How fast are Starlord and Spider-man gonna leave? Sorry but while Spider-man is cool and all you barely notice him in the fight. He's in only two scenes, his introduction and the fight at the airport. Yet after all is said and done he's kicked off the Avengers as fast as he went on.

Ya right. Much like the comics, Spider-man has always been a pariah among fellow Marvel heroes. It took him decades before he became an official avenger because with the exception of Cap and Tony no one wanted him. One of the things Civil War got right was how badly treated he was both in and out of universe.

Why can't the DCEU just write their screenplays before they start shooting the damn movie, that's why marvel is killing the game because they have such good screenplays prior to shooting...I'm a DC fan but gotta admit marvels movies are awesome
They do write them before. Then rewrite them. Then rewrite them again. Until they're shit enough for the WB be execs to be happy with it. Then they mess it up even more in editing for a laugh.
It's more than just that. They're rushing the shit out of their movies instead of focusing on making a solid movie first, and slowly building up like Marvel did. And even when they do make a solid movie (like the original cut of BvS), the studio executives order reshoots, re-writes, re-edits, and hire outside editing companies to make the final cut of the movie.
In an attempt to make a quick buck and compete with Marvel, they're forgetting what makes Marvel so successful.

There's already a documentary it's called "Assembling A Universe".
I agree- whilst Assembling A Universe is a cool retrospective and has some insight, a proper documentary that goes in depth over each movie and the TV series and showing how it went from Iron Man all the way to the end of the Infinity War with new Interviews and Behind the Scenes stuff we have never seen before would be amazing.
Two documentaries that utilised this very well were the Friday the 13th and Nightmare on Elm Street "Crystal Lake Memories" and "Never Sleep Again."
If Marvel could do this, clocking it at around 30 minutes per movie and TV show/netflix series- it'd be the longest, most comprehensive documentary ever.
And I guarantee it would be watched.

I watched this promo back in 2017 and immediatly got a feeling that marvel was creating something great and after watching Infinity war all I can say is that MCU has succeded in one thing where others have failed. They lived up to the hype. Thank you marvel for giving us this masterpiece.

This is it, this is everything the MCU has been up towards; here's an important message for Kevin Feige and the Russo Bros.: DON'T. MAKE. THANOS FUNNY. Thanos should not be funny, he should be a sadistic, terrifying, mad-as-a-box-of-frogs Titan who is willing to sacrifice the Universe to win the love of Death herself. Aside from Loki and Red Skull, the MCU has nerfed so many villains who were so menacing in the original comics, into wisecracking jokesters or bland non-entities (not counting the superb villains of the Netflix shows, Kingpin, Killgrave, Cottonmouth). Seemingly they've been doing this to make Thanos look more menacing by comparison. Let's hope once "Avengers: Infinity War" opens, they deliver on making Thanos memorable and scary.

Here's why Marvel is light years ahead of DC. Marvel was patient with creating its universe. Nothing was rushed. Marvel took some pretty risky chances with both Dr. Strange and GOTG. Marvel cast the right people. Marvel didn't go after only the biggest names but the right ones. Marvel treated us and its audience like we didn't know who these well-known characters were. Smart. Marvel knew who to introduce and when. They got the right directors and went for people who needed a career rebirth i.e. Paul Bettany, RDJ and a few others. Marvel listens to its fans for the most part. they ask us what we want to see and for the most part we got it; Civil War, Dr. Strange, Winter Soldier. Marvel has put together incredible trailers while making sure not to give away, too much while giving us glimpses of what to expect. they never crammed in characters that clearly didn't have a spot in a film. Marvel was patient with this whole entire process. I'm sure they wanted to just splurge with this entire thing but they also knew if they did too much at once it would be a giant mess like BvS was. Marvel planned this whole cinematic universe out beautifully. they listed all of the movies they wanted to do and when to do it. they gave each character their time to shine while making sure they didn't alienate anyone. yes they have made some people unhappy like Natalie Portman, Idris Alba and even Joss Whedon but unfortunately things like this happen. What's most important is that they used the key word, patience. DC tried to do too much too soon, trying to catch immediately. Now look at them, JLA is said to be a mess with only one movie that looks good but we all know how that went with SS, hopefully WW won't be a train wreck. Time will tell.

Joss because when he was doing AOU Kevin and Com, wanted AOU to lead into other films while Whedon wanted to keep his Hawkeye is the hero bass line intact. The two did compromise a little bit but from what he said he was a little rushed into getting a trailer out a little sooner than he wanted to Joss did say that 'AOU little broke me' because of how much time he was spending on the film. Idris Alba made issues about how grueling the scheduling was for him and how the day seemed to go longer than normally expected. Natalie Portman from what I've read wasn't too thrilled with how the first 2 movies went and was dogged by fans over how horrible she was in them. I don't know if there were more reasons but that's all i saw and remember reading. If you learn more than i did please do share with me

There is absolutely zero chance this will be "the greatest movie of all time". No superhero movie ever made is anywhere close to claiming that title.
Mega Zeta not true - the first Avengers movie made it as the 5th highest grossing film of all time, Age of Ultron (the second) made it as the 7th highest, and Iron Man 3 made it as the 10th highest.
Still nothing ever comes to Avatar and Titanic. Star Wars tried but failed.
I think these films have to opportunity, under the quality of Anthony and Joe Russo's direction plus the emotional development of ALL the characters to be great great films, but the story and end have to be exceptionally stong and good, but I feel they will, I think these will be right up there witht the best superhero films of all time.

The first Avengers was the first superhero movie I ever had the pleasure of witnessing in a theatre and I was in awe. This is so amazing a franchise that has a place in the hearts of millions of people can be so amazing through ALL the movies. Just watching this Made me tear up. Thank you Marvel.
Ah, beautiful. I love both the MCU and the DCEU but seeing this, you can definitely tell Marvel has more love for these characters and this franchise than WB has for DC. DC tried to play catch, made movies for money and it almost seems like the DCEU is violating the beauty of what it means to set up a connected cinematic universe and also insulting the beauty of bringing these beloved characters to life on the big screen for all to enjoy.
this is the problem. folks expect everyone to copy what disney did in creating a "cinematic universe". I'm glad Warner BRos took a different tone. i want my superhero movies to have impact. the marvel movies dont really make me feel the villians dont seem to really be about that villian life. i dont need a big build up to JL. they could've made JL first and then make solo movies i'd be fine with that. now if DC were to copycat Marvel then folks would be whining about DC copying marvel.
DC was mainly counting on the "brand recognition" since they still have the films rights to all their most recognizable properties. Everyone knows Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman, and even Flash, so DC didn't feel they had to put any real work into developing the characters. Marvel had to build their cinematic universe with what were basically their B- and C- list titles, so they put more effort into actually getting people interested, and in making a good movie.
I like the DC universe better than the Marvel universe, but in terms of movies DC should stick to animated and let Marvel take the big screen.

***** The thing is Marvel has a very clear vision for what they want their franchise to be and what it's building up to. Like Feige said, Marvel has had this vision since 2008 and started to really build it up in 2012 with the Avengers. I don't care if DC copies Marvel or not, I just want them to have a very evident idea of what they want and not just make movies for money knowing people will watch them. By the way, the DCEU hasn't had any great villains either (maybe Zod). At least the MCU had Red Skull, Loki, and Bucky.
