It would be great to have a more detailed tutorial on the Cubase Pro score editor... I recently bought it and I'am having a hard time master it. Cubase is a great DAW, but its score editor is kind of limited and difficult to use, especially compared to Dorico but unfortunately the latter doesn't have nearly the features of the former. You can select about eight types of background textures, almost all of which are bad, but if you choose "blank", you can't select a background color either. It would be great to have this amazing DAW with a score editor to the same level.
When are they happening in Nuendo? Will be disappointing after taking the offer to go from Cubase 10.5 to Nuendo that Cubase has extra features that Nuendo doesn't. PS: I also use Dorico.
@@JohnnyBEWork Thanks for reply - Ay idea how long it normally takes - I use Dorico as well and the new score features are steps to bring Dorico and Cubase closer together.
Hello, I have a track with 2 MIDI inserts. Chorder and Arpache 5. I made a basic sequence of chords with 1 note from chorder and modified it to a single note melody with Arpache and i need score editor to display the melody made with Arpache 5. When I open Score Editor I cant seem to find the sequence of individual notes made with Arpache 5. Is there a way to read the MIDI inserts changes with Score Editor? I cant seem to find any info. Thanks a lot.
in the new cubase 12, has the new score editor been improved-if so how about an updated video....what about a Dorico 4 integration to get the max result...TIA Alan Russell
Is it possible to change that gray textured background to a plain white at least textured white? This gray one seems a bit tiring to look over a long period, I guess!
All I need to know: Can I write notation directly on sheet with a pen tablet, or do I still need Avid Sibelius for that timesaving workflow? Time is money, ya know..

After all these years of people begging Steinberg to go all the way and fully develop the score editor. It will make Cubase the Daw of Daws and many professional composers very happy indeed and they would also corner the market. It really doesn't make any sense, management cannot be that out of touch, surely!
Now this is starting to get exciting. Still in its infancy, but I can’t wait to see what kind of Dorico integration Cubase will feature in the future.

Is this all available (including note editing overlay) in the 'basic' score editor in Cubase Elements 11? Or just in the more expensive versions?

In general, new features always come first in Cubase - once polished they get implemented in the next Nuendo version as well.

How do I change the title if i chose scoring when i was creating a new file? I have grey word "title" and i can't remove it anyhow
