Rare car and in good condition! Should make a nice restore project. I used to have a '69 GTX w/ a 440, hemi 4-speed with pistol grip shifter, Dana rear and took a lot of work to get back original again, but was so much fun to drive! The '67 is very rare and was a joy to see, thanks!
@@jamesstark8316 In some of those cars, a half tank meant time to be thinking of where to fill it up again. Quarter tank meant enough to get to the station in the straightest line as possible. Still, those cars were the bomb.
67 GTX was my first car. Neighbor was transferred to Japan in 1970 and my parents bought it as a second car for $1800. 440 with 4 speed. My Mom liked driving stick. I inherited it 1977 at 16. Mine was white with blue and white interior. Had the turn signal bullets on the fenders also.
Unbelievable 67 love it I'm building a 67 440 commando four speed myself GTX dark blue top super bee blue with half foot of bottom silver original paint! 👍

I need to find one of these in a barn. Now on disability i couldnt afford one. I should Have bought the 67 i found in 1982 or so. All original 426 GTX auto at 9k. That was a lot of money then but now its nothing. Always kicked myself in the ass for not getting a loan. Now at 57 it would be so enjoyable to work on it as i could. I miss my old hotrods . 3 back surgeries i cant do heavy lifting but a garage and cherry picker i have. That looks exactly like the one my Friend had in the late 60s. He got it used we lived in Greenville sc. I had a 1966 with the 383 4 speed limited slip 323 gears. But his Hemi was bad. You have any history of this one.
many many many Hemi blocks failed in service. my engine guy was a Dodge dealer parts mgr in the late 60's he said half got unstamped replacement blocks
Same with z28 302 engines, they were prone to failure, many were dealer replaced, all they were was a warmed over 283, could not take high revs for long.
Those are called wing windows not smoking windows. That is one of my holy grail mopars B body hemi and a 4 speed/dana 60. Spent over 45 min trying to find the completed auction and found it nowhere. I'm sure you bought it cheap and made good money on it. Wish I had known about it.

So does this only have a deep oil pan on the front half of the engine because of Chrysler's suspension having the steering linkage running across the engine compartment, saw a umcle tony garage video where he was saying all the old chryslers would spin engine bearings from this set up

@@VistaCollectorCars Well, congrats - I suspect the happiest day is when a car is sold and bought, maybe for both the seller and buyer. I have had a recent fascination for a 67 GTX....how much did you sell it for? If you can share.
It sold. The link to the listing is in the description. I have another 67 GTX Hemi coming up for sale soon. Subscribe to my channel and you will see the video on it once it goes live.
Mine always got 8 MPG no matter how you drove it. Had a rusty left quarter panel. Drum brakes up front. Useless over 80 MPH. Never reached top end. I was 21. And drove it like l was.
A word of advice. Cars like this do not require you to push in the clutch to start them. It’s not a new Mustang. Put the car in neutral, then with your foot OFF the clutch, start the car. The part of the video where you are pointing out that there is no choke and you show your left foot with the clutch to the floor is so unbelievably frustrating to someone who understands how cars and engines work. You are putting lots of unnecessary wear on the thrust bearing of the crankshaft. Even if you felt it necessary to start it with the clutch pedal depressed, why keep it there for so long?
Nice car, but pings terribly...either bad fuel, bad timing or both, it shud also idle lower, an indication of maybe too much timing......other than that, i DIG it!!
All original 1 of 312 up for auction. Don't believe a word of it until it's been verified, just too many fakes out there. Oh yeah, that is one potentially beautiful car. Just about my favorite Chrysler drag car.
That engine still captivates grown men. Just silently stare and listen to it 😎
I love the sound of this car with the cam.
It is my belief that no other manufacturer has built more cool cars than Plymouth.

You don't miss many gas stations in this car, that's for sure.
Love to have the 66 Satellite with a Hemi.Satellite with a Hemi still a Muscle Car?
Larry, my 1967 GTX (440) got about 8 mpg on a good day. Only tolerated Sunoco super-duper hi test but in 1968 it ran about 32 cents/gallon. Cheers.

Back in 1968 I had a 66 Hemi Satellite and a 66 GTX w/440. The Hemi was better on gas by about 2mpg. So we drove the Hemi on our Honeymoon.
