It is excruciatingly annoying that this seems impossible to automate. I have over 1000 images and videos that I need to tag. Some aren't jpeg, so they cant' be tagged anyway because Microsoft didn't bother to add tagging capabilities to any other file format for over a decade since "tags" were introduced ????
I have not tried tagging unknown formats. I will try this on any unknown format. Tell me what format you want to tag so I can try it myself. I will wait your reply 🤍👍
@DOITMOSTAFAAHMED not sure what you mean by format but I have tried using NodeJS to add tags from a database file to a bunch of images but couldn't find a way to open the EXIF metadata for jpeg files in nodejs
I installed the "Files" app for it's tagging feature. From it's website, the preview version is free, otherwise like $8 from the MS store. I just needed tags for audio libraries and virtual instrument searching. Any file can have multiple, user-created tags.

I tried this on a folder that contains pdf files. The properties>detail does not list a "Tag" option. Windows 11
