in need?
Those prices were OUTRAGEOUS!!!
Funny how we all love certain decor and happily pass over other things. 🥰
I am a “reseller” (have a Booth in a Dallas Antique Mall), but I also enjoy finding gifts for others and sometimes myself. I hope I never annoy anyone while shopping.
I really enjoy your finds. You have such an eye for things and what you can turn them into. 😍
That’s awesome where are you located I would love to check out your booth. @lindahicks26

That little corner shelf on the bottom at 7:34 was nice, but these prices are ridiculous!
They won Kimball cutting board would be framed and put on my wall that is beautiful in my kitchen especially when you do it for spring
We all need to give ourselves some grace, your videos always seem genuine. Enjoy them all!
Thank you 😊!
Love that pic you held in your hand with the stitched flowers 😍
HELLO HELLO HELLO JULIE !!! I have missed you. Yes…slowing down is not easy when we are use to accomplishing much! But surgeries are behind me, hospital stays are behind me that I know about 😬 !!! 🙏🙏 Seeing is better…but waiting for the appt to get new glasses.
Yes, Flower Frogs are expensive ! Probably because they have become popular. Nice finds and love the glass cutting board!
Pray all is GOOD with my Texas family !
Love, hugs and prayers..🙏🙏❤️❤️🙏🙏
That color green looks great on you! Great video, I love your style.
Thank you 😊!☺️
I used to be jealous of the Goodwills in your area because the prices were so good but l see they have caught up with my Goodwills. Some of those prices are ridiculous considering they pay nothing for their inventory. I do enjoy watching your videos and how you use your items.
I love the corn holders, too.
I’m physically able to get down, but it’s the getting back up is the hardest part!😂😂😂😂
Warren Kimble’s picture is a round barn.
I love the flower frogs, but a lot of the
buyers don’t like the clear glass one.
The flower frogs with the spikes are
popular to hold up old post cards,
photographs and greeting cards.
Have fun figuring out how you’ll
used yours to display something.
I’ve seen them used to display
antique pens
and antique marbles. ❤❤
Slow down. What a great reminder. I get hyper and then spin my wheels. Deep breaths. I love your finds here. Can't wait to find your redos.❤
I’m here for everything you do. Take your time and enjoy the process. Your videos are so genuine. I love that!
Love the green basket with the vine handle❣️ (It would also look good painted a mat black and distressed)
Don’t where you are in Texas but your Goodwill is as proud of their stuff as mine in North Dallas😂😂
I think that could be a red silo building on the glass cutting board... yes, it's raffia and great for many different kinds of crafts... awesome flower frogs find!! and yes, they are normally expensive and hard to find as a lot of ppl are collecting them now!
I thought it looked like a silo too. I've never seen a silo with windows, though. But I haven't seen them all.
Thank you 😊!
Awe, thank you 😊! And I almost did not start a TH-cam channel because my accent is so country.
God Bless.

Oh what fun ideas! Thank you 😊!
Great ideas for using them 👍.
What a fun thrifting day and Warren Kimball anything always makes my day! A red grain silo, lots of those in our rural area, real ones 😂. Great video❤

I am so glad you had such a great time shopping at the Goodwill today. I had fun watching your video ❤
It’s so refreshing to watch someone that’s thrifting for yourself. Resellers have ruid thrift stores.
That green hat and sweater suits you, girl.
Thank you 😊!
Great finds on the flower frogs! I have been lucky and have found several glass and metal flower frogs, I use one of them on my desk to hold pens and a metal one for a picture of my only child 😀 he is 30 now , but it's a picture when he was about 3 years old.
Awe, So sweet. Thank you 😊!
Nicole Northgarden uses her metal flower frogs to hold ephemera for each holiday. It's pretty cool.
I am so envious of you finding those flower frogs, I have been looking for some for years. I have never even seen any to purchase.
That’s a round barn in the warren Kimble print. Poplar in Pennsylvania

The frogs were soo exciting! I love to collect them. That was definitely a great find! And a great price!
Love the rustic basket and the vintage bottle..I admire how you are always true to yourself Julie😊❤

So funny! I didn’t know what a flower frog was! I’ll be looking now! I have some beautiful vintage mason jars!
That cross stitch scroll frame would’ve been put in my basket. The flower frogs are neat. I have several Southern Living flower vases with frog lids that I have found thrifting.
Yes we will be coming back tomorrow to watch!
I love Three River Pottery! Those little bowls were cute! Very nice cutting board!
I loved the pottery also. I wonder how much the whole set of dishes were?
See you tomorrow Julie , I love your videos, and seeing how you style your treasures
Thank you 😊!

