    I purchased via custom order from a local Dealer yesterday, it's a riverside blue '22 1SS 1LE Getting a DAMM good price since my good friend has purchased multiple cars here from this family owned business. Can not wait to get it. Got out of my '16 VOLT after 6 years while getting good money for it, more than half of what I paid. Wow and unbelievable! I have had a 2017 ZL1 since December 2016. After watching your video, I checked the coolant reservoir you referred to in this video. A8’s (16-18) after sitting for a few days. 1st to 2nd gear shift are rough. The reason being is because all the fluid drains from the clutch pack. Idk about the A10. Also if that car has 50K miles on it make the dealer change the fluid before you purchase. Check your oil once or twice a week. Check your coolant as well. Also, check brakes and tires. Check all electronics to make sure they work. I had the car for two days and realized my heated/cooled seats did not work.

      My 18 2SS has the A8 and did start to develop a shutter at higher speeds around 1500 plus miles. I took it to the GM dealer and they changed the fluids in it. Come to find out, the fluid had some water content in it from the factory as they had seen this a few times before. After that flush and change of fluids, problem free ever since. It has always shifted great though even after sitting awhile. GM has a bulletin out on that though I believe for the A8's if they start to act up like that.

    • @Hot-1LE

      Basically if you can’t easily add it yourself then get it from the factory. If you can easily add it then buy it separate. Avoid interest on the parts and you can resell your replaced parts (if there is any)

    Love the sound of the car! Guys make the car dealership sound scary.....it's not. Usually a customer who comes in with their head on their shoulder who has done their research has a great experience. If you argue with the finance department you'll get a better rate. Most dealerships pay you 500 to 1000 dollars to use their financing. There's no "gotchas" as this guy speaks of. That's called federal time if a finance manager forces you to pay charges for extra fees or for extra services. It's illegal. And take the 500 to 1k discount to finance with the dealership. No problem. Just remember to refinance later. Win win. Dealerships don't keep your stock parts. They're worthless to us and to the customer. We always put them back in the trunk or in the trash of the customer requests it which is most common. The more stand off ish and not educated you are the worse the experience you'll have. This isn't rocket science. Fair warning there is a wait for about any vehicle you buy. Some dealerships mark up special edition cars because the used ones sell for as much as the MSRP on the new ones. Buy from a dealership like mine that doesn't mark regular cars or trim levels up 5k etc. Special edition cars like a ZL1 that are not common WILL mark them up and there's no way around it. Kbb your trade but remember: KBB is taking into consideration that most dealers mark the new vehicles up 5k etc. Remember to be kinder to the dealerships that don't mark the vehicles up. That dealership will also likely only give you lower end of the value displayed on KBB because they are being fair on their prices. Buying a car is easy when you have patience and work with a salesperson who returns your calls or texts in a timely manner. It's not that hard of a process folks. If you hate the finance procsess after buying a car simply tell the finance manager no in a polite way after they present their warrantees etc. You don't have to buy them but cars break and buying an extended warranty is advised if you don't have money to spare for emergency repairs. That's all for today!

    Credit unions will still quote you a higher rate than u should be getting because some of the percentage is paid to the dealership.Dealerships can mark up the rate up to 2%. Credit unions does this so dealerships will use them, and also dealerships have access to credit unions called CUDL (credit union direct lending). The only credit union i know that doesn’t do this are military banks.

    • @Hot-1LE
      @Hot-1LE  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Get the credit union quote not through the dealer. My credit union just wanted to make sure it was a franchised dealer and not specifically who. Dealer couldn't get close to the rate.

    • @Se7en_e1even
      @Se7en_e1even 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If it’s a credit union in their CUDL program they most likely quoted more than the buy in (cost) for the dealer’s rate. When I was doing Finance in the car business, the only credit union that that quote the cost rate are small credit unions that aren’t in CUDL program. CUDL credit unions leave the dealership extra % so dealership will send them more deals, so hard to say if u got a marked up rate or the cost rate. If u got the cost rate, dealership still gets a flat fee from the bank, less money than a markup rate and I bet you that dealership doesn’t send that that CU deals. The best banks to use for dealership right now are manufacturer financing or online lenders, it’s usually the lowest apr, and the dealer doesn’t get any flat fee or mark up %. If the dealer think’s they can beat the rate then even better for you, your credit isn’t affected badly. Credit pulls that are in within 10 days counts as 1. Being used to be in the business, when I buy a car I usually use the manufacturer’s financing or I’m pre-approved with my military bank and I ask them to beat the rate, plus I can just call up old buddies that are still in the business to see the buy in rates for loans. And I never buy extended service contracts etc. those are marked up 2-3 times the cost. Your $3000 3-5 yr extended contract’s cost to dealership is $950. It’s cheaper to buy them from a 3rd party when your manufacturer’s warranty. And anything that the dealership’s sale department sells to you are negotiable, even doc fee. Except Tax Title Licensing.

