This would’ve been better as a two hour movie. It didn’t need to be eight episodes long. Too many unnecessary characters, too much was overlooked by authorities, and the plot would have benefited from online reactions to claims made against him and the claims he eventually makes. I really wanted to enjoy the show, but so much of it felt unnecessary.
Agreed, I don't like it only 3 episodes in and don't plan watching the rest but I agree as a 2hr movie it would have been better. I don't like the wife dynamic and the story is wak as hell as a drawn out 8 episode snooze fest.
Nobody that educated would handle that situation so shitty…very unrealistic…the man went to the police before his lawyer an educated black man would never
If you've ever watched the TH-cam channel "Pitch Meeting" the producer would have asked "So why didn't he just go to a high powered lawyer right at the start to clear his name?" And the pitch guy would simply say "Because" or "Hey shut up" 😂
Lead character looks like he's gasping for air the whole movie with the same expression. Stands out everywhere and does nothing to hide appearance. The master killer looks like Martha Stewart? This is literally the most laid back guy that is being framed and hunted but killers. None of it makes any sense. FBI agents are just bizarre.
I'm on episode 5 I'm really enjoying it I just hate series because of sitting through all the episodes and if the ending isn't good I've wasted a lot of time! Hopefully this will end well.
I’m on episode 5 as well… I’m enjoying it, it is compelling but in a few scenes things can seem a little disappointing but because I know it was made to entertain us. I’m going to stay to the end and same as you I do hope the ending goes well.
@@Coast2CoastGoat as someone who binged a shi£ load of shows over the last one year , most of which I didn’t even bother watching till the end, this one was good. 7.5 seems about right. Most shows these days hover around 4-5 imo

Finished 4 episodes last night. Pretty good, but doesn't seem like it needs 4 more episodes are needed. Hope it gets better, and quit leaning towards having every white person hating the black man still shoved down our throats. The dialogue, especially in parts where Dimingo's character does a completely shitty job explaining his being at a murder scene, is not believable.
When I watch a movie I have the capacity to understand it is a fictional drama that it will not be perfect. I am also receptive to be entertained and will binge movies in one day normally if I enjoy the action. I loved Madness and watched it over 2 days. I do not mind episodes because I am interested in being entertained. I realize certain situations in the movie seemed hokey but I am more positive and overlook them. Now I am the kind of person that if I truly love the movie plus entertained I can watch it over 10 times like “Once Upon A Time In The West”. This movie is excellent but it is a one time watch for me, very few movies reach the 10 time mark. Anyhow I recommend people to just watch to be entertained don’t be a movie “Karen”.
It started off ok agree should of done a movie version would of worked im on ep 3 it’s becoming laughable now the amount of leads and clues he gets from strangers As if he’d get into a no law compound it’s just so unbelievable.I laughed so hard when he’s looking for don and finds his dad and he randomly asks him into to his house that’s convenient crack open the beers for his dad to tell him he’s son life story it’s total madness ha not sure can take much more tbh getting to unbelievable now.
When he went back to the house with the police basically alone after a body was chopped up and two people tried to kill him just did it for me. Unrealistic
I’m going to chime in as I noticed you overlooked a major focus of this limited series, which is fair because without context or experience I could see how someone such as yourself could come to the conclusion that law enforcement in this show was turning a blind eye or acting unrealistic. I suggest getting a 2nd opinion on that from say, a black man living in Philadelphia or New York City or really any urban metro area. It seems unrealistic simply because your experience and perception of law enforcement greatly differs from the reality most black Americans actually deal with on a daily basis. Law enforcement OFTEN turn a blind eye to our communities in times of need and through personal experience, I can say so do the feds. Additionally, just like in the series, despite what they want you to believe it often comes from the top down, not the bottom up. This is why a lot of law enforcement would like you to believe there are a few bad apples when in actuality the whole orchard is poisoned. A lot of them subconsciously (or consciously) see black people as criminals or criminal adjacent and thus aren’t treated vastly different. You believe it’s unrealistic that cops don’t respond to gunshots in a black neighborhood? Talk to someone who lives in one and you would think differently. You think it’s unrealistic that cops would try to incriminate as opposed investigate? Try asking a black man what he thinks about that sentiment. I definitely think this show is going to have a disconnect with people who don’t really deal with any of this in their actual lives, but for a lot of us we do.
Why are gunshots in black neighborhoods common place? That should be your question. Stop being a victim and hold your community accountable the same way you do the police.
@@np4qzagsIf that’s what you got from any of that then reading comprehension really is at an all time low. No one called it common place bud. You added that bit yourself because you’re obviously trying to project how you feel. You’ve taken a statement about others experiences and decided to form your own erroneous conclusion because you feel small and rejecting marginalization somehow makes you feel bigger. It’s alright though. Cause if it’s not happening to you it must not be happening right?
Very sloppy writing. Nothing ground breaking, constantly losing focus. I need people to start using nuance when describing something. Using the word “woke” for everything feels lazy man. That’s all I see for everything I review.
@AustinBurke Some people are just fed up with the "black guy good, white guy bad kind of BS". They keep trying to stir up racial tensions. But for what purpose? Yes, this show is super woke and it needs to be said. Repeatedly.
Well I watched it for Victor Strand in fear the walking dead and this isn't his best work. Weak writing but still watchable. Not sure if it's woke but it's kinda boring.
What the reviewer is deperately trying to say, but is too nice to do so, is that it is rubbish! Don't waste 6-8 hours of your time with this show. It's not worth it!
@@matejmatthewbures6300give an example of why this series is relevant for current times? Instead of calling someone ignorant, enlighten people as to why you feel this series is so relevant.
@@WilliamNeish because precisely the themes that Austin mentioned in the review, issues concerning race and prejudice etc., are still extremely relevant today. The “unwanted agendas” you talked about are actually just reality. Dramatized for the purposes of a conspiracy plot, but that doesn’t make them false or irrelevant.
@ you provided nothing specific just a bunch of vague social justice talking points. These types of shows have zero relevancy, their aim is to stoke racial tensions. There are far more race hoaxes that take place in this country than actual incidents of pure racial hatred; in fact if anything there has been significant racial hatred towards Caucasian men in this country. That doesn’t mean racial discrimination doesn’t exist but it’s considerably less than what took place 50 or 60 years ago. Want proof of blatant racial discrimination against Caucasian men? Look no further than DEI initiatives across this country; they specifically discriminate against white men and women.