I'll be back tomorrow, too (or whenever)! Can't wait to see how you style your newest treasures.
Thank you 😊!

Oh this is awesome. Now I want to research it!
The round building in your cutting board is a silo used to store grain or crops in the primitive era
Thank you so much 😊
You are right! We will all still be here even if you slow down. We love you, Julie!🥰🤗 We all need a break once in a while. We are human.
Love that you found those flower frogs. I have never seen them in the wild. Can't wait to see how you style the things you got today. Love watching you Julie. 🐥🐣🐥
You can use a flower frog for a pencil/pen holder on a desk.
Love the things you purchased. Looking forward to seeing how you styled them. ♥️♥️♥️
Thank you 😊!
Marlene peters - of course i loved what you bought. Really loved the warren kimble painting on glass. I love his work. See you on your styling video. Can't wait!

Love shopping with you !
Wow! awesome Julie, 😎❤️ I love the first white pottery and the 2 paintings and the cutting board... waiting another video again... Watching from Missouri
Thank you 😊!
Thanks for taking us along...its so fun!i love when you talk to us as your finding things
In Illinois, we have round barns that look like the painting on your cutting board. They are not common, but they are charming.
Those placemats were perfect for your home!
What you were asking is a silo, to keep the grains in .
The Warren Kimball cutting board: paint the back damage with green paint to cover the missing paint and frame it so you can display on the wall. I think it would look lovely with a wooden frame and painting from the back I don't think will be noticable 🌸
The Warren Kimble cutting board is a Round Barn, barns built like this were very unique and actually worked very well for the farmers that used them.
I always used the cutting boards for hot plates on my counter . I never had a problem of breakage . I think they are tempered glass.Good haul👍
Oh awesome. Thank you 😊!
I use them for hot plates also. When I place cast iron on then I cover the glass with a doubled kitchen towel just in case it shatters but with years of use it has never happened.
I would put the hearts in the wooden basket, that will be adorable.
Julie, you can put your Warren K cutting board in a frame...without the glass of course.
Thank you 😊!
Loved shopping along with you
I just purchased some vintage valentines cards from ThrilloftheThift and I’m going to attach them to a small dowel (a cut down wooden skewer) and put them in my flower frog.
Oh how pretty! Good idea. Thank you 😊!
I haven’t been able to get to Goodwill for months but the prices at that one seemed high to me, or I have a shock when I can get back out.
Love the glass jar w kid
It's a silo in the picture.
Yes, raffia.
The hearts would be cute in a bowl for valentinesday. Especially if u have a wood bowl.
Thank you 😊!
Lol, two flower frogs were what you were excited about, geez, i pick them up for .25 all the time.
It’s a round barn in Shelbourne Vermont… it is a beautiful round barn. I went there for to view a wool rug hooking displays.
I put antique marbles in my frogs. A large marble in the middle and smaller ones in the other holes. All of them have shades of green.
Those wooden mail holders use in your pantry to hold vegetables seeds pks or gravy season packets
Can't wait to see how you style everything. Remember Julie Slow Down! Lol!
I found a green metal flower frog at GW! I love it. A channel I think you’d love is The Old So and So.. she’s the queen of primitive!! And decorates with hearts ♥️
First time here, loved your video, can't wait for the next one
I have found all of my glass flower frogs at the thrift stores. I would love to find the metal flower frogs. Can’t wait to see what you do with them. Take care Julie!
Thank you 😊!
I found a tiny round metal flower frog at an estate sale. The lady gave it to me for free. I love it. It's about the size of a quarter.
Free! That’s awesome
@@ellendowning7128 yeah I was paying for my stuff and she said just take it I'm not charging you for that little thing.

Just take your time, this is a gift to us so relax and enjoy. Your excitement for the flower frogs was great 👍
Hi
You could keep the,, rafia,, strings for your tomatoes planting or others flowers
It is often used by French gardeners
Love watching your channel
Hey sweet lady, yes we will wait for you always!! I love all you share so please take your time.. I believe that's a silo on the glass board....
Thank you 😊!
Thank you for always showing you shopping, your purchases and your styling. I enjoy tagging along! A Nana in Texas. 🇨🇱
