Is the NEW Blue Trail good? | MTB Cannock Chase

- The new blue trail opened last week after many months of work. Let's give it a go.
I originally thought this trail was an optional section for the start of Follow the Dog, but turns out it's an entirely new, relatively short trail.

Thanks for that. Don't worry about speed, just enjoy the fact you're doing it.
I use it as a warmup, lovely little trail. Superb for beginners, and still great fun as a little flow trail for intermediate riders.
Awesome I’m getting back into mountain biking this year after nearly 3 years off due to injury and this looks great to build my fitness back up, thanks for the upload.

I did the Perry trail for the first time yesterday and ended up doing 2 laps because of the signage at the end. Still great fun!

Yeah it's much better now that the surface has packed down
I enjoyed the blue trail, did it 4 times, smooth and flowing with a few red trails thrown in👍

Oh haha I did all the black and reds when I went there and even did the drop near the end
I went two days ago and the sign posts are still confusing. Started it again and got to the bridge before I realised (granted not that far in but still).
But it’s still a awesome trail for someone who’s new to biking like I am. Definitely going again when I get the time (it’s a hour and half away from me as I’m right next to Sherwood Pines bike trails what are also decent)
Yeah it's a fantastic trail for progression, as are the red trails.

Was here today, did this trail twice. That berm at 4:15 kept catching me out, it’s much steeper in person lol
Hoping to take my boy on it soon as he's now onto.a bigger bike. Usually you end up with people on E Bikes or extremely competent bikers behind whinging about kids on the course.
Got to learn somewhere. 🤷♂️

Absolutely! You'll have no problems - used to have a Bizango myself

Great vid. Not visited yet but will do this week. I’ve got an Apollo MTB 27.5 wheel. Upgraded the brakes to hydrolic and changed the forks to Suntour XCR32 with lockout and some adjustment to preload but no rebound adjustment. Would this be a suitable bike for blue trails at Cannock? Subbed.
The blue trail is very smooth and could be ridden on any MTB really - you'll be fine. Thanks for subbing!

Do you think this trail would be ok for a gravel bike? I’m fairly local to Cannock chase and haven’t done it yet, I do also have a mountain bike but was gonna lend that to my less experienced friend.

I just don’t get the rock garden at the start of the red trail on Follow The Dog, a gate keeper perhaps?
Yeah I think it is supposed to be a qualifier of sorts. It is a bit awkward though.
Do you miss the rocky bit where you go past the fence and cross the main path? Or is that bit not on the blue trail? TIA.
Yeah that's right - the rock garden (Stegosaurus) is still part of the Follow the Dog trail

How long does it take to complete?
It's been a minute since I've ridden it so I'm not sure exactly, but probably 15-30 minutes depending on your speed