    I’m saving up to buy a Camaro but I’m worried about how much the insurance will cost me. I’m a male 21 yrs and I know it’s going to be expensive af. Also I really like the “newer” 6th gen Camaros which I consider to be 2019-2024 but preferably 2020+ since I don’t like the front bumpers from the 2019s but I mainly want the newer gen models because of the transmission and just the touchscreen is newer. I don’t really know the difference performance wise from an 8speed auto compared to the 10 speeds the newer models have but I’m aiming towards getting a 2SS. I guess if I had questions it’d be: what’s the difference between the 8 speed and 10 speed autos? How much is maintenance cost? And if possible insurance cost as well?

    • @Hot-1LE
      @Hot-1LE  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      For insurance just do some online quotes from a few insurance carriers. You can get the VIN from a car similar to then one you want from cargurus or whatever. Maintenance isnt bad the oil changes are a little much around $150. Other than that just tires haha. If your going to get an auto id def get the 10 speed of the 2020+ its just a better transmission.

      The a8 had trans shudder issues. Most the fixes was to change the trans fluid early on. Some people got new torque converters. That would be my most concern with an a8.

    • @Hot-1LE
      @Hot-1LE  ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't have your answer but I can offer insight. Drive both of them. If your a back road canyon drive that loves taking turns the 1le is superior and really rewards that sense. The 2ss is completely capable but the 1le is just better. The bang for the buck goes to the 1le as well. I really encourage driving both though. For me i liked both so much but the 1le just seeing it pulled me in like nothing else. It's just a race car right out of the box. Wish you luck on your search

  • @frbrbrgrblgrr7777
    @frbrbrgrblgrr7777 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    If you are getting a Camaro now here's my 2 cents. Get an auto, it is faster and it holds better resell.
    If you want sporty things, just get the 1LE. The only upgrade I would recommend is the Premium Audio, the rest can bugger off.

    • @Hot-1LE
      @Hot-1LE  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Manuals hold better value, It's always been this way. There's less of them and they are highly desired. Also watch my races vs the auto it's from a roll the same. Negligible difference from a dig. Buy whatever you like because it's not really that much of a difference

      @@Hot-1LE I have to disagree from experience with a-lot of the newer cars. Where I have been autos get an extra mark up and it sells quicker. That is just with the changing pace of things never was the norm in the places I've been. Ish, the Auto is fantastic and if you plan to build it up I will take that 10 speed any day of the week over the 6 as someone who works on them.
      8 Speeds can stay in the trash but the A10 is by far superior to the M6 all around and holds up. The 1LE comes with the heavy duty cooling which is great. The 3rd Pedal gotta move a stick around is a hobby thing. If you are buying a car as a hobby / enthusiast then it's driver's choice. Performance wise it's a no brain move. But let's be real most people can't afford to actually race these cars. They are almost all financed so folks ain't exactly jumping to work the car or build it up.
      Spirited driving =/= racing or beating the hell out of it. I watched your videos because you do what we call in the shop spirited driving. What the car is really built for. We see racing / spirited driving and it's an easy decision. We will say whatever we can to warranty the car. Beating the shit out of it, nah. Play stupid games pay the stupid tax.
      I do really like that you said don't add the accessories. It's very true, we put that stuff on ourselves. Even the spoilers. A-lot of times we have to install those too.
      I will say performance, strength and all that aside. If you have twisty roads and that is what your idea of weekend fun is and not chasing times. That M6 will make that experience MUCH better and stock for stock they are both fantastic.

    • @frbrbrgrblgrr7777
      @frbrbrgrblgrr7777 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I do want to add mine is an M6. The reason for me going M6. Dying and old tech which makes it harder to steal. We had a few thefts in town where the person was caught because their biggest obstacle was that mysterious 3rd pedal and weird wobbly shifter.

    Wow I'm buying a new Camaro tomorrow. I'm glad I listened to this. Thanks! I never trust any dealer. Remember they are only treating you nice so as to make more money off you . Never never buy the extended warranty when buy a new car. You can always buy a extended warranty later on when you get closer to your new car warranty expiring. And extended warrantys are Always much cheaper outside of the dealership and they work the exact same way
